Fantastic family-owned company to work with. I received quotes from several companies for my kitchen remodel, and Cabinetpak was the most attentive to my requirements, easy to work with and competitive in pricing. It was refreshing to work with a family-owned business vs. a big commercial company where you are just a number. With Cabinetpak, you get the benefit of close personalized attention and high quality product/service all in one place. They will definitely go an extra mile for a customer. I absolutely love how my kitchen turned out, was very happy with the process from design through install, and would highly recommend them.

These are the old kitchen cabinets. The old ones were golden oak, and the new ones are called "oyster" colored with a cappuccino glaze.

We weren't told that. Mostly I'm writing this to save someone else from our situation. Our project turned out fine in terms of craftsmanship, but we ended with tile we hadn't picked out. We worked with a salesman and picked out 3 sets of tile...the backsplash was specifically chosen bcs it had subtle yellow tones. When the tile installer came out with the tile, it didn't look like the tile we had ordered. It was gray tone and not yellowed. I double checked all the paper work, and called the store and everything matched. I thought I must have remembered wrong. So, I visited the Tile Shop to see the tile first hand, and that's where the events happened that makes me give them a big BUYER BEWARE. The first salesman who approached me was downright nasty when I explained the situation to me. He told me they don't make mistakes, and that's why I should order the amount of tile they recommend. (Makes no sense about color.) He was so rude I didn't want to talk to him and I found the original salesman. He agreed the tile shade was different and shrugged his shoulders. He told me basically that it had been my responsibility to come in and check the tile they ordered for me before it left the store. No one had ever told us that. So the only option is to tear it out and buy new. Can't attach pics thru Yelp, I was able to on google reviews.

All of these companies were within $100 of each other, and all said they would honor competitor's pricing, so why did I chose to bring my $6,000+ business here? Service, Service, Service, and a young man named Ricardo. Ricardo took care of me, told me he would try to get me the best price (which he did). But that was just the tip, he also assured me they would store my appliances until I was ready for install, he would have them delivered to my new home and installed, and he said he would arrange all of this with my contractor for me!! Basically, I showed up, Ricardo educated me on my options, and then took everything else off my hands. I will be coming back to see Ricardo when it's time for a washer and dryer. Could other companies do these same things? Perhaps, but none of them told me they could. Ricardo did, and he won my business.

