Omg this is a hidden treasure!!! First of all the decor is stunning!!! All white tables and chairs with black high ceilings! Very cozy and comfortable!!! Service was ON POINT!!! A lot of these upscale restaurants have these waiters in ties and "too formal" but this restaurant was very formal and I felt like I was eating at nonnas house!!! Food was beyond delicious! Risotto with black truffle was to die for and the lamb chops that my 10 year old was as if we were at a Michelin star restaurant! Everything was PERFECT! Will DEFINITELY go here again! Getting to this restaurant was a journey itself. As soon as you walk in you feel a cozy and warm atmosphere during nighttime and you can clearly tell it is family owned. I personally decided to start with the Carpaccio Di Manzo, it was was the perfect cut and refreshingly thinned. The arugula was fresh and strong, not like the processed one you can get at any restaurant. The caper bush was a necessary touch to tone down the sauce added and add the perfect acidity touch. I strongly recommend to get this dish as a light starter to share with the group. For my entrée I requested the Cacio E Pepe with Tartufo Nero, this was everything I expected it to be. I loved the dish and the Tartufo Nero was fresh and the right touch, keep in mind if you decide to get the Tartufo Nero it will be about 13 dollars more which are worth it. Although, I did love the dish I feel like for a place called Cacio E Pepe you would expect the best Cacio E Pepe you have had in the US. It was not the best I've had, but still pretty good for Miami Cacio e Pepe. The service was good, but at a point one of people who assisted us said they would give us a lemonade but instead we got two lemons. We received the food extra fast and they kept the bread coming alongside the spreading they provide you with. I only give it a 4 out of ten because of that lemonade. read more

The ambiance was nice and so was the bread and butter they gave. I just didn't enjoy my entree. I took a chance and cheated on my fav Italian restaurant because i was already in the area and unfortunately left disappointed. I ordered the short rib ravioli and honestly didn't like it. It's made with what seems to be a unseasoned yet very cheesy bechamel sauce. I tried to add a little salt but to no avail. The short rib itself was also not flavorful and I was expecting it to be the star of the show and I didn't get that. Italians are mostly known for their robust flavors so I was so surprised that I didn't receive that here. I would try again but I can't risk being disappointed again. Hopefully they see this review and try something different as far as prep goes as it plays a big roll in customer retention. Try a from scratch mushroom sauce or even a truffle sauce to kick it up a notch and also to have the price meet the quality. read more

My wife and I live in North Miami Beach and have explored plenty of restaurants for years. We've seen places come and go and enjoy helping local businesses. We decided to give Cacio e Pepe a try after hearing good things from friends and family and reading numerous reviews. Decided to have an early Sunday dinner here and sat outside for two at 5pm. We were sat down promptly as there were only two other tables in the restaurant. 5 minutes later we were finally brought water. After skimming through the drink and food menu we waited another 7 minutes before we decided to take our business elsewhere. After being in the service industry for 10+ years and holding every position from host to regional manager in high volume nightclubs to fine dining these types of reviews are necessary for a business to hopefully grow. Waiting 12 minutes to NOT be greeted by a server is unacceptable especially with an empty establishment. What should have been a delightful first experience based on good word of mouth turned into a heartfelt experience that led us to unfortunately take our business elsewhere. read more

What a shame that great food gets destroyed by plants mosquito plague. As soon as we arrived to stay in the patio, small white bug invisible quick impression was all over. I requested to turn fan on , owner gave me the wrong look and I turned it on myself. Then I get an empty can to spray, we have to eat as fast as possible to avoid bites now our bodies all full of mosquito bites. If I had the time I'll call for pest control and shut this down until it gets control, what if someone with allergies get this bite. It won't be a fun for this place. For the prices, area and clientele should be taking care of the place and have a better pest control. Did the owner ask how are we after photos posted by my wife ? Don't care right. read more

Food was great. I love a good cheese wheel and they definitely had a good one. I wish there were more options for appetizers but we were happy with the bread provided. The location is a little deceiving, we had to really look for the restaurant given the area it was in. Overall it was a good experience. Enjoyed a couple bottles of Prosecco and three, appetizers: Antipasto Misto, Fritto Di Calamari and Burrata E Pimodoro. All were quite delicious, fresh and authentic. We should have stopped eating but we couldn't stop...Tried Frutti de Mare, Veal and pasta rolled in a wheel of Parmesan!!! Fantastic! They're about to introduce Brunch and I feel that beyond Antonio, they will need a team of waitstaff that is well trained and familiar with the menu, as Antonio. So where do we start ! My wife made reservations in the morning for 6 people and spoke to Manuel and confirmed 7 PM reservations, he even read back the name and the phone number ! We show up and there's no Rez under our name ! We explain to the manager Atilio (however you spell it) that his people took the Rez and he Says, "well it's not here, so we can not accommodate you, Manuel is new and he's not here" and he walked away ! Wait it gets better ! This exact thing happened a month prior but we managed to somehow get in and brush it off at the time. This restaurant has a very romantic and minimalist atmosphere which is perfect for a date. The service is super friendly and authentic Italian. The problem I had was that I choose to eat an octopus carpaccio which didn't taste like anything and the fish didn't seem fresh. My companion ordered the Cacio e Pepe with truffle and this was so good. They mix the paste inside of a wheel of parmesan cheese. So my biggest advice is to stick to pasta when you go to this restaurant. read more

Caesar salad was great--one of the best I've had. We had a late reservation and I think the chef wanted to leave because pastas came out before we finished the salad and looked and tasted like they had been microwaved--fettuccine was all clumped together and the cheese sauce on the gnocchi had a congealed skin on top. The signature cacio e pepe dish is a spectacle and very tasty, as was the linguini with clams. For desert, the apple pie (more like a apple turnover) is a must-gave. Very fresh and obviously made in house. I was a bit suspicious of "apple pie" at an italian restaurant but it delivered. One suggestion, the listings on the menu need descriptions. Only having the name of the dish is not enough. With a little more confidence from the menu I would have been more adventurous in my selection. Made a dinner reservation for Valentine's Day and upon arrival I arrived to a completely empty restaurant minus one party and was told that they did not have any reservation down for us and told us there were no tables available, meanwhile the restaurant was vacant. We had a reservation for 4 people and asked if they could sit us inside, and despite every table being empty except a two top they gave us a hard time. Sit sat us inside and our waiter was wonderful! Cacio e Pepe is a great addition to this neighborhood and the area! With such limited options in Aventura, Sunny Isles, Bal Harbour/Bay Harbor, North Miami and even Hollywood, this is a great option without having to travel too far. The space is lovely, warm and inviting. The crowd is a mixed bag of good looking and sophisticated locals and tourists, young and old! The staff is fun and friendly and professional. The food is nice and tasty with a good variety of starters and entree's that will satisfy those craving delicious apps, pastas and mains! Good enough food but not very tasty for the price. There are cheaper, better restaurants out there with fitting prices. The Cacio e Pepe with the truffle was a waste of $35. The truffle was not shaved fresh on the table and didn't really add much to the dish. My boyfriend actually found a piece of a plastic bag in his chicken parm. So... as the sauce tasted, it came out of a bag. Not worth the $20+ we paid. We didn't even make it to dessert because it just didn't seem worth it. read more
