I was on a road trip with my girlfriend we we decided to stop here for lunch. The food was over priced. It tasted okay, but it wasn't worth what I paid. I had half a pecan sandwich and a coke. My gf had a eggplant sandwich and a fancy pop. Total was over $20. To drop another star on this place is this strip mall that it is located in is full of itself. I actually got dirty looks for pseudo-rich house wives. Sure I was wearing a wrestlemania 22 t-shirt, but I was just trying to have a meal. Not drop elbows on people. read more

You can usually win me over with eggs. Cafe 1505 must have insider information regarding this fact. For starters, they use eggs from Old Plank Farm, who I used for my 2012 CSA. Did I ever mention that those were the best eggs I've ever had? Knowing that they start with a fantastic product wins them points from me already. I tend to order their quiche of the day. These delicious eggs as mixed with roasted vegetables and mushrooms with a side. They are typically generous enough that I can take a small piece home for later. Another great choice is the Roasted Sweet Potato Quesadilla. My friends typically go back specifically for this item and I agree, it is mighty tasty. Cafe 1505 also has excellent catering and delivers to select areas. Their business box lunches are a hit at meetings with both hot and cold options. The staff is friendly and is accommodating. Waits can be longer during prime time lunch and brunch hours, but off times are a breeze for seating. You can also call ahead for pickup and have a picnic if you like. In any case, they make great, fresh food and have a lot of great items to choose from. Other items of note: They are located in the strip mall with Erik of Norway and Laacke and Joys (although they have moved/are moving). It is easiest to enter the at the mall entrance by Erik of Norway and hang a right. You can also enter though the glass "hamster tunnel" and make a left. This is a great gem that draws a cult like community in the North Shore area. Located in the same shopping center as where i get my haircut, I ALWAYS have to stop in here either before or after. They have a great selection of food that is always fresh and delicious. I tend to keep just to the sweets and items they have in the case for the day. They have a great selection of pastries and other prepared dishes that you can eat at one of the high tops or take to go. You can also sit down at one of the several tables to enjoy a great, quick meal. Definitely recommend this place if you are in the area to stop by for a quick treat! read more

This place is totally a Northshore Nancy kind of hang out (mostly older ladies on their way to play golf) but the food (while over priced) is actually quite good. I recommend stopping in and picking it up to go (save some money on the tip). I come here for one thing and it's totally worth the hefty price: The Chicken Cobb Salad Sandwich. It's AH-MAZING. You can get a half sandwich which are pre-made at the deli counter and it's more than enough to fill me up for lunch and it's much cheaper than the whole order. The scotch-roos are quite tasty too! This place is a gem! I haven't found many places like this outside of big cities. The food and coffee were great and the staff was very friendly. There were lots of delicious fresh and healthy options, great salads and sandwiches, and great mix and match options so you didn't have to order more food than you could eat. The only reason this place isn't getting a 5 is that something about the atmosphere a little off. Super duper mediocre. Two of us had hash with eggs. The food arrived barely warm, eggs were gelatinous despite being ordered medium, and food lacked seasoning. They were the best dishes today. Half pound burger was not seasoned and came out a little less than warm. It tasted okay but was not a $15 burger. My dish was a chicken sandwich with barbecue sauce, ancho sauce, and smoked Gouda. Sauces thankfully came on the side because they didn't taste good. Side salads are just lettuce with a very tart vinaigrette that lacks oil and seasoning. Went with my daughter for Sunday brunch. Got a table right away as it was not too busy. Ended up waiting for a waiter for about 10 mins before anyone even asked us anything. Two tables next to us got tended to right away. Once our order got placed took another 20 mins to come out while those around us who had ordered way after us were finishing their meal. Food finally came and mine was the wrong thing. She asked to take it back but i didn't want to wait another 20 mins. Botton line is; the food is just OK. Nothing to write home about but the service is terrible in this place. Twice we've had the same experience. There won't be a third for us. UPDATE: Owner reached out after posting. Seemed to have been an extraordinarily busy day and does not seem to be the norm for this place. I upped the review to three stars just for the personal attention as I saw genuine concern for my experience and the willingness to make it better. Everything has been a hit lately! Recently had their eggplant pita which could easily turn me into a vegetarian. It's baked inside a pita with feta cheese, both my co worker and I thought it was outstanding. Today I had the Honey crisp Arugula & Chevre Salad-LOVE IT! It's perfect mix of sweet (honey crisp apples & candied pecans) with savory goat cheese, red onions, and lemon dressing. Get it while it's still on the menu! Highly recommend their catering as well. I use them on a regular basis and always get compliments on how delicious the food is. Catering shows up on time and always has the correct order. If you order catering on a regular basis you know how rare it can be to have your order show up on time and be correct. So to recap: catering is great, quinoa salad, kale salad, chicken cobb club, eggplant pita, and the new arugula salad are all winners. read more

We unfortunately had terrible service for our first time here. Once she brought us our food she never came back to check on us or refill our water. We ordered mushrooms with our omlette and didn't get that so it was just cheese and bacon. Another server actually brought us condiments as we waited forever for ours to come but she never came. She took even longer to bring us our check so we eventually just got up and asked for our check at the counter. Turns out our waitress didn't ring up the mushrooms even though she repeated our order after we ordered. To top it off, I told the front counter lady that we didn't have great service with our waitress and she didn't even acknowledge me or apologize. I paid and left and we won't be going back there again. The food otherwise was good. No complaints there so it's unfortunate that we had such crappy service. read more

