Recently fell I love with the ganache cast iron pumpkin by Le Creuset. Since it's discontinued I concluded after an exhaustive search of approximately 130 retailers in North America, only 3 had it. One had previous sent me a supposedly new item that clearly wasn't with accompanying sketchy information, so they were a hard no. The second had an error on their site so actually didn't have it. That left Chef's Corner. Took a bit for me to pull the trigger but their well organized site and fantastic Yelp reviews convinced me, along with a generous first purchase discount. I have to applaud them for being prompt to respond to inquiries, and their willingness to address a shipping challenge was truly a blessing. I bundled several items and everything arrived sooner than expected and in flawless condition. When I was setting up my table it caused me to look harder at a piece I recently ordered direct from Le Creuset and I discovered a flaw, (already proving a hassle to rectify that) so going forward I would absolutely order from Chefs Corner instead of direct from manufacturer. This company is unparalleled in a lot of respects in comparison to a lot of others selling the only brand of cookware I have interest in-Le Creuset. Best price I found for a new pan set. Initially the wrong item was shipped, similar set by a different brand, it looked very similar I really can't blame them. Chefs Corner store was very responsive in straightening out the order; prompt and apologetic email correspondence, paid for exchange shipping, prompt turn around sending the correct item. On 12/22, we Ordered a coffee maker through Google. Was supposed to ship from this store. It was on sale and cheaper than Amazon. Would rather buy local. Received a call from the store the day after the order. They said they were out of stock and we would receive it in 1/9. That's fine. We can wait another week. Today 12/29 we received an email that the coffee maker is now out of stock completely and our order ic cancelled. Now we have to buy the coffee maker for $20 more than we would have, and have to wait longer. We would have just paid the $20 extra and received the coffee maker on 1/2 to begin with. I am giving Chef's Corner my highest rating because of the excellent customer service I received from business owner Nancy who responded to my "lost shipment" email through Amazon just minutes after I sent it. Before responding further, Nancy investigated with FedEx and forwarded that information to me. With the information from FedEx (which I appreciate), I was able to conduct a search and find the beautiful Staub crêpe pan I had ordered and that FedEx had misplaced. By the time I got back to her (a matter of minutes), Nancy had issued a refund. Because I found the pan, I made sure we cancelled the refund so that Chef's Corner would be paid. I have since spent some time on the store's web page and wish I lived closer to their showroom in Colorado. They stock beautiful high-end, cookware, including a big assortment of Japanese and German cutlery at reasonable prices. I look forward to shopping with Chef's Corner in the future knowing they stock such nice items and take care of their customers. read more

I recently purchased some fiesta ware silverware online from this store, and found that two of the dessert forks were defective. There was a 25 year warrantee from the manufacturer, but upon contacting them I was told that the pattern had been discontinued, so they couldn't replace them. They suggested that I contact the store where I purchased them, which I did. The extremely nice and helpful person at Chef's Corner Store apologized (even though it wasn't their fault), said that they would search for a returned set to "cannabilize" in order to replace the forks. She called back to say that they were unable to find a replacement, but that they would issue a $20 credit so that I could replace the items by going to the www.replacements.com website. I thought this was EXTREMELY nice, and would highly recommend this store, for their prices, and their excellent customer service! I will definitely shop there again. read more

I contacted Amy directly after seeing their items online, she provided me a great deal of information to assist me in deciding to purchase an Ankarsrum mixer. Unfortunately a miscommunication with delivery popped up but they immediately made an adjustment for the inconvenience and continued to be concerned that I was being well taken care of. I am a serious cook. I love this place. If you too are a serious cook, you will love this place. If you're not a serious cook, but you love food please come and talk to the lovely owners about food. They carry basics likes knives (Shun, Kyocera, Wustof), pots and pans(inc Le Creuset). They also carry interesting sauces, pastas and specialty items like the kevlar glove I picked up for my new V-slicer. I really enjoyed poking around the store, there is so much to see and I bought a cart-load of stuff. The owner was very sweet, she gave me a really nice reusable bag and told me about the sushi class they are having later this month. I went to Surfas this past week and never imagined that Whittier would have anything that even compares. The Chef's Corner is small, but well worth the trip. This is a great place to buy gifts for cooks and they do offer gift cards. (hint, hint) ;-) read more

This store is now closed and the owners have indicated it is again an on line store. I love to cook and am tired of chain store with employees who have limited cooking experience. One might as well read the equipment's brochure. How refreshing to have a store where the owners can speak knowledgeably about equipment, spices etc...even if they may not carry that item. Visiting the store is an enjoyable experience with an opportunity to not only browse and buy, but share cooking and dining experiences. I will be trying one of their cooking classes in the future and will get back to you when that happens. read more

The Chef's corner store has high quality cooking essentials they carry anything from spatulas to huge Margarita machines. It reminds me of a small Williams Sonoma (but don't ever mention that to the owner , trust me I know I did it!) They offer samples of coffee although I never got offered one...must of been the Williams Sonoma comment. Despite the poor quality of their service I did by a baking pan and some mixes which I like but I think I will stick to the bigger chain stores, sorry to do it I love small buisness but I have to admit the service is better at Williams or Crate and Barrel. My friend and I were looking for raclettes. She found Chef's Corner Store online and discovered that they were located a short distance away. It was Sunday, 12/29 and she knew that they were closed, but she called anyway and expected to leave a message. To her surprise, the owner answered the phone. She told him what she was looking for and, although they were closed, he offered to wait for her if she wanted to come by and pick it up. When she arrived he had it waiting for her. They had a brief conversation and explained that his staff had a ton of orders to fill, so he came in to help them out before going out of town for the holiday. As she told me about her experience, we both commented on how nice that was. I called on 12/31 to find out how late they were going to be open. I spoke to a very friendly woman amd she said that they would be closing at 12. She asked what I was looking for and said that they were almost sold out of raclettes, but if I gave her my email address, she would check stock and let me know what, if anything, they had left. I received an email less than 10 minutes later with details of the 2 remaining units she had - product #'s, descriptions, price, etc. I was so impressed with her wlingness to help! I emailed her back with my selection and told her that I would be there as soon as I could - she told me not to rush, that she would wait - even though she was supposed to close at 12. When I arrived, I had the same experience as my friend. My raclette was waiting for me at the front door and my interaction was excellent. I cannot say enough about the level of customer service my friend and I received. Superb! They definitely went above and beyond for both of us - and we will both be back!
