I was there for a cleaning on Lunar New Year Dr. Mai was giving all her patients good luck red envelopes with crisp $2 bills, a practice I hear is really reserved for family. I've made them my primary dentists since moving to this side of town and have no issues. They've even seen me on short notice after needing to change my appointment. What's best is they accept my insurance (Delta Dental). Dr. Mai even threw in an orthopedic consult on one of my visits. I also love that they text you reminders of your appointments. I'd recommend coming here if you are in search of a great dentist with a personal touch.

(note, I am extremely scared of dentists due to improper care in the past) NOTE: I paid $10.000 for the horrible service that I am trying to be brief about on here. $5.000 for my permanent retainers. He came up with a plan that my crowns needed to be replaced. I had permanent retainers placed by my Orthodontist years ago to keep my lower front teeth in place, and I paid $5,000 for those. He took it upon himself to remove my permanent retainers, told me that my teeth would not move, I am 57, of course, they will move. He half extracted one of my lower front teeth in the process, very painful. I cannot bite into anything; my lifestyle/food habits have changed due to the half extraction/cannot bite into any foods. I kept going back and forth throughout that time while he tried to come up with a plan for my 4 front teeth. He said for me to come into his office on 6/2/2025, which I did to discuss the bridge he said was the only plan he had that could fix what he messed up. We have been on the phone multiple times trying to come up with a solution for the mess he created with my 4 lower front teeth. On 6/2/2025, he dismissed me and said I was not his patient anymore, and said he was sorry for the mess he created. He had planned the dismissal and did not want me in his office anymore. He took my 10.000 andmade my teeth worse. He said I am not to come into his office anymore. Got a call from his office manager on 6/5/2025, stating I will not get a refund/no work to be done to fix my teeth/not to call or come into the office again... I am at a loss as to what my next move is because Dr. Stephens is the person who created the mess with my teeth, took my permanent retainers out without my permission, took my money, and refused to fix my teeth or see me again due to me being 'unhappy,' he stated... Dr. Stephens has his eyes set on money/financial gains, not on helping patients. Steals your money and does not treat the patient/me and then discards his patients after taking their finances...

I went on Yelp and looked for another dentist who had good reviews and found True Smiles. What a difference it was! Dr. Cao is awesome. He's very friendly, as are his staff. On my initial visit, I asked him about my "cracked" crown, and he said there was nothing wrong with it. Dr. Cao has never recommended any work done on my teeth that I didn't need. I appreciate his honesty. At one point, his staff even told me I had a refund coming because they overcharged my credit card during a previous visit. What dental office does that? I would recommend True Smiles to anyone wanting a professional staff with exceptional service.

So I haven't been to a dentist in a little over a year but this time I was determined to find a…read moreplace where they care about the patients. I am sooooo glad I chose to make my appointment here. Got to fill out my information online so I went at my scheduled time and didn't have a wait time. First impression: very clean, advanced equipment, nice rooms with entertainment, and the friendliest staff ever at a dentist. After signing in I was in the waiting room for about two minutes. Someone had just been called to the back so I thought I was going to be there perhaps 15 minutes, but instead the dentist that was going to treat me came out and took me to the back himself. Dr. Sahegin was awesome- he asked me if I had any concerns, answered my questions, and we decided to just do a general examination and figure out my workup. Michele came in, introduced herself, and took me to do my x-rays: some positions were slightly painful but nothing I couldn't handle and Michele was quick to minimize the discomfort :) Dr. Sahegin did an extremely detailed evaluation at the chair as well. I can't express how much I appreciate this as I've had my fair share of dentists that don't answer questions, look at the general places to do major work, and you're pretty much out the door. Amazing!!! Had to get touch-ups on a couple of things and a filling so I was there a while as the machine was making it. Michele even took me to look at it and at the precision of the coloring. It was nice to see everything that happened "behind the scenes" (maybe its because I ask a lot of questions though lol). I also had a cleaning and Kelli (hygienist) was absolutely wonderful. I asked her a couple of questions and she gave me good tips too. I felt as though I was being a little pampered to be honest. I know it sounds strange as it's the dentist, right? Whenever water splashed on me they would dry it off or if I re-adjusted I would always get an "are you okay?" I couldn't explain that it wasn't the procedure that bothered me as I had my mouth open but Dr. Sahegin, Michele, and Kelli all equally checked up on me constantly. I will say, it was kind of nice :D Before I left, Dr. Sahegin walked me out and talked to me a bit before I left for follow-up questions and to ask me to fill out a survey that the office was going to send me. They really care about the service they offer their patients which means a lot. I have definitely learned to expect more from dentists and can say that I am extremely comfortable returning here. I don't see why anyone should have a problem at Champions Modern Dentistry- they all go above and beyond to accommodate you. Highly recommended!

They took over a dozen X-rays and imaging because they couldn't get the angles correct and then charged me for all of them. They insisted I needed a deep clean and lied on the examination by saying my gums were worse than they actually were. They said I needed other procedures and My insurance came back and denied these claims as fraud. They gave me proof as to why they were fraudulent. I have never had this happen before. I went to another dentist for a second opinion and they warned me not to go back. I canceled my appointment , but they had talked me into ordering a partial. When It came in I went to pick it up, but they refused to give it to me, saying I need to get a medical release before I get it. The receptionist was so rude and condescending I couldn't believe it. I caught her in several lies before I left out of complete confusion that I was unable to get my property. So in recap, be careful when and if you go here. Watch out for them charging you for things you don't need, keeping you there for hours to force you to make a choice you do not want, bold face lying to you, and then disrespecting you if you stand up for yourself. I was finally told that I would receive the payment after about 6 weeks. That time has come and gone. After receiving bad news from another dentist, I sought a second opinion from Dr. Saliba. Although he confirmed the previous diagnosis, he went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and at ease with the treatment that I decided to proceed with him over my previous dentist. Recently, I underwent bone grafting, and Dr. Saliba and his team have been incredibly responsive and caring. Him and his team have reached out multiple times to check on my healing progress and help answer any questions I may have. I highly recommend Dr. Saliba to anyone who has had bad experiences with dentists. He and his team will put you at ease and provide exceptional care.
