Mexican sausage and egg breakfast burrito.
    Jonny S.

This might be the best of all the Cactus Taqueria locations. It's cozy and the food was better than other Cactus locations I've tried: Studio City, Sherman Oaks, and Hollywood. The service was great and the breakfast burrito was huge and delicious. Much bigger than the other locations. It was fresh, made to order and was the perfect temperature inside the burrito. So glad it's across the street from my dentist!

Solid place! Here's the breakdown: Pros: Great food, great customer service, and a clean ambiance! So happy to welcome this new Cactus Taqueria location to Encino! Now for the food ordered: bean, cheese, rice burrito wet with green and red sauce was soooo goood! Note: the red sauce does have a little kick, which I happen to enjoy, but please be prepared. The cheese enchilada plate was equally as good and my daughter also enjoyed her cheese quesadilla. Verdict on their customer service: The lady cashier was very nice and helpful in making a choice. I appreciated her input as I navigated the spice level in various items offered on the menu. If you live in Encino, we all know how hard it is to find solid fast Mexican food but this place is def worth a try.

Carne asada tacos with no onion and no cilantro, even though I would really like there to be onion and cilantro on them. What a shame.

Just ordered tacos from here through Postmates and they look like they would've been pretty good but they didn't give me any onion or cilantro, which is crazy to not put that on someone's tacos, especially since I did not ask for them to remove it

Tacos are fantastic! This is the whole in the hole in the wall that I've been searching for for the past several years. It's GOLD! Three tables inside and a little counter sitting area. The chicken, the Carne Asada, and the beef stew are fantastic. Great quality meat, very well seasoned, looks and smells great. The rice was perfect consistency, not clumpy or mushy, loose grains. The beans were exactly how you would expect them to be. The corn tortillas are locally sourced and are very delicious; some of the best I've ever had. The salsa is home made. I'm not sure what more you can ask for... The staff is friendly and the place has lots of regulars. An elderly gentleman was picking up his order, the staff member gave him his order and then walked around the counter to open the door for him, just to make things a little easier. I trashed after myself and got the lid of the trashcan dirty. As I was walking out the staff member got a rag ready to go and clean it up. There wasn't even two minutes between the two actions. The place is very clean and clearly the staff care.

Great food!!! Very flavor full you can tell they make the sauce& everything from scratch. Definitely a place to always come when you are in the area. I ordered an Asada wet burrito green and red sauce. Their salsa is also Great!!! Good spice and flavor. Portion of food is big. You can't complain.

Bean and cheese burrito way to much cheese and fell apart in two seconds

How my bean and cheese burrito looked after I opened it up. And that spill over was coming from all sides. The amount of cheese is way way too much.

    Carne asada taco.

The food was amazing and doesn't compare to other restaurants. They season their carne asada super well and it gives it a deep rich flavor. The staff were also very friendly and answered all my questions about the different plates. The dining area was small but very clean and quaint.

From the moment your plate hits the table, you can tell you're in for something special. The burrito is massive, perfectly wrapped, and completely smothered in a rich, flavorful sauce that strikes that ideal balance between bold and comforting. Every bite is loaded with well-seasoned meat, fresh ingredients, and just the right amount of cheese melted over the top. What really sets Las Fuentes apart is the depth of flavor. The sauce isn't just an afterthought--it's the star, tying everything together with a savory, slightly tangy kick that keeps you coming back for more. The rice and beans on the side are just as impressive, clearly made with care and not just filler on the plate. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the overall experience feels authentic and satisfying. Whether you're a wet burrito lover or trying one for the first time, this spot will raise your standards. Las Fuentes isn't just good--it's the kind of place you start craving the second you leave. The inside has a great Spanish decor.

The service and vibe were also amazing. I was so disappointed in the food and service! I ordered a tostada (besides my better judgement of ordering what I typically do, which is a gringo style wet burrito). I specifically asked the cashier if it came in the fried shell bowl. She said yes and that I can choose between flour or corn. I asked if the size or look were different, and she said no, so I ordered corn. It came out as a plate of just unseasoned mess. The carnitas were extremely dry and had no flavor, despite drowning it in whatever sauces were available. My husband's plate is what he normally gets too, carne asada plate. Dry and no flavor. A nearby table received their order and they also ordered a tostada that came with the shell. I asked the waitress (who was the same lady to took our order) what they ordered and she said tostada. When I told them mine came out the way it did, she said that was my fault for ordering corn. I felt that it was misleading despite me asking questions. She said she will bring out a flour tostada. I was fine up until this point because it was a simple mistake on both our ends. However, another waitress who brought out the flour tostada started speaking to me in Spanish, then repeated in English "this is flour, this is corn (while pointing at my plate)" in the most condescending manner. I will never go back here and I understand why the ratings have gone down significantly. They opened another location in Chatsworth, with worse ratings and I can confidently say I will never go back nor recommend it to anyone!

Overall, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu, it's all so tasty and affordable for the amount of food they serve. Something I find odd is how big and chunky their pico de gallo is but honestly I don't mind it lol Tip: if you don't mind sitting outside, do that. The food is still delicious (I love their beans and bean dip, and my bf really likes their rice). Just not in love with these prices. To get the most value, if you order one of the burritos, you can easily split it into two meals because they're pretty big. Got the chicken fajita burrito and had half for lunch yesterday and today. When I come here, I usually order the cheese enchiladas. They're the best I've ever had. Perfect flavor, cheesiness, and consistency (thickness/density). This time around, I decided to try out something different, the Carne Asada plate. It was fantastic. Usually, restaurants use cheaper cuts of meat like skirt or flank steak for their carne asada. Maybe I'm losing my mind, but the carne asada I had looked and tasted a lot like ribeye steak, which happens to be my favorite cut of beef. For my drink, I had the horchata like I normally do. The horchata here is something special. It's thicker and creamier than your average horchata and packs a cinnamon punch. The only knock on this place is the parking situation. There's limited parking relative to the size of the establishment. You may have to find street parking around the park nearby. But don't let something like that discourage you from checking this place out. This place is worth it. I drive up to the Valley from the South Bay just to visit this restaurant.
