Northman Mable and Granite is nothing less than phenomenal! Shelley goes above and beyond to make sure my clients are satisfied and simply delighted. If a client loves a particular countertop but it's out of their price range, she will suggest other option that get the same look but at an affordable price. If there is a remnant piece that works, she lets us know so that the client doesn't have to pay for the full slab. If my client wants a certain color but doesn't know what material they want, she will do the work to find the best options for the budget and needs. She is always quick with her quotes, usually within 24 hours if not the same day... and the quote format is the best you've ever seen. It includes everything they are charging for, an exact layout and template, and how the cuts will be laid out on the slab. I was very pleased with Northman for my granite countertop fabrication. The estimator Jamison was very helpful, even allowing my new sink to be delivered to their shop so the cut out would be perfect, and then installing it during delivery day. The templates were taken and then I met with Dan the machine operator (on site at Northman) to determine the best way to apply the templates to the slab for cutout, to maximize the artistic flow of the exotic Carnival granite patterns. Dan and Jamison made sure that the orientation of the surfaces kept my favorite parts of the slab pattern in the most prominent positions in my kitchen. The seams of the angled cuts in the pattern were matched artistically as well by Dan, even considering the complex patterning of the Carnival granite we used. The installation was on time, and no pieces were broken even though we had 2 pieces that were 10 feet long installed in one room. read more

I am an antique dealer, as I was delivering an antique wash stand to a client the marble back splash cracked. We were sick to our stomachs, we had just broke a piece of marble that had survived 130 years! We assured the client that we would do everything possible to get this repaired. I called Northman Marble & Granite and spoke with Shelley, I explained what happened and sent her a picture of the piece. Shelley said that she thought her guys could fix it if we brought it to their shop. I dropped it off and within a week Shelley texted me that it was done. I picked it up today and WOW! I can't say enough great stuff about my experience with Northman. A lot of people say it's a nightmare to under go a home improvement project and most times it is.