I bought an LG refrigerator (Model LFXS26973S) on 14 October 2021 at the Richfield Minnesota store…read morefor a total of 2599.99. My order # is 1121287784673. I also paid for installation and removal of my old and broken LG refrigerator. I will spare readers detail on the misery and distress that it is for a family of five with infants to have to survive without a refrigerator. For anyone who have had such experience....I am not trying to revive the horrible memory. For those who have experience such a thing, just imagine what it could be to.... We have been getting by using 3 big coolers and 6 (20lbs) ice bags per day. The initial installation (#1) was schedule for 19Oct2021 between 12PM - 6PM. The technicians showed up at my house, walked up to my old refrigerator which is identical in dimensions to the newly purchased. He asked me to close the valve connecting the water line from the refrigerator to the water supply which I did. Next he disconnected the water line to the refrigerator and observed a little bit of water dripping. He immediately screwed it back and said there was a problem with my valve as water was still flowing after the valve is closed. He then indicated that I should get a plumber to replace my valve and reschedule the installation. I totally understood and believed what he said. Desperate to spare my family of the misery we were living, I immediately had my valve replace in emergency for $500 cost. Upon further research, I found that I did not need to replace the valve. The dripping water was possibly the residual water in the line. Impatient to quickly put the pain behind I called in to reschedule installation (#2), which was done for 26Oct2021. On that day, the same 2 technicians showed up at my house. The first thing they did is to verify that the valve was replaced. Once confirmed, they took measurement of my doors and bottom end of my stairs (My house is a Split Entry level), all normal steps so far. When they measured the upper end of the stairs where there is a gate, the said the space was 31 inches which is less that the 33 inches (including doors) width of the refrigerator. Therefore they cannot get the refrigerator through for installation. Needless to say how surprised I was, as the new refrigerator had the same dimensions as the my old one. So the question was, how did the old one get brought up and installed. The technician promptly answered that the refrigerator must have been installed before the completion of my 1979 home. I couldn't resist but burst in laughter and remind him that Lg with exterior water/Ice dispensing refrigerator did not exist in 1979. On that note, the technicians did even take a minute to think about how to resolve the issue. The only recommendation they had was for me to take out the rails of my stairs and reschedule the installation. They then left. I couldn't believe what just happen. Again needless to talk about details. I called Geek Squad and they told me all they could do was to reschedule another appointment. Installation (#3) was schedule for 28Oct2021 between 2PM - 6PM. I then went back to the Richfield, MN store hopping to get someone attention and end the misery. To be fair, an experienced and very professional salesman did listen to me and explained that it was a very frequent issue encountered when replacing appliance in older homes. But in most cases (like in my case), removing the doors of the refrigerator should be sufficient. He than took the time to put in a note to my order and write an email to the Delivery & installation manger to advise that the technicians be instructed to removed the door doors of the refrigeration at their 3rd attempt. On 27October, called in to check that my installation #3 was still on track, and that the instruction to remove the door was taking into consideration. The person I spoke to told me that the same technician who came to my house the first two attempts were the same one ones scheduled for the 3rd attempt. She did not know whether they were instructed for the door removal are able to do it. To remove all potential risks, and ensure that the technicians will find no excuse to walk away without installing the refrigerator, I follow their requirement. I hired someone to remove my stairs for another $350, with the commitment to put it back for the same cost, so $700 in total. For those who are familiar with Split-entry level home, you can easily understand the risk of removing the rails of the stairs. It means that there is no more a guard between the upper floor and the stairs. This is a very hazardous situation for anyone in the house, but even more dangerous for our 2 years old daughter. We thought we will only have to hyper watch her for few hours on the 28Nov2021 before the rails gets put back after installation. As you can see, I am willing to do everything I can to get this done. But one thing that I could not control is Best Buys ability to honor their service commitment and deliver on their promi

We have referred them to family and friends--three of those referrals have resulted in projects--and until recently, trusted them without hesitation. Historically, price transparency was something they were willing to provide. Unfortunately, something has changed. Most recently, we were quoted $30-35K for a relatively straightforward mudroom remodel and back door installation. When the formal bid came in at a single lump sum number over $40K with some modest scope additions, we asked for additional transparency into that singular number to understand how much each part of the project was costing so we could determine where adjustments could be made. We were told that a further breakdown of the lump sum would not be provided. Over the next two weeks, we removed multiple significant items from the project scope, yet the total price barely changed in response. We asked repeatedly for greater transparency to understand what was still comprising the lump sum price we were being quoted and never received it. At a certain point, the math just did not add up, and it became increasingly difficult to reconcile the number we were being quoted by Plekkenpol with the project scope. When we expressed frustration with the lack of clarity, the response was dismissive and unhelpful. We were told that regardless of project size--even on significantly larger projects--additional price transparency would not be shared and that we should trust them that we are getting the best price. To be clear, this was not about the money--it was about transparency and partnership. We simply wanted to know what we were being charged for. Because Plekkenpol would not tell us how they arrived at their lump sum price, we ultimately chose to end our long-standing relationship and move on. We recently recommended to another family that they consider Plekkenpol, but after this experience, feel obligated to advise them not to proceed due to Plekkenpol's unwillingness to provide transparency in pricing.

I hadn't heard anything by July and I reached out and my email bounced. I learned then that Dan had retired and I would have a new project manager. Erik was rude and obnoxious. He insulted me about the contract and the options I had selected. He forced us to renegotiate everything in the contract adding exceptional additional costs. Even when it was clear in the contract they would just tell us we're wrong. They destroyed our pool deck and patio when cutting the stone. They failed to reinstall the patio pavers to plan or properly (according to another contractor which we hired to install our paver driveway). It's 2024 and our job is still incomplete. They hired an attorney to try to scare me into paying them another $24,000 (on a project which is in total around $320k - $160k for Plekkenpol) just to part ways. We have quotes now to repair their work in excess of $65,000. There are a lot of people who have gotten good work done by Plekkenpol, but this project was a nightmare for us. If you choose them I wish you the best of luck. They do not care about quality and their owner has zero integrity.
