We got there right before 7:00 when they opened, and our server opened the door with a smiling and friendly face. She was wonderful the entire time, chatting with us and making sure our coffee cups were full! It was super cute inside, and she told how they close for 6 weeks every year while they add something new, so there's a lot of loving care put into this place! Our food was just as great - the hubby loved his AM burrito, and I enjoyed my waffles with eggs any way and a choice of protein. I got the sausage patties, which were flavorful and delicious! My only suggestion is - it would been so nice if they had opened at 6:00, we just wanted to get on the road, but I feel all the places in Moab really don't open until 7:00. read more

Went for breakfast while visiting family in Moab and it was delicious! I had the CHX Benny which included a biscuit, a fried and well seasoned chicken breast, poached egg (it comes with a hard fried egg but I asked them to swap it out), and a smooth velvety Hollendaise sauce. 2 bennys and hash browns - I could only eat one but it didn't go to waste! In Moab for a very short time, we stumbled upon Canyon Steak and Waffle after we found that the diner nearby was closed on Sundays. And thank goodness because we absolutely loved this place! I ordered the Western-ish Omelet which was 3 eggs with peppers, onions, cheese and your choice of bacon, sausage, ham plus a side of hash browns and toast. I got mine with bacon with wheat toast and added a side of Chicken Fried Steak. BTW - THIS is the move. The Omelet was fluffy and flavorful and perfectly cooked, but ya girl needs more meat in her breakfast and I have a soft spot for a good Chicken Friend Steak. This was definitely a good one. Tender and tasty with the perfect country gravy on top. SO GOOD! The rest of the table got in on their Chicken and Waffles and French Toast Breakfast and they all loved their plates. This place is so good that I came two days in a row for the breakfast. I got the Western-ish omelette with hashbrowns a side of the "baby jacks" aka mini pancakes. You get a ton of food for $15 and it is all delicious. I could not finish my food either day. The omelette is so yummy with fresh high quality ingredients. The clear winner are the baby jacks. I am not even a huge pancake fan, but these things are like crack. They are so good and addicting! The environment is clean and sleek with minimalist decor. It is very welcoming and comfortable. The service was top notch and super friendly, very accomodating. They have great retail items for sale, but unfortunately they were low on sizes so I could not grab a cute t-shirt. Wonderful place! My wife and I went for lunch after a couple we met recommended Cactus Jacks. We went around 12:30 and were promptly seated. The server was very pleasant and took our orders. We had a the Big Ole Cinnamon Roll, Fry Bread, Veggie Omelette and Western Omelette. The Cinnamon Roll was enormous and delicious. The Fry Bread was crisp on the outside and moist on the inside.
