they have supported my security system for 5 years and are very difficult to get a hold of anyone, they do not return calls or text messages. my smoke detector and carbon monoxide alarm keeps going off, needs repair and they are no where to be found - and not calling me back to service read more

Asked for a service call to evaluate an issue with one of the cameras they installed. Did not respond to 2 separate emails.

First, I will have to say that Joe and one of his associates, Mitch, did a very good job installing our AV system. But that is where it stopped. When problems occurred, emails and phone calls and text messages were ignored. One time when we finally did connect, we set up an appointment and I took a day off from work to meet him, and he never showed up. I have been trying to get a response from him for over a year now, and our builder reached out to him and Joe said that he would give us a call, but he never did. If you are happy with a good install and can do without any followup maintenance or changes in your system, Joe is the guy for you. Otherwise, find someone else. read more

We had an excellent experience with Cabletek. They were able to come out and mount the TV above the fireplace very quick and professionally. They checked at the end to make sure it was mounted and aligned properly. I would highly recommend to anyone in need of professional TV installation. read more

CableTEK - Security Systems Near Me

We first contacted Cabletek, specifically Joe Graham, regarding a security issue with our home. We had several acts of vandalism, hostile threats and regular harassment from neighbors. CableTek installed an 8 camera security system on the outside of our home. They installed all of the cameras, DVR and all the cabling. They did an outstanding job! They were very professional, quick and none of the cables are visible. This solved 98% of our problem right away. If we had ANY trouble at all with the system (even user error) Joe responded quickly and resolved the issue, usually within a few hours. We have since installed more cameras and DVRs because we were so happy with the original system. They even set up all of the network and our IPAD and phone devices! I would recommend Joe and Cabletek to anyone with a need for electrical, cabling, security systems, or anything they do. They are Very reasonably priced and have an excellent work ethic. Whenever I need work of this nature, my first call is to Joe and Cabletek. Use them, you won't be sorry! read more

Great work by Joe. I called CableTek to wire ethernet through my condo and they arrived 15 minutes prior to appointment time and were very professional throughout the entire process. Joe even added a drop on the ceiling for me at no charge as it was being pulled through already. They cleaned up well and moved everything back. I am very happy with their work. Joe is probably one of the most communicative people I have worked with. I would highly recommend them. The only issue I had was the patching of the holes they cut weren't as clean as I would have liked. It's not a big deal as they aren't painters after all. I can just sand it down myself and repaint the area. read more

Joe and his team (Mitch, Casey, and Nick) were at my house last week and did an awesome job! I had four tvs mounted / surround sound installed / cabling / moving of outlets / automatic lock/ lighting / etc. I had another company to my home prior to Joe who quoted me an outrageous amount. Joe was honest from day one in terms of what was needed / not. I highly recommend CableTek! Thanks again Joe read more

This review is long overdue--Joe installed cameras at our condo building about 6 months ago, and they have already saved us thousands of dollars in recouping damages to our building and significantly enhancing overall security. He installed another camera for us a few weeks ago since we'd had such great results. Joe is easy to communicate with via email, extremely timely (I actually can't figure out how he managed to always be on time when coming into DC from VA in the morning!), and overall highly professional at what he does. We would recommend him to anyone, and I am personally thankful that he made the planning and installation process so easy. Our cameras have been one of the single best investments our building has made! read more

Called these guys on a Saturday for a quote. I called back on Tuesday and came to do the work same day. They called when they were on their way from another job. Did the work quickly, efficiently and didn't damage the walls at all. I am EXTREMELY pleased, and as I told Joe (I'm not sure if he is the owner or manager) I'm not used to people who do these jobs to be knowledgeable or efficient-which is what got me to them in the first place. Awesome. Highly recommend. read more

We were getting ready for a big party this weekend and needed some help getting some TV's mounted & connected and making our outside speakers crisp. I didn't know where to start. CableTek had excellent reviews on Yelp so I gave Joe a shot. Called at 9pm on a Thursday and to my surprise he answered. After his morning appointment he came to our home (on time mind you) and was here until 8pm hooking us up. Excellent service and an excellent rate. I highly recommend Joe and his company. WE'll have him back to help with any future needs. read more

My husband and I met with several companies about installing in-wall surround sound in the family room in our new home, as well as providing and mounting a new TV. To be honest, a lot of the people we spoke with were real jerks! I was so disappointed! Then my husband got in touch with Joe at Cabletek and Joe has been an absolute breath of fresh air- not only is Joe super-knowledgeable and excellent at what he does, but he is incredibly nice and helpful. He answered all of our questions (and then about a million more questions), and each time was knowledgeable, helpful, detailed, and as friendly as could be. Our final product is AMAZING! Our family room audio sounds absolutely amazing- everyone who has been over raves about it and is asking for Joe's card. Cabletek's prices were very reasonable and the workmanship was superb. Joe had to cut our drywall in several places to run wires and install our speakers/subs, but when I returned from work after he completed the job, the drywall looked impeccable- I couldn't even tell where it was cut. He patched and painted perfectly. He and his team were very neat, creating and leaving absolutely NO mess. (From someone who is constantly chasing and cleaning up after two messy young children, THANK YOU JOE for saving me from an extra mess!). :-) Joe and his team were great - incredibly nice, respectful, helpful, and honest. We are pretty picky customers and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone. We'll definitely have Joe and his team back soon to do more work (I see a home theater in our future!).... :-) THANK YOU JOE AND CABLETEK!! read more

