So I haven't been to a dentist in a little over a year but this time I was determined to find a…read moreplace where they care about the patients. I am sooooo glad I chose to make my appointment here. Got to fill out my information online so I went at my scheduled time and didn't have a wait time. First impression: very clean, advanced equipment, nice rooms with entertainment, and the friendliest staff ever at a dentist. After signing in I was in the waiting room for about two minutes. Someone had just been called to the back so I thought I was going to be there perhaps 15 minutes, but instead the dentist that was going to treat me came out and took me to the back himself. Dr. Sahegin was awesome- he asked me if I had any concerns, answered my questions, and we decided to just do a general examination and figure out my workup. Michele came in, introduced herself, and took me to do my x-rays: some positions were slightly painful but nothing I couldn't handle and Michele was quick to minimize the discomfort :) Dr. Sahegin did an extremely detailed evaluation at the chair as well. I can't express how much I appreciate this as I've had my fair share of dentists that don't answer questions, look at the general places to do major work, and you're pretty much out the door. Amazing!!! Had to get touch-ups on a couple of things and a filling so I was there a while as the machine was making it. Michele even took me to look at it and at the precision of the coloring. It was nice to see everything that happened "behind the scenes" (maybe its because I ask a lot of questions though lol). I also had a cleaning and Kelli (hygienist) was absolutely wonderful. I asked her a couple of questions and she gave me good tips too. I felt as though I was being a little pampered to be honest. I know it sounds strange as it's the dentist, right? Whenever water splashed on me they would dry it off or if I re-adjusted I would always get an "are you okay?" I couldn't explain that it wasn't the procedure that bothered me as I had my mouth open but Dr. Sahegin, Michele, and Kelli all equally checked up on me constantly. I will say, it was kind of nice :D Before I left, Dr. Sahegin walked me out and talked to me a bit before I left for follow-up questions and to ask me to fill out a survey that the office was going to send me. They really care about the service they offer their patients which means a lot. I have definitely learned to expect more from dentists and can say that I am extremely comfortable returning here. I don't see why anyone should have a problem at Champions Modern Dentistry- they all go above and beyond to accommodate you. Highly recommended!

They took over a dozen X-rays and imaging because they couldn't get the angles correct and then charged me for all of them. They insisted I needed a deep clean and lied on the examination by saying my gums were worse than they actually were. They said I needed other procedures and My insurance came back and denied these claims as fraud. They gave me proof as to why they were fraudulent. I have never had this happen before. I went to another dentist for a second opinion and they warned me not to go back. I canceled my appointment , but they had talked me into ordering a partial. When It came in I went to pick it up, but they refused to give it to me, saying I need to get a medical release before I get it. The receptionist was so rude and condescending I couldn't believe it. I caught her in several lies before I left out of complete confusion that I was unable to get my property. So in recap, be careful when and if you go here. Watch out for them charging you for things you don't need, keeping you there for hours to force you to make a choice you do not want, bold face lying to you, and then disrespecting you if you stand up for yourself. I will be filing a claim with the BBB as I am not the only one who had this happen to them

I was…read moretold that my treatment needed to be split into three separate appointments on different days, forcing me to repeatedly take off work. This was not clearly communicated in advance, and there was no effort made to accommodate my schedule or explain why it had to be handled this way. The office manager was shockingly rude, dismissive, and confrontational. Instead of listening or attempting to clarify my treatment plan, she spoke over me, acted as if I was incapable of understanding my own services, and responded with hostility when I asked reasonable questions. Her attitude was aggressive and completely lacking in professionalism. At one point, she even threatened to call the police simply because I told her she did not understand what she was talking about regarding my treatment plan. That kind of reaction is outrageous and unacceptable in any professional setting, especially a healthcare office. It was also clear that the doctor either does not supervise her staff closely or is unaware of how patients are being treated, which raises serious concerns about the management and overall integrity of the practice. This was by far the worst dental experience I have ever had. I would strongly discourage anyone from seeking care at this office if you value respectful communication and professional treatment.

