I Purchased some pebble tile for my shower floor. Didn't amount to more than $500 or so. I was never told that I could not return it and my tile installer had Covid and was sick for quite some time, maybe a month or so. When we opened the boxes, we realized that the tile would not work at all with my shower floor. When I tried to return such a small amount, the response was it was a special order. It wasn't more than 60 days, but regardless why would it not matter if it was 30 days but really mattered if it was 60 days. My tile installer assured me that Cactus Tile would accept the return. I would never purchase from a company who is more concerned with $$$ than customer satisfaction, especially for such a small order. Buyer beware. Other companies don't have this issue. read more

I will say that you can save yourself a ton of grief and drive over to AZ Tile. They will get you better product in far less time. AZ Tile is also substantially less expensive and will not gouge you for "inbound delivery fees". In addition, AZ tile has far more convenient material pickup locations. FYI, the $180/ sq ft tile we purchased from Cactus is Chinese. They ain't advertising that fact! I would also caution you if they recommend a tile installer. We took their advice and ended up ripping out a significantly substandard partial shower installation. A huge waste of money. Believe me, I wouldn't tear out a shower with the time and money invested unless it was awful. When my wife asked Cactus to replace the 20 wasted tiles as a result of their recommendation, they said please feel free to jump off a tall bridge. Life is difficult enough without this type of aggravation!! Go to AZ Tile instead and save yourself the grief read more

Showed up in person and receptionist took us to the slab area. They had 2-3 salespeople who occasionally came out but did not help. One salesperson offered to check something on the computer but then assigned it to the receptionist who had others waiting. Scottsdale showroom personnel are much friendlier and helpful. read more

As a designer, I spend everyday all day in showrooms all over the valley. If I had to be honest, a vast majority of the time I deal with a ton of caddy sales staff who manipulate numbers and are not helpful but NOT A CACTUS! Maurna at 50th st and Ryan at Scottsdale location is hands down some of the best salesman I have worked with across the board In the entire valley. Trust me it's all I work with 80 hours a week. True hidden gems. The service is consistently stellar. I planning an entire luxury home with Cactus because I of the two of them. I don't want to work with anyone else period. If there had to be a con here I would say that I struggle with the service I have experienced with Mark. But kudos cactus in finding these gems and having a fab product line read more

(I went to the North Scottsdale location.) The gentleman who helped me showed me all the split-stone options they carried. They didn't have the exact color option I wanted, but he was so helpful that he gave me a list of every stone store in town to check out. He was by far the kindest most helpful person I came across today (and I visited 7 different showrooms!!) Cactus Stone has beautiful tile options and I'll definitely be back because of the great customer service when I redo my bathroom in the future. Beautiful store with so many different tile choices. Some are works of art. We came in on a Tuesday, and were helped immediately. We were directed to choices we never would have made on our own, which helped. They explained how to care for different types of fabrications. An appointment would be helpful if you're concerned about attentiveness. We were even able to take home some samples. read more

Right now I'd give no stars if I could. While they're wonderful when you buy, they're totally non-responsive for a problem. We installed Pental quartz 2 years ago--15 year guarantee--and I believe it's developed cloudiness. I've called 4x in the last month just to have someone look at it. So far I can't even get a call returned! SO frustrating. Assume I'll need to call Pental headquarters but they'll probably refer me to Cactus Stone. Aargh! UPDATE: thanks to Yelp, their terrific sales manager Scott reached out and with help from their talented troubleshooter Zachary, our issue is moving forward. I had really bad experience with Cactus tile. They are not friendly and do not try to help you at all. They are rude and unhelpful.

Purchased a granite slab for our master bath remodel. Nice looking piece. Our fabricator said this piece was brittle and impossible to make a nice looking edge as it had some magma material in it making it flake. We looked at it and it looked horrible. We asked Cactus to give our fabricator some partial credit back for this piece as he is going to have to eat the cost since we paid him and he paid Cactus. They did not help the fabricator and only would give some partial credit if we bought another piece from them. They claimed they told us that the piece would require some special handling and only plain edges would work on it. Neither my wife nor I recall that being said and we always pay attention to things like that as this is not our first rodeo remodeling homes. Not honest, no integrity. We are just getting started in our remodel as we have other bathrooms and a big kitchen to do. No chance of ever using this company again. We will steer clear. read more

