Celebrated Mother's Day with our family at Marida. The restaurant is by the Ohio River. The decor is beautiful quite pretty with trees filled with flowers. What a beautiful setting for lunch in a perfect sunny day. We were lucky to get the best table. Reservations helped. Most of us ordered the Mixed Grilled Kebab & we are all satisfied. The food was so tasty & service was top notch. We were a party of 11 and at times had 4 waiters serving us simultaneously. We have been trying to get to place ever since they open. My only regret is that it took so long to get here. The food is remarkable with nice size portions. The views were incredible, and I timed my visit just right as the outdoor patio was in full bloom with a variety of exquisite flowers and trees. The service was impeccable, and I was pleasantly surprised by what I felt were very reasonable prices for everything on the menu. There was not a single person at our tables who did not enjoy the food. We got many of their drinks and every single one exceeded our expectation. Their lamb / gyro meat is probably the best lamb I've tried too. In terms of atmosphere, this is a great restaurant to take friends and family to - I have taken my friends and family to this restaurant 2x in the last week, and my husband is taking his colleagues there again for dinner tonight. With multiple different areas and vibes, Marida is 100% our new go-to spot for everything: friends outing, hosting family, and date nights. In October, we took our out-of-town guests here for lunch. I've always loved this location, but the new management has improved on the location. We made our reservation online (I recommend this even for lunch). They sat us in a beautiful area outside. Our server was helpful and the service was good. We weren't in a hurry so we ordered our appetizers first, humus and Gozleme (flatbread stuffed with spinach and cheese. Served with tzatziki sauce.) Both appetizers were yummy. For the main course I chose the Grilled Veggie Plate. It was brought to me with rice, which was really good, but the server never asked me if I wanted rice or polenta. I would have chosen polenta to taste theirs. It was a good choice for lunch. Hubby chose the Chicken Gyro Sandwich with the chicken gyro meat and the fixings wrapped in lavash served with fries. I live in Indianapolis and had been eagerly awaiting to try this on my next visit back home to Evansville/Newburgh. There's not many Mediterranean, much less Turkish, places in Indiana so it was great to see this open in the area. The restaurant has multiple levels out outdoor seating terraces overlooking the river. It was especially nice right at sunset. They had a nice selection of appetizers and traditional/classic Turkish meals as well as a few basic meat dishes that wouldn't throw of someone new to Turkish food. The waitstaff was very professional and friendly. I could tell they were still working out a few kinks being open less than a month, but all in all the service was good. I enjoyed the flavors of everything we tried. The interior of the restaurant had these complex water/bubble lighted walls. It looked kind of cool but maybe a smidge overdone or trying to be fancy, but accidentally over the top. Food was reasonably priced. I don't like when places don't have prices on their cocktail menu and that was the case here. It's weird. Definitely will plan to come back and try other dishes! read more

I've been here twice in 2 weeks and the meat is tough. I don't cook lamb a lot but I know beef. They served stew meat quality in a $20 dish. Buy a pressure cooker or an abetter quality meat. I could make that meal with fillet from Sam's for $15 a plate. So disappointed when I just want to go out for a decent meal. read more

I had been here when this location was the Landing and I am SO impressed with the transformation. We happened upon Marida's soft opening and we were so happy with our experience. The interior is beautiful, the servers are friendly, and the food was SO delicious. The taste was authentic and now there's finally a place OTHER than Arazu to get a table for a group, with something on the menu for everyone.
