I was able to contact the owner, Marlitta, and together we worked on a flavor profile and what I wanted the cake to look like (kind of) all I said was "eleganza" and boy did she deliver!! It had the most beautiful mirror-like chocolate drip that would make even the most skilled GBBO contestant jealous, beautiful buttercream piping topped with actual peanut butter cups and the cake itself was the most delicious and satisfying I have had in a while. When we looked for an alternative, Platinum was recommended by two people we know, so we booked a tasting. They had us at "yum"! We sampled a few items and were floored. Everything we tried was delicious, so much that it was hard to make a decision. We wanted it all! After talking for a bit about our fall theme and looking at some ideas we had found online, we settled on a three-tier cake that had spice cake in the top two tiers (think a light version of a gingersnap) and a marble vanilla/chocolate as the bottom for our guests with less adventurous tastebuds. We went with a vanilla buttercream, which was lighter and a little less sweet. Superb! When we arrived at our wedding reception, the first thing we noticed was the cake. It was beautiful. They nailed the design and the flavor. We shared a piece of each, and both tiers came out perfect. Moist, delicious, not overly sweet or rich. This will definitely be our go-to bakery in the future.
