It…read morewas the perfect amount of scary (really good jump scares, creepy characters, but nothing too aggressive or violent). The staging in the entrance area was really good! Lots of little photo opportunities and a bar, which was thoroughly decorated and was playing classic horror movies! Although the wait to get in was a little longer than expected, the actual experience itself was fun! It was kind of a maze, but nothing too challenging. The staging in each room was really good--a lot better than expected! There were jump scares throughout and a cute photo opportunity at the very end. My biggest gripe with this experience is that it was a little short, especially compared to how long we had to wait to get in.

My tickets were for 8, but I didn't get to go in until 9 because the line was slow. We did get to see two showings of an aerialist in line, which did help make it a bit more bearable. However, you figure out that the line is so slow because they do a good job of keeping each group small and spaced out, allowing you to enjoy the haunted house at your own pace. The house was actually a well decorated maze, so it was a puzzle trying to figure out where to go. The actors cannot touch you, but there was a good amount of jump scares. We ended up taking 20-25 minutes to go through the maze. There were also a couple photo opportunities inside. We exited into a gift shop and went to the bar which had a drag show (i think this was a special and isn't a regular occurrence, so it was a nice surprise). i also love that there were lots of photo ops outside. I didn't pay for my tickets and $40 sounds a little steep but it was fun, and I'm seeing some discounts available for specific dates and MEA weekend, so I would say it's worth it if you find a discount day!

The parking here can be validated or you can park in the free ramp and walk in. This place feels upscale but approachable. The seating was comfortable. And the lighting gave off the perfect ambiance for a date! The service here was outstanding! Our water glasses were never less than half. I didn't feel like he was hovering but he was also very personable! The smoked wings are a MUST! Some of the best wings we have had in a LONG TIME! They actually had a nice smoky taste! The popovers were light and the whipped honey butter was soooo good! The steak was cooked to a perfect medium and tasted amazing! The fish and chips were light and crispy! The fries are fresh and made in-house! We couldn't decide on one dessert so we got the creme brulee and affogato. Both were spectacular!! If you haven't been yet, this is an absolute must!!

My NA drink had house grenadine that I was skeptical of in theory, but I trusted our server who promised it was not the sickeningly sweet stuff I was imagining. I am glad I trusted him- combining the grenadine with pineapple and lime too made it amazing. The fries were under-salted but the drinks, service, and atmosphere made up for it.

The inside of the bar is pretty small and felt a bit cramped, especially with how busy it was on a Sunday. They do have a back patio that is fairly large, which I appreciated, but during the day it did not feel very inviting. Without lighting or much going on, it came off a bit plain. As for drinks, I tried a non alcoholic half and half with lemonade and iced tea, which I actually really liked. I also had a mojito style cocktail that was not my favorite and tasted a bit too strong for me. The overall vibe just was not really my thing, but I could see it being more fun at night or with a bigger group.

This is specific to the Bloomington (Southtown Drive) location…read more I wanted to give it five stars.....BUT.... First the positive. The staff is just amazing. I could write an entire review naming all the individual security, door people, servers, managers, and bartenders that are all top notch but it's basically everyone! I mean they do a tough job but always professional and with a smile and even when they are slammed busy the servers and bartenders and security are still very polite and professional. On weekends the music / DJ can be hit or miss. I've been there with some amazingly great DJ's playing and dance floor packed and other nights....well not so much. The food and appetizers there are really good. In six plus years of me going there I've heard ONE person a single time make one semi-negative comment about their food. It was that he thought his hamburger was a little greasy. He still ate the entire meal, he just said that after. Every other person I've seen for more than half a decade eating there has been happy or thrilled with their meal or appetizer! The pool, darts, video games area gets busy and good crowd. The pool and dart machines are usually in good shape and busy. As far as the negative, the drink prices are on the high side ($7 for a domestic bottled beer, and a Vodka drink is $12 or more). I know several people who quit going there because drinks got too expensive. The second issue, is the carpet in the pool and dart area that is worn down to the padding and is sticky to walk on which is not an attractive quality for a food service establishment. If I had the owners/GM's ear I'd say you get a high five and pat on the pack for hiring great staff all around, doing a wonderful job on the food. I'd encourage you to lower drink prices and put in some new carpet in the gaming area.
