Wonderful selection of Mediterranean dishes, cocktails and superb service. I've never had a bad meal. The interior is lovely, but if it isn't hot, sit outside and enjoy to view of the river. read more

Second visit.. unfortunately not the best experience. The main dishes and apps were stuff pretty good, but we were seated in the lounge and the bartender clearly had no interest in serving us. It took over 10 minutes after being seated to be greeted again. Bartender couldn't answer whether something was beef or lamb for the table beside us. And on the way out we saw the staff carrying in Sam's Club cheesecake in boxes. Presumably this is the cheesecake they sell for $5 a slice, which is sold at the cost of $15 for 12 slices at your neighborhood Sam's. read more

Very nice Mediterranean restaurant on the river in Newburgh IN. Staff was so friendly and kind. Food was delicious. The cabbage rolls were perfection. A thunderstorm came up as we were leaving and the staff allinsisted on getting an umbrella and walking us all out to our car. The young man who escorted us is the best! Very nice touch. Yum! I've seen this place, which is located in a beautiful spot right on the river, a number of times and finally took the plunge today. I ordered an appetizer platter and a Gyro plate. The service was quick through Uber Eats! Mixed plate - every single item was fresh and tasty. My favorite was the red pepper "stuff". Delish. Doner (Gyro) - the meat is well seasoned and the portion is huge. Rice is cooked well and seasoned. read more

This place is a gem! The ambiance and environment is fancy, but chill. The fries were fantastic. I got the falafel wrap which was perfection. I had two different cocktails and for dessert the baklava was so fresh! The bartender Atu was spot on with everything. He was fast, easy to talk to, and made some damn good drinks. I can't wait to be back! read more

We came for lunch on a Saturday. We had great service. We order led the appetizer sampler and enjoyed trying each of them. We needed a little more bread or some other dipping options for the items on the platter. We shared a doner (gyro) platter and it was very tasty! Prices were reasonable and we would be happy to return. read more

Love the balloon bread, the ambiance, just a great place for an upscale or special occasion meal. All of the cocktails we have had have been fantastic. Service is a bit hit or miss, if the owner is available, he's super helpful and informative, but other times servers have forgotten about us or just just been a little bit indifferent. read more

This was the first time that I had eaten here. The food and drinks were amazing, and such a great variety of dishes representing different Mediterranean cuisines. The service was absolutely fantastic, Drew served us and he did an excellent job! The environment was so beautiful, sitting on the patio enjoying the view of the river, and listening to the music was so relaxing-- all around such a great experience ! We will go back! read more

Celebrated Mother's Day with our family at Marida. The restaurant is by the Ohio River. The decor is beautiful quite pretty with trees filled with flowers. What a beautiful setting for lunch in a perfect sunny day. We were lucky to get the best table. Reservations helped. Most of us ordered the Mixed Grilled Kebab & we are all satisfied. The food was so tasty & service was top notch. We were a party of 11 and at times had 4 waiters serving us simultaneously. I love Mediterranean cuisine so for me it was a perfect spot for our celebration. I highly recommend this place. read more

We have been trying to get to place ever since they open. My only regret is that it took so long to get here. The food is remarkable with nice size portions. Everyone in our family got something different and we all agreed that this is our new favorite place. The waiter was extremely nice and very helpful. Even the manager come by and talked with us. The food was authentic and delicious. We shared a mixed appetizer. Excellent dips/spreads with warm pita. Chicken kebab was delicious / donner wrap (gyro) was excellent. Beautiful restaurant / fine decor. View of the river from our table. Server was kind, attentive and patient with myself and my young daughter as we navigated the menu (thank you to Huda for the excellent service). We look forward to returning and telling our friends. read more

Marida is beautiful inside with its posh green booths and modern decorations. The view of the river is equally beautiful. The staff were friendly and really strive to make sure guests have a great experience. The food was delicious. The gnocchi was just as good as what I had eaten in Italy. The rice and grilled tomatoes that came with many of the dishes were so simple and yet stood out just as much as the main course. Marida is a precious gem in this picturesque town. read more

First time to Evansville, Indiana, in many years for work. I looked up Turkish restaurants in the area for dinner. I found this place a hidden gem !!!!! the food was incredible, I love the atmosphere & my conversation with the bartender Altug. he was also from his Izmir , Turkey where I went to high school (1982-1985). I will definitely be back. Can't wait to eat Doner & Kunefe. Thanks so very much for the hospitality and the bottle of wine from Izmir that I am taking home for my wife.

