Cafè de La Flor is an infallible spot for good food, decadent desserts, and outstanding service. My mom and I came here for lunch and ordered passionfruit-lemonade to start off, which was refreshing and tasty. She had the flautas dish (came with red rice and refried beans) and I had the panini de pechuga de pollo (grilled chicken breast) with french fries. Both dishes were delicious and came with generous portions. I liked how my panini sandwich came with pickled jalapeños. The dessert list is ample, however, we always go for the cheesecakes since they are what the cafè is well-known for. This time, there wasn't many to choose from but I am happy they still had my favorite available - the guava cheesecake. On other occassions, they'd have a more ample selection of cheesecake flavors to choose from, like oreo, caramel, or other fruit flavors. Lastly, want to give a shout out to our server Juan Carlos. I have been to the Otay location twice !!! I have really enjoyed their service and of course the food too !!! Since I go early in the morning I sit outside by a heat lamp to keep warm. The portions are very generous especially the omelettes !! I ordered the omelette with chilaquiles and was not able to finish so maybe next time I will share a plate. Tucked away on a busy corner of Tijuana. This place is a slightly hidden jewel. Free pan dulce when you get to your table. The food is great and they have a lot of choices for breakfast. I love chilaquiles and am used to red or green salsa as the only choices. But to my surprise they had a variety of different types of chilaquiles even some with birria, poblano cream or mole. This is my friend's mom favorite place.... The first one we went to had a crazy line so we went to the other one near the Otay border crossing. That one had a crazy line as well. The lady said it was a 45 minute wait, it was a more like 60-70 minutes.... Finally got inside and order. The coffee was amazing. The food was fresh and clean tasting. Absolutely love this adorned and fairly sized café. My friend introduced us here. They have menus both in English and Spanish. The food is delicious and extremely inexpensive. You can tell how much effort they put into making the food and presentation. The male servers who work here are gentle, pays a lot of attention to you, and they tend to be older (so be patient with them). In the past, I've ordered their shrimp burrito, sun dried pasta, arrachera steak quesadillas, Los Gobernadores (almost like shrimp tacos but tastier), and salmon torta. In terms of flavors, they don't over do it like the sauce or saltiness. Food is delicious and definitely "hits the spot". I love their torta (the pasta comes with the same torta bread but Panini style). Oh, the dessert! It is so huge, and cheaper than Cheesecake Factory. The cheesecakes here is not as creamy as the one in the US. It's lighter, bigger, I like the addition of fruits in the cakes, and it's not meant for one person. I really like their hot chocolate with a shot of espresso. It's refreshing and not sweet at all, with bold chocolate flavors & a hint of a coffee aftertaste. read more

Ive tried pineapple spinach, it was good, very sweet. Service is always very good, all staff is very attentive. When we're and feel like having breakfast out we go here.
