So freakin delicious! Thick bacon, fluffy moist biscuits, amazing hash browns. They brought me more cooked bacon when I asked (I like mine crispy) which was so nice. They underestimated the wait. Upon inquiry, our hotel recommended Cactus Jacks for breakfast and it was excellent! Being a Sunday, she suggested we show up early to avoid the wait. Overall disappointed with my experience at Cactus Jacks. The good: The restaurant is clean and welcoming. THE REST: Service: We walked in to a quiet restaurant. The host was friendly and we were seated promptly. Our server took 10 minutes to arrive and took food and drink orders at once. Drinks came out quick. Food: We waited about 20 minutes for food, which would be okay if there was a reason. Instead all of our food was lukewarm. My chicken was covered in a rubbery tough coating. The waffle was cold and hard. The butter garnish didn't even melt because the waffle was cold. I didn't eat the waffle. They also served a scant amount of corn syrup with the waffles. The potatoes on the plates were undercooked and pale. The biscuits are gravy: biscuit was dry and tough and the gravy was flavorless (salt and pepper might be the only "seasoning".) The menu has potential, but the kitchen staff, timing, and recipes clearly need adjustments. If bland, salty, and cold food are your thing eat here! Sadly, I wouldn't recommend this place. Future visits to Moab will be spent exploring other restaurants. read more

We had a great breakfast each morning at Cactus Jacks Moab over a long weekend. Three mornings, three different waitresses, fast enough service, even with a longer wait on a packed Sunday morning. We usually try not to eat at the same restaurant twice when we're in a new town, but we made an exception for Cactus Jacks! No need to look anywhere else for breakfast. This place is dynamite! Out of all the meals we had in Moab during our several days there, this was one of the best. Service from the hostess to the table side waitress was prompt & quite friendly. The restaurant has open flooring and is not cluttered, and seating is comfy. The food we ordered, chicken, biscuits, with eggs and associative sides was honestly some of the best chicken (outside of home cooking) that I've ever had. We couldn't decide where to go to breakfast before we headed out of Moab, and decided to make it simple and just go to the place attached to our hotel - what a great choice it was! We got there right before 7:00 when they opened, and our server opened the door with a smiling and friendly face. She was wonderful the entire time, chatting with us and making sure our coffee cups were full! It was super cute inside, and she told how they close for 6 weeks every year while they add something new, so there's a lot of loving care put into this place! Our food was just as great - the hubby loved his AM burrito, and I enjoyed my waffles with eggs any way and a choice of protein. I got the sausage patties, which were flavorful and delicious!