I was so…read moreupset after I left that I even called my former dentist (in Kentucky) to tell her what happened and express my gratitude to her and really get some validation. I was told I wasn't scheduled for a cleaning, only an intake, despite confirming everything by phone. The week prior, I had to leave after a 45-minute wait because of unresolved insurance issues that I also discussed with someone by phone beforehand. Once I was finally taken back, I was shocked by how unclean the facility appeared--I almost walked out and wish I had. I took a video but it won't led me load it so I will add screenshots. The photos don't do it justice, it was like this all through the back. This is basic cleaning! I take cleanliness and my dental health seriously. I have no history of sensitivity or painful experiences. I just had a cleaning about 6 months ago. I actually love going to the dentist until this experience. I only have two minor cavities (my first ever at 27 years old). This week they told me I have "slight gingivitis" in a few areas as well. Despite that, this was the most painful cleaning I've ever endured. The hygienist was extremely heavy-handed, cutting the roof of my mouth and multiple spots along my gums. I floss daily and never bleed, yet I was bleeding and in significant pain. At one point, I tried to get her to stop so I could take a break, but she didn't respond--I had to physically move her hands. I ended up crying the entire time from both pain and emotional overwhelm. What made it worse was the complete lack of empathy--no acknowledgment, no apology, not even an offer to pause. It felt dehumanizing. I must note that she was playing religious music in her section. I don't usually mind this as I respect people's beliefs, but given the overall experience this just added to the unprofessional setting. She was humming along as I was laying there crying. Otherwise, the most of the staff was very helpful and kind, especially the x ray tech.

Horrible experience. Applewhite Dental Arts turned a routine crown into a nightmare…read more First, they placed a badly fitted temporary crown, which ultimately caused an infection. Instead of recognizing their mistake, they insisted it was root canal pressure. Then, they failed twice to take a proper mold for the permanent crown. When they finally placed the permanent one, it wasn't secured properly -- it just fell off, and there was nothing underneath to hold it in place. No post, no structure -- just poor work. After seeking a second opinion, I found out they had unnecessarily removed healthy tooth material just to force the wrong crown into place. I now need corrective work from a competent dentist -- all because of their carelessness. This isn't just bad dental care -- it's negligent. Avoid Applewhite Dental Arts unless you want to pay for their mistakes out of pocket and in pain.

I was referred by a friend who was a former patient who praised the kindness and professional care she received and their own results were excellent. Although I tried for years to find dental care as through the years previous high priced procedures fell short leaving both eating and chewing to the six front teeth as left and right upper grinding teeth had no lower corresponding grinding teeth. Digestion was poor and stomach problems ensued for on and off the last 20 years. During those 20 years and after spending over $28,000 all I have to show for it is two teeth with implants and a dental "museum-collection" of the evolution of failed implants beginning in 1983 when I commanded the only US Army Field Medical Unit in Central and South America and the Carribean Basin and combat Granada War service. Once the 1983 Army experimental teeth finally were lost in 2021 after Long Covid I had three teeth of which two actuality matched for biting and chewing. I also grew my beard long enough to cover my mouth as to not show I had practically no teeth. Finally I saw one of my friends who suddenly had a great smile and asked where and how much did it cost. I signed up for an appointment stubbornly 2 years and 6 months later at the Porter Tx office. Unfortunately / Fortunately a DWI drove straight across the highway and plowed thru 90% of the Dental Clinic 2 days before my appt. Fortunately Dr's Pournik and Fallah Obed had another office in NW Houston. Beginning with my first meeting I knew my quest for success was finally over. The dignity I was afforded, the professional practiced and experience of Dr's Pournik and Fallah Obed, and their staff and the state of the art of the equipment convinced me I was going to be successfully treated - I was correct.

I was referred to Dr. Ho by North Houston Endodontists. While I was really thrown off by the…read morereally outdated office and Dr. Ho's young appearance, when Dr. Ho examined my teeth he came across very thorough and knowledgable and professional. He took his time, explaining everything to me, and made me feel very comfortable. Before he moved forward with the implant, he had me go back to the endodontist to confirm what he felt needed to be done, which gave me an added level of confidence. I gave them four stars, because, the x-ray record that they sent to the endodontist had someone else's image on it In addition to mine. Also, they forgot to give me the preop instructions telling me what to do before my tooth extraction (apparently I was supposed to take the antibiotic before hand); they forgot to send in a prescription for antibiotics ...this created additional confusion after the procedure, because they thought I didn't want to be on on antibiotics; they also forgot to give me the post op instructions. I had to ask for them. When I emailed the doctor to let him know about the confusion and asked him to call me. He never did...my guess is he never saw the email because it was intercepted by the front office staff who didn't want to get in trouble. Also, the dental assistant during for procedure had to take four x-rays in order to get one good one. So in my opinion, Dr. Ho is very good and thorough but his staff needs some retraining and by all means the office needs to be redone. It is ancient. At minimum the trash should be removed from the shrubs that are visible from the dental chair. A little attention to detail will go long way here and creating a better image for the business.