I went for brunch with two friends. The place was busy but not loud. I ate the quiche and it was fine, but not the best I have ever had. I wouldn't get it again but that's more because there are so many other great looking items on the menu (banana bread french toast!). We all shared the strawberry, brie, and honey toast. This was good and tastes exactly as you would imagine it too. I will be going back because I do like the selection of items, the friendliness of the staff, and how quiet it was even though it was busy. read more

Stopped here en route home from the Milwaukee airport. As a vegetarian, I am used to having limited choices, but I had a difficult time deciding what to choose! The cinnamon bun French toast was delicious but I will definitely be back to try the quesadilla and the house made veggie burger. There is patio seating and that is what we asked for, however, after being seated, the wind kicked up and we asked to be re-seated inside. This request was graciously accommodated. Went there today for breakfast and was pretty disappointing. The breakfast menu is ok, but somewhat limited. The real problem was that the food took a long time, and 3 of the 4 dishes were cold when they got to us. Cafe 1505 is the best brunch option in the Northshore area! Waitresses can be hit or miss in friendliness but over all a good choice for food in an area where fast food seems to be the only option. Stopped in for brunch on Sunday morning around 945am. The place isn't that big but there was no wait. We tried the blueberry pancakes, a specialty skillet with sweet potato, kale and other great ingredients along with side of Canadian bacon. We stopped at Cafe 1505 because of generally good feedback from Yelp. The staff was very friendly and attentive. That was much appreciated. The food was okay. I ordered the roast asparagus and brie omelet. The asparagus was not roasted. It appeared steamed or blanched. I chose the greens and the serving was exceptionally small. I'm not sure it justifies making the customer choose between that and toast. My wife ordered scrambled eggs. The eggs were cooked at too a high temperature creating a rubbery effect. Serving of fruit was also exceptionally small as a choice of side. The flavor ideas of the omelets are good on paper, but the execution was weak -- bland. read more

I picked up breakfast for my son and I. I ordered the Big1505 and an Omelet. The omelet was rubbery and the vegetables desired were scarce on the inside. I requested for the other meal that the eggs be scrambled really soft, they, too, were crumbled. The toast, which seem to be a very good wheat bread, was burnt. The order just wasn't pleasing, however, when I called the place and spoke with the manager, Melissa/Michelle (can't remember the name), she was extremely apologetic and accommodating. This is why I have given them the 3 stars. She took full responsibility and compensated us for the less than overwhelming breakfast. I look forward to going back and chalking this up to either a negligent cook or just bad day. We appreciated the willingness to make up for the snafu. Breakfast is pretty good. Lunch not so much. Place was jammed so we ate at the bar area. Server was very loud cross talking behind us with others but never asked how our food was. She brought the wrong item. Set it down. Set my friend's food down. Walked away. Came back and pulled my plate away and walked away without saying much of anything. Returned a few minutes later with the same plate. Different sandwich. Way overpriced for size and quality of food. Chicken salad balsamic was OLD. DRIED OUT. I could barely cut with a knife. Ate it because I was starving and waited to tell server who did not return for 20 minutes to ask how it was. I told her at the end that they should throw it away and she said "oh I'll tell them" but never offered an apology or to make it right. Barely any pecans or grapes. Really poor item. So chewy and over cooked. I wish I'd thrown it away. Asian coleslaw was red cabbage carrots and sesame seeds. Meh. Cranberry turkey sandwich was ok, but child sized. The veggie burger looked ok but my friend just picked at it, I think to be polite since I was treating. She didn't comment, which usually means it's no good. Overall, seriously disappointed and probably won't be back. There are lots of other places to go for less money, better food, service and value (First Watch comes to mind). Really poor experience. Had brunch today with a friend and it was really good! The menu has lots of variety and things to choose from but doesn't over do it with too many items. The atmosphere is casual and enclosed in a small shopping center full of really beautiful and unique boutiques. I haven't shopped here before but I will be back when I have more time! Anyway, the servers were attentive keeping our coffees and water filled and our food tasted great. The prices are a little high but nothing you wouldn't expect from a good sandwich or omlette. First things first -- we've come here only for breakfast and the food is very solid. The banana pancakes are a personal favorite. The omelets are well done. The service is always great and the staff stays around for a long time (so they must treat their employees well). I agree that, at times, it has a bit of that stuffy "country club" feel but we just ignore (and sometimes mock) those folks and simply enjoy our breakfast. We arrived on a Saturday and were greeted by the hostess who walked us over to a very dirty table. We asked that it get wiped off before we sat down. She came back with a spray bottle and started smearing the food all over the table and onto my chair. I asked her politely to actually wipe the food off the table, not into the table. Food for a party of 6 was average. We had to ask for utensils as there were only a setting for 3. We had to ask for refills of water and coffee. The waitress never came back after the food was served. I had to flag her down to get her attention. I wont be back and there are other choices. read more

I've been meaning to go here for a while (what with me living in Mequon's most notable suburb, Brown Deer) and finally made it today for a little pre-movie brunch. The wait was longer than expected (about 30 minutes) and some of the patrons seemed a little pushy and entitled. You know the type. The food was decent, but nothing outstanding. I had a roasted sweet potato quesadilla, which was at least something different than standard deli fare. Though I had to ask for it, the avocado salsa was really quite good - the best part of my meal.
