Pork and cheese Pupusas
Macy N.

This place is pretty good. Anna was extremely nice and gave amazing service. Thank you Anna! The pupusas were fresh and delicious. My only complaint was it took awhile to come out even though there was barely anyone in the stores though, but I understand. The decor is alright but it doesn't bother me. Nice place.

2. Street Tacos Lunch
Blessing B.

We came here during the lunch time and Carissa our waitress made sure we were taken care of. There are plenty of places to park and the prices are on par with other Mexican/Salvadoran restaurants. I ordered the street tacos (chicken) which came with a side of refried beans and Spanish rice. I ordered the horchata drink and for dessert tres leches cake. We had complimentary chips and salsa for the table. I love adding beans, rice and green salsa to my tacos, needless to say I enjoyed them. The horchata tasted powdery, I've had better. The tres leches was delicious and moist a nice way to finish the meal. The atmosphere was inviting and the noise level minimal. If I am ever in the area I would return.

Such an amazing place! Good Tex mex and Salvadoran cuisine. The servers were very nice and the owners as well.

Do you remember when Marty McFly used the time machine to go back to the 80s for some great Mexican food? No? That's because he didn't need to. Cafe Acapulco is nostalgic in both menu & decor. That is in no way a knock. It would appear they learned to something very well & see no reason to change. That's refreshing. On various trips, we have ordered the taco salad, pollo enchiladas de crema, fajita enchiladas, brunch buffet, and a few different appetizers. The shredded chicken that comes in the enchiladas and the chicken nacho apps...it is utterly amazing. It is worth the price of admission. It is moist, flavorful, and tender. Please, try something with the shredded chicken if nothing else! The fajita beef is well-marinated and cooked properly. The queso is light, the salsa delicious, and the frijoles are refreshing. Of special note is the rice. Rarely do you find fluffly rice that is perfectly seasoned - with carrots & lima beans. Okay, that sounds wrong, but it works! The brunch buffet is nice, but not spectacular. What's cool is that it is really the only Mexican breakfast in the area, and it meets expectations. The service is not always consistent. On our last visit, the young man who brought the chips & salsa was downright surly, but that is rare.

Beef street tacos!!

A couple of friends and I decided to have lunch at Cafe A after church. My friend ordered the appetizer combo and it was a hit. Seriously the best thing on the menu, the quesadilla, nachos, flautas and fixings where amazing. I ordered my usual an order of street tacos and a side of tortilla soup. You should try it. If I could give Cafe A more than 5 stars I would. Best Mexican in Arlington!!!!

This place is so good. Their skinny margaritas are the best, and I've really enjoyed everything I've ever eaten here.

I appreciated it having English & Spanish descriptions. There were two of us, two menus they brought, and only one water. Had to ask for the 2nd one after we realized it really wasn't coming. They bring you chips & salsa. That salsa is good but it is spicy! Proceed with caution & ensure beverage readily available. We got a bean & cheese papusa just to try. It was decent. I actually don't remember if it had cheese i'd order again with different filling. I enjoyed my chicken quesadillas. They were stuffed with meat and the side portion of rice and beans was large and good. The cheese to meat ratio wasn't right for a quesadilla - some ate more like a soft taco than quesadilla) but my arteries are probably in a better place with less cheese. The beans could benefit from a tad of flavor. I was supposed to get pico but believe we may have had a communication issue as my Mom asked for no pico (on hers). Not a biggie though. My Mom enjoyed the nachos. Chips are different than what we're used to. We were both disappointed in the consistency, taste & flavor of the guacamole. It was not good, seemed to come from a tube, near revolting. The prices are a little on the high end. We both brought half our meals home so not so bad when divided out that way. Unfortunately I'm not fluent in spanish so there was a minor language barrier but all the staff were smiling, welcoming, and we did well enough! I would like to go back to try more.

The chips are good and the bean dip and salsa are excellent. Today we split chicken and skirt steak fajitas. They were excellent! The biggest problem with steak fajitas is when the meat is tough or chewy, making it difficult to eat without pulling the meat out of the tortilla. The meat today was delicious and tender. Service was fantastic. Our server, Oscar was fast and attentive enough to make sure we were enjoying the meal, not too intrusive. The atmosphere feels more authentic than many larger chains. There are a lot of tables and it is not quiet, but not really noisy either. It was easy to carry on a quiet conversation. Would highly recommend. I have no idea why their Yelp rating isn't higher.
