Please stay away from this business. Once they get the check, they have least regard for customers…read more No wonder they have disastrous reviews on yelp. We recently purchased cabinets for our wet bar from Stone City. Both the owner, Babu, and his employee, Sanjana, came to our home to take measurements. We explicitly requested wall cabinets with glass, obviously for display purposes in the bar. Later, my wife and I met Sanjana at Stone City, where we again discussed having glass cabinets. Sanjana even mentioned that we would need to have the interior of the cabinets painted to match the exterior since we were opting for clear glass, and we agreed to it. However, they sent us FROSTED (Opaque) glass cabinets, which was clearly a mistake on Sanjana's part. When I sent a picture to them, they immediately became defensive and blatantly lied, claiming that we had ordered frosted glass for our bar cabinets. Either Babu was misled by his employee, or they both deliberately tried to cover up their mistake. Instead of accepting their mistake, they ignored my call and responded with long whatsapp messages defending themselves and falsely blaming us for the order. I did not negotiate even a single dollar off their quoted price, and my biggest mistake was trusting them and handing over the check for the full amount without even opening the cabinets palet that they have sent. Trust is valuable in this world, but unfortunately, there are businesses like stone city waiting to take wrongful advantage of it. The only silver lining in this experience is that I am grateful I did not order my countertop from them as well. Babu and Sanjana, You both know what you have done is not right. I will never do business with you again, nor will I recommend you to anyone.

So we thought we would give it one more shot with Stone City. Am I glad we did. They were able to make the installation fit our schedule and came in at about 70% of the other bids. They did everything right except did too much grinding inside our kitchen which left a film of dust on everything. After cleaning that, we had to use a razor blade over parts of the countertops where they had left some adhesive type substance. I am not downgrading them so much because, like I stated, everything else was in line and the price was great. Sanjana was great to work with and very responsive. I do recommend them and will use them again but will make sure they know to not do any fabrication inside.

I was in the middle of getting my house ready to sell and realized I needed to get a set of closet…read moredoors installed within a week. Ugh. On that Friday morning I threw out a plea for help on Yelp and Ryan reached out to me quickly to ask questions and to also guide me on the process of finding the right size based on the closet measurements. In a task that frankly seemed unachievable and stressful with my tight timeline, Ryan made me feel more comfortable that we could get this done. I ordered the closet doors from Home Depot that same day with an expected delivery time of 5 days and Ryan booked his schedule to come do the work the next morning. On the day of the planned delivery, a day prior to the install, I received a notification from FedEx that it was being bumped to the next day. I called them and they said that the box had been damaged and they would be delivering it the next day with no guaranteed timeline, but expected "midday". I let Ryan know and so he adjusted his schedule to come in the afternoon instead. Also, knowing my tight timeline, he brought along someone to help speed up the install. Ryan and his associate Eric came by late Friday afternoon (when the doors actually finally arrived), and after the doors were hung up, we found that they were shorter than advertised and would require additional adjustments so it would look correct. We also found that the handles had to be manually routed (which was not included in the online description of those doors). With the additional work required, us getting late into the evening and additional materials needing to be picked up, we needed to schedule another day. They came back two days later, a day before listing photos were to be taken, and finished up the install and I could not be happier! These guys did such a fantastic job. I really lucked out with Ryan seeing my request for help that day. He truly went above-and-beyond throughout the process to help me get those doors in ahead of my listing photos. And the pricing? Extremely reasonable. I have hired many a contractor in my time and I know that it can be so hard to find a good one. Call Ryan. He will take care of you.

Examples: a) Living room ceiling needed repair with replacing drywall in a 4x4 section and sanding & re-texturing 2 other areas plus painting took 7 working days, b) in a 6 1/2 hour work day only 2 walls in a bedroom were painted, one coat, no trim work. A project that was supposed to take approx 2 weeks was not completed after 5 1/2 weeks. To be fair I did add a few things to the project but they would not have taken an additional 3 weeks. They probably do a good job on small projects but not on bigger projects. The attention to detail was also lacking.

Avoid this company!!…read more For the past three weeks, I have been attempting to have someone from BEST Kitchens and Baths to get back in touch with me regarding a bathroom remodel completed in 2019 that has workmanship errors now causing damage to my home. Following the work being completed in 2019, BEST provides a two year warranty which was a huge selling point when I selected them to do the work in my home. I reached out over three weeks ago on Saturday May 15th via email. I did not receive any reply until Thursday May 20th, when they stated that they would have a project manager assist. Since that initial reply, I have emailed three times with no response as well as called three times, left voicemails and have still had no contact. The result is now the initial issue is getting worse and causing more damage to my home with BEST choosing to ignore my contact entirely.

We hired BEST to build a 400-sq-ft addition on our home. The project was scheduled to begin March…read more3, 2019, and we were told it would take 8 weeks. March 3rd came and went with no communication. After a few days, we contacted BEST and were told there was some hold up with the permit. It became immediately apparent that BEST, and the project manager Ben McBride, were completely unfamiliar with the permitting process. We finally broke ground on April 23, 2019, seven weeks late. We were assured it would still be an 8-week project. As with the permitting process, it became undeniable that BEST had no idea what it was doing. Our impression was that there were no plans for one step of the project until the previous step was completely done. So, for example, the foundation was finally completed (which took 2 tries), and only then did BEST start to figure out how to do the framing. So, between each step, there was typically a delay of 4-6 weeks as BEST tried to figure out what to do next. And during this entire process, there was next-to-no communication. We regularly went 6-8 weeks with no contact, and then one day a sub-contractor would show up at our house. In Fall 2019, one member of BEST started coming to our house every day. At first, we thought this was a sign of good things to come, and maybe the project would start moving again. We have now discovered that almost everything this person did was done incorrectly (e.g. interior framing). While this employee was coming to our house, there was no oversight or supervision. We were made many promises that were either forgotten or ignored. We were told someone from BEST would be at our house every day while the project was going on - this never happened. We were told there would be regular walk-throughs to discuss progress and next steps - this never happened. We finally moved in to our new space on February 17, 2020, about 10 months after we broke ground (on the 8-week project). After moving in, we developed a short punch list that consisted of mainly cosmetic issues. As of the writing of this review (August 25, 2020), we believe we have said goodbye to BEST for the last time. The punch list was only recently completed (as much as we think it will be) after another 6 months have passed, and some items have been either ignored or forgotten (interior paint and drywall repair/touch-ups). If you are interested in more details about this project and our experience, do not hesitate to message me privately.

Had a guy from a big name company come out and quoted us $500-$800 and needed 1-2weeks to replace the frame and door. Bek came over right away on a Saturday and fixed our frame then reattach the door the next morning at 7:30am before we had to leave the house. All for far less than we were quoted. He was super nice and helpful... we have 4 kiddos all young and they were very interested in his work. He was very kind and they all enjoyed watching him work. He even took down an old fan for us and installed a new light. Just can't say enough good things about him. Thanks Bek!!!