Satisfied overall with quality of service. Dissatisfied with responsiveness, or lack thereof, for communications related to troubleshooting, scheduling, and modifying setup. read more

Joe and his team just mounted TVs in our bedroom and family room. The family room also includes a Sonos surround set up. All of the equipment is centrally located out of sight and there are no exposed wires to be found. I used Joe's team for a CCTV install at a previous house and that work was superb. Joe and his techs are educated in their craft and take pride in their work. Joe and his team also clean up their work. You will not find any wire ends, tape etc. littered about your home ever. If you want A/V or Security work done at your home and you want it done with a high level of excellence, I suggest you call Joe and his team at CableTek. read more

I scheduled a meeting with Cabletek on 7/28 at 7am to discuss my home renovation project. Cabletek called me at 7:20am to state they would not make the meeting. They have not responded to my calls or emails attempting to reschedule so I'm now in the middle of my renovation scrambling to find a different company. read more

If your thinking of supporting local small businessmen this is a good place to start. In Northern VA customer service for the most part is non-existent. That's why it is so refreshing to come across a business like Cabletek that recognizes that this is the way to grow a business. Joe Graham is highly competent and his work is impeccable. He's not satisfied until you are satisfied and he will devote all the time necessary to achieve that goal. And did I mention that his price point is extremely competitive. As in Best Buy's estimate was double. read more

Joe and his guys are great! Show up on time. Easy to work with. Installed our security cameras and set them up. And ran cable wire through our basement. Will be using him again in the future. read more

Joe and his team are expert professionals, and their customer service is top notch. Our HOA community voted to have an outdoor surveillance system in our common areas and parking lots. The entire job was done in two phases. First, wires needed to be installed underground in a conduit, and the rest of the devices were installed next year after our community had set our budget to finance the rest of the project. It was a mid-size project, and they completed it on time. CableTek supported our community every step of the way from start to finish! He even took the time to show me and the HOA Board how to use our outdoor camera system. We're now in the process of setting up admin/community privileges so other homeowners can also view the common areas on their smart-devices, and PCs. I highly recommend CableTek for any size job, and all your security needs! They are the best! Keep up the great work guys! read more

I can't say enough about Joe Graham and his team. They installed a security camera system 2 years ago on our home in Georgetown at a very fair price. It has worked flawlessly since then. To my wife's delight, they did a great job on the wiring, disguising it and touching up the woodwork very well - something that is typically not done. Recently I called Joe to get his advice on a second home in New England. He was extremely helpful and guided me to a better solution. I wish all the contractors I deal with were as effective and professional. read more

Recently used Cabletek/Joe to conceal my ugly RG6 TV Cable. I couldn't be happier with the service and price. It was a very easy and pleasant experience. They also did an excellent job patching the drywall after concealing the cable. I could not tell where they made the hole. read more

I called Cable Tek two days ago after finding them on yelp. I just moved to a new place in Arlington Va and needed two large flat screens mounted in the living room and bedroom. My last experience was with a directv installer who did side work and lets just say the job got done but it took 7 hours and wasn't super clean. When i called i needed someone the next day.....Joe picked up my first call and originally said he was booked up the next day (my day off) but could come out the following day. I told him that i was gonna continue contacting other companies looking for someone that could accommodate me for my day off but if i couldn't find someone i would take him up on Wed. About 30 min later Joe called back and said he could fit me in so I said lets roll. Joe was extremely professional and courteous with his follow up and very reasonable with the rates. Joe showed up on time with another gentleman who sadly i forgot his name. I answered the door and these two looked kinda young but i'm like lets see what you got. Let me just say WOW......these guys are consummate professionals. They did an amazing job....super clean.....I wanted no wires showing and all of my entertainment equipment and sound system connected in both rooms. They worked very timely and efficiently while doing a superb job of taking all of the wiring from the units and tidying them up tight and out of view. They did a great job cleaning up after themselves and I'm now enjoying the benefits of finding a company that really knows their stuff. These guys knocked out the whole operation in about 3 hours and i'm just elated. Thank you Joe and co worker for your excellent service....much appreciated! read more

Joe and his team are awesome!! They set up outlets, ports, TVs etv for our new home. They did a great job and going above and beyond is built into their work ethic. Excellent job. Period. read more

I highly recommend this company. Joe, the owner, really knows his stuff. I had him over to mount a couple of TVs, but we discussed many more projects and he had some great ideas as to what we could do. His prices are very reasonable and the quality of the workmanship and the care he put into his work is unmatched. When I moved into my new home my builder forced me to use another company (Trinity Wiring) for my security system, home theater, etc. Unlike them, when discussing projects, Joe thought it through and pointed out things I did not think of and had excellent suggestions about improvements and product placement. Several of my neighbors have also had him do work in their homes and the work their has been truly top-notch as well. I will definitely be using him again for all my future wiring and home theater needs. read more

I called Joe at Cabletek because of the good reviews on yelp and on his website. We made an appointment for him to come to my house to give me an estimate on the work. Appointment was for 2 weeks into future from my phone call. On day of appointment, I used a day of vacation time to be home. No one showed. No one called. An hour after appointment time, I called him and left a voice message. No return call. No way to run a business. read more
