I went to Café Zupas yesterday around 1:45 pm, and this place completely tanked any chance of me ever coming back. I tried ordering the Pick 2 with two soups. Pretty simple. The menu doesn't say you can't do that anywhere. Not on the board, not in fine print, nowhere. Instead of just making the order, I was told "you can't do that." No explanation. No logic. Nothing. I asked for the manager, and Zana wandered over. She had no clue what the policy even was. She had to stare at the menu board, then ask a coworker, just to come back and tell me no again, still with zero reasoning. Then she hit me with the most ridiculous explanation I've ever heard in a restaurant: it's "implied" that you shouldn't order two soups. Implied? By who? Because it sure wasn't implied to me, and it definitely wasn't written anywhere. Instead of owning the mistake or providing a real answer, she got visibly aggressive the second she was challenged, like I asked her to solve rocket science instead of a lunch order. When I asked for her District Manager to contact me, she took my name and number, but not before throwing out this gem: "Do you go to Panera Bread and do this too?" Yes, actually. And unlike Café Zupas, Panera doesn't whine about it. They encourage it. I left Café Zupas and went straight to Panera for a stress-free lunch. I even kept the receipt so Café Zupas can see how a real company handles customers. Bottom line: the menu is misleading, the manager has no command of the policies, and the attitude was downright unacceptable. If this is how Café Zupas chooses to treat paying customers over something this small, it says everything I need to know. I'll happily spend my money elsewhere.

Stopped in for lunch while running errands. Had the usual choose 2, nuts about berries salad and Ham and Provolone sandwich. Always interested in the deserts and noticed the chocolate chip cookie. Decided to add it to the order. Was not disappointed. The line was decent since it was lunch but it moved quickly. The employees were friendly. If I would have thought about it in advance I would have ordered ahead on the app. Usually the tables and trays are removed right away, but they weren't today. It was good food and what I expect when I come here. The sign says they don't accept tips, but it is an option when you pay. I recommend always tipping.

Service really sucked at this location. Also, $8.00 for this F'ing sandwich, really?!?!

I first visited Tasty Pot with my daughter on July 13, and I loved it so much that I went back…read moreabout a week later. Both visits were just as delicious! The concept is really fun and unique. When you walk in, you scan a QR code at your table to place your order, if you need help they are there to help you, and your meal is brought to your table in a boiling hot pot that continues to cook your food. I ordered the vegetable hot pot with lamb on the side, my daughter got the kimchi dumpling hot pot, and her friend ordered the seafood hot pot. Everything came out steaming hot, fresh, and full of flavor. If you need more broth, they're happy to bring you extra. The atmosphere is calm, and relaxing, making it a great place to enjoy a meal. They also serve complimentary green tea, which was such a nice touch. It reminded me of going to Chinese restaurants as a kid when they would bring hot tea to the table. It brought back wonderful memories. The regular size was more than enough food for me, and the staff were incredibly welcoming, kind, and quick to prepare and serve everything. I definitely recommend Tasty Pot if you're looking for a comforting, flavorful meal and a fun dining experience. I'll definitely be back again!

When we got a table, we ordered using the QR code. It took a bit of time for our food and drinks to come. But the spot was pretty busy. Only saw the server when they brought our drink and our food, and when we ordered additional drinks. This is not like the typically hot pot spots where they bring you the broth and meats/veggies separately to cook yourself. You pick a "soup" premade and it comes to your table in a hot clay pot. It's a bit heavier broth. Definitely not what my taste buds enjoy. However my husband liked it. I don't think I'll dine here again only because I prefer the cook myself experience, simple ingredients, and lighter broth.

My favorite Korean spots in Arizona since there weren't that many Korean spots in Glendale!…read moreHowever, they have some pretty authentic Korean dishes! Parking is pretty small so parking can be a little difficult when it gets busy! Service is decent and they are very friendly but could be more attentive. It is pretty spacious inside with plenty of indoor seating. However, it can get pretty loud when it is busy so it might be hard to hear one another They offer Korean BBQ but it isn't all you can eat, as well as Korean dishes (tofu soup, bulgogi, bibimbap, etc.), and sushi. There is even a lunch special menu Mon-Fri 11-2:30pm and has a good selection of bento boxes! I've gotten their beef teriyaki bento box and it came with rice, salad, 2 piece California rolls, and 2 pc fried gyozas. Pricing is $13-20 The beef teriyaki is pretty tender, flavorful, and not too salty. The salad is underwhelming and didn't have fresh greens. The fried gyozas were decent, nothing special. The California rolls were ok, not bad. I would say it's 7/10. The bibimbap was very fresh and delicious but a little pricey ($18.95). The bulgogi was marinated very well and rice was super crispy inside the hot stone bowl. Seafood tofu soup was pretty good and not too overly salty. It was very flavorful and the tofu was very soft. I would say it's 8/10 Would definitely recommend and return

I have been wanting to try A Touch of European Café for years and I finally had the opportunity…read morerecently - though not soon enough. I now wish I had! On a recent outing, a day trek to visit the historic downtown Glendale I got my wish, so there we went. Not at all unhappy, the complete opposite! As a Foodie and connoisseur of world foods as a whole, especially wholesome, down-to-earth, Eastern European and family traditional, A Touch of European Café filled the bill. We went all out to try as much of their offerings with our first visit as possible - or that our bellies could tolerate. Meeting the lively Malgorzata and good-natured Waldemar Okula (Chef) the owners was a thrill - a pair of the most down to earth and friendly folks I've met in restaurant eating in a long, long time, as well as he the uttermost fantastic cook. We definitely splurged on old world cuisine there. These folks bring to the Valley of the Sun the magnificence of Eastern European, more specifically Polish, Czech and some Russian homey, familial and delicious old country comfort foods. My heritage of Euro decent has long given me an affinity and love for all these foods and the Okula's have made it possible to have the real thing. I started with my all-time fave Borscht. A tradition beet soup with exquisite chicken broth with plenty carrot, celery and potato, in with hearty tomato with an apropos offering of just the right herbs and spices - fantastic! My Wife went for the overall eats which was equally magnificent. For the unfamiliar, or to anyone who desires tasting more than one particular dish, I highly recommend they're sample platter which gives you great tastes to be had including Pierogis, zelná rolka (cabbage roll), a wonderfully hearty and delectable lovecký guláš (Hunter's Stew), and a whole-heartedly hefty Polská klobása (Polish Sausage). All of which I must emphasize were magnificently prepared, homey aromatic and luxuriously flavored. Not to mention filling. While we were at it, we also enjoyed the best Pork Schnitzel we both ever had the pleasure of tasting... anywhere! Tender and juicy meat, while coated with a perfectly tasty and delicate breading. We also enjoyed their incredible cabbage rolls stuffed with finely ground and perfectly seasoned pork and white rice - Wow! I might also mention, every year each summer, they offer Foodie and Cultural tours to their homeland of the Czech Repulic and Poland, sometimes the surrounds. Hotel, food and tours included - we put it on our bucket list! This is a restaurant which has wall-to-wall history, vibe and heritage, owned and operated by a loving and vibrant couple from the old country who not only cook and serve the real thing, but they and their food open the door to another world. Needless to say on our return we're heading for the Guláš (Czech Goulash), more Borscht and their Pierogies. Meanwhile, we'll enjoy both the leftovers and extra meals we took home with us! As you may have noticed, for me this was an exciting review to put together because Mr. and Mrs. Okula gave us a piece of their heritage, a taste of their magnificent food, their love, and A Touch of European!