Restaurant is at a great location, with amazing views of the lake. Food is amazing which includes appetizers, main course and desert. They have good vegetarian options, if you are looking for that. They also have the "instragram famous Dubai chocolate" - a bit overhyped I think. Kunefe is amazing. Service was on slower side, especially considering we went for a weekday dinner. But rest of my party did say this is unusual for them. Anyways, would definitely recommend it! read more

I travel all over the Midwest for work, so it's refreshing to find an authentic Mediterranean restaurant ... the fact it sat over the Ohio River and provided the most picturesque setting was just the cherry on top! The views were incredible, and I timed my visit just right as the outdoor patio was in full bloom with a variety of exquisite flowers and trees. The service was impeccable, and I was pleasantly surprised by what I felt were very reasonable prices for everything on the menu. I tried the variety platter as an appetizer, and the hummus and baba ganoush were outstanding. Lamb chops were brought to my table next and did not disappoint. I splurged on an espresso martini, which was excellent. You kno If you're traveling through the area, this is a definite must. read more

Incredible food, amazing ambiance and friendly service! The appetizer plate, gyro plate, and Greek salad (added shrimp) were just SO good. There was not a single person at our tables who did not enjoy the food. We got many of their drinks and every single one exceeded our expectation. Their lamb / gyro meat is probably the best lamb I've tried too. In terms of atmosphere, this is a great restaurant to take friends and family to - I have taken my friends and family to this restaurant 2x in the last week, and my husband is taking his colleagues there again for dinner tonight. With multiple different areas and vibes, Marida is 100% our new go-to spot for everything: friends outing, hosting family, and date nights. Icen and Orhan were amazing with the service, and food & drink recommendations. They both were so sweet and helpful. Not sure how there's even a 1 star review on this page. In October, we took our out-of-town guests here for lunch. I've always loved this location, but the new management has improved on the location. We made our reservation online (I recommend this even for lunch). They sat us in a beautiful area outside. Our server was helpful and the service was good. We weren't in a hurry so we ordered our appetizers first, humus and Gozleme (flatbread stuffed with spinach and cheese. Served with tzatziki sauce.) Both appetizers were yummy. For the main course I chose the Grilled Veggie Plate. It was brought to me with rice, which was really good, but the server never asked me if I wanted rice or polenta. I would have chosen polenta to taste theirs. It was a good choice for lunch. Hubby chose the Chicken Gyro Sandwich with the chicken gyro meat and the fixings wrapped in lavash served with fries. He was happy with his sandwich. It was a good meal. We'll be back. read more

I live in Indianapolis and had been eagerly awaiting to try this on my next visit back home to Evansville/Newburgh. There's not many Mediterranean, much less Turkish, places in Indiana so it was great to see this open in the area. The restaurant has multiple levels out outdoor seating terraces overlooking the river. It was especially nice right at sunset. They had a nice selection of appetizers and traditional/classic Turkish meals as well as a few basic meat dishes that wouldn't throw of someone new to Turkish food. The waitstaff was very professional and friendly. I could tell they were still working out a few kinks being open less than a month, but all in all the service was good. I enjoyed the flavors of everything we tried. The interior of the restaurant had these complex water/bubble lighted walls. It looked kind of cool but maybe a smidge overdone or trying to be fancy, but accidentally over the top. Food was reasonably priced. I don't like when places don't have prices on their cocktail menu and that was the case here. It's weird. Definitely will plan to come back and try other dishes! read more

I've been here twice in 2 weeks and the meat is tough. I don't cook lamb a lot but I know beef. They served stew meat quality in a $20 dish. Buy a pressure cooker or an abetter quality meat.