I am a Kitchen and Bath Designer in Prescott Arizona. I recently purchased over 200 ft.² of an oversize subway tile sold by Cactus Stone and Tile. During the install time of this extremely large shower that is over 14 feet long and 11 feet tall, my tile installer pointed out that each tile had glue on it that had been used as a packing protection rather than the paper or foam pads typically placed between each tile in the shipping boxes. At that point I called my local sales person who in turn contacted their rep at Cactus Stone and Tile asking how to best remove this glue. It did not come off very easily but it was suggested that at the point we were prepping to grout the glue should come off. My tile installer put one of his employees on scraping the glue off the tiles prior to grouting and after several hours he told me they had not budgeted the time needed to get this glue off. The hope was that it would scrape off at the point the shower was being grouted. Sadly it did not come off. I then brought someone in to clean the shower and scrape off the glue. I myself spent almost 2 hours on a section approximately 5' x 5'. The cleaning team spent an additional 11 hours trying to get this shower glue free . Again I contacted my sales person who contacted Cactus Stone and Tile on my behalf. I received a phone call from one of their sales people who said "there wasn't a problem in their opinion" and basically went on to tell me "that they deny all claims for any kind of compensation the first time around and that they had looked at samples of the same tile and the glue had just come off without an issue. Obviously the problem was mine. And if they paid every time there was a problem they wouldn't make any money." I was asking for compensation for the additional time spent cleaning the shower and a small amount of my time for having tried to problem solve this annoying issue. Which came to a total of $425. I did not in anyway feel like I was trying to take advantage of them, I was just trying to recoup the additional expenses I incurred from having used a tile purchased from them that had glue on it that was incredibly time consuming to remove. After multiple email exchanges they offered me $175.00 (what they said was half ) so not only was the offer insulting but they can't even do math. This is an industry that is all about customer service. Every day I am extending customer services to my clients and I would think a high-end tile store like Cactus would go out of their way to resolve issues. I will never willingly use their tile again nor will I ever encourage any of my clients to go into the store. I have never left a bad review for anyone before, but my distaste for how this situation has been (not) handled left me no choice. Don't let their pretty show room fool you. If you end up with a problem, don't hold your breath that someone is going to help you. And by the way I haven't seen any money at all. read more

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. We went in talked with the receptionist she advised a rep would be over to talk to us shortly. 30 minutes passed, there was two reps helping other customers and combined they passed by us at least a dozen times. Neither one acknowledged we were there, not even looking our direction. One rep finished up with her customer right in front of us, turned and walked away, again not even looking our direction. Finally asked the receptionist for samples and to get someone to show us the slab. She sent us into the slab room told us to go all the way to the right and someone would meet us there. 15 more minutes nobody showed up. Needless to say we left. If they don't want my money fine by me I will take it else where. read more

I visited this store to review a slab remnant I saw on their website. Workers were able to pull the piece within minutes to view. Their selection of full slabs is amazing. Best of all, they gave me the price and sold it to me directly rather than requiring me to order it through a contractor. They also provided a nice list of stonecutters to bid my job. read more

We will NEVER buy product from Cactus Stone and Tile in Phoenix/Scottsdale Arizona again! It is unfortunate, but this company will not work with customers asking to return product outside their 30 day return policy period (even with their ridiculous 25% restocking fee). Here's the background. We purchased a brand new tile for our kitchen backsplash from Cactus Stone and Tile and actually installed the majority of the tile in our home. Unfortunately, once we installed the tile it did not look as good as we expected with our new counter tops. Since we were not happy with the backsplash, we actually removed it (a very expensive and painful process), but still had one box of unused tile left over in the original packaging. We missed Cactus Stone and Tile's 30 day return window (and the associated 25% restocking fee penalty) because the counter top installation company made an error with our counter top measurement and consequently had to re-cut a section of our counter top and thus pushed us beyond 30 days and the Cactus Stone and Tile return period. We contacted Cactus Stone and Tile and spoke with Denny and explained our situation. She reinstated their company return policy, but did offer to speak with the sales manager regarding our case to see if there would be any flexibility with our return. She promised to call us back within 24 hours with a decision. After our waiting 24 hours without a returned call, we called Denny back and spoke with her again to see what the outcome was with our case. Denny stated that they decided to "stick to their guns" and that many customers respect them for adhering to this policy. As you all know doing a renovation is already painful enough - having a retailer like Cactus Stone & Tile put forth no flexibility with their return policy is wrong, unfriendly and borders on a bully mentality. How sad that this company wont take back left over product which is in perfect shape when they can easily resell the product to other customers. We even agreed to pay their absurd 25% restocking fee if they would make an exception and allow us to make this return and they said NO. Although it is only one box of tile and not even worth that much money, it is just the principle that Cactus Stone and Tile is NOT flexible at all with their return policy and trying to accommodate their customers needs. Again, we will never use Cactus Stone and Tile again and would advise you to be 100% certain with your purchase before buying or you too will be stuck with product you can't use if you try to return beyond 30 days. read more
