Went here a few times during my week's long vacation visiting family nearby. I was told Cabin…read moreCoffees were popping up everywhere around good 'ol Minnesota. It was conveniently located a couple minutes away from where I was staying. Lots of drinks and some food to choose from. I am always up for trying different coffee places when I am on travel. Here they have "white coffee" which she said was a lighter version. I went with a large white coffee with oat milk and sugar free shots of syrup. Tried the chocolate + Vanilla the first trip, turned out to be really tasty. Not too strong of a coffee flavor which was okay with me, but it tasted like marshmellow. I was pretty pleased. The next morning I said to sub in 1 pump of sugar free rasberry, and it was really good too. Kinda like a rasberry crumble. I got that the next day too. The only issue I have here was the prices were different on all 3 visits even though I got the same sized drink (large) and same drink (white coffee mocha with oat milk). I just varied the types of syrups. First day it was around $6.80ish. 2nd visit it was about $7.50ish. But the last day it was $9.25..?!? I was like - what's going on? She said I may have charged you for a medium on previous days - - but there were still $1 differences btwn Day 1 and Day 2. And $9.29 for a large coffee mocha is too high. I live in Austin, TX - where food here is notoriously more expensive that it should be, and I have never paid $9+ for a large mocha drink. I think that's like NYC or Los Angeles pricing. I wasn't too happy about that so I opted not to go back on my last few days. I did not want to pay $9+ for a large coffee drink. But overall the experience was worthy of 4-stars here (well, 3.5 and I'll round up to 4). The service here was very nice on all my visits, very friendly too. The coffee tasted good and they were flexible to switch out the syrups, plus they had 4 sugar free options there. But we gotta get the pricing thing down, it shouldn't be different on all 3 visits and a large shouldn't be $9.29ish.

One came up to our table and said, " we close at 2 so..." 5 mins after we sat down to eat. No said thanks or goodbye. They were locking doors and cleaning while we packed up. Will never stop again.

We had a group of seven adults and a baby, and when I called late in the afternoon, they were able to accommodate us at exactly the time we desired. From the moment I pulled up, I had a good feeling. The exterior has that historic charm, and inside it's beautifully updated while still keeping the character of the building. We were seated in a semi-private room overlooking the dam, which made the whole experience feel even more special. The service was fantastic - attentive without being overbearing - and the food absolutely delivered. Our table ordered a variety of dishes, from the smash burger to salmon and rice, shrimp, steak, and even the French onion soup. Everything was spot on. And I have to mention the dirty martini with hand-stuffed blue cheese olives... incredible. Every single person in our group enjoyed their meal, the drinks, and the atmosphere. Highly recommend - this will definitely be our go-to spot the next time we're in town.

Ribeye was cooked perfectly. Poutine was on point. I would suggest adding the meat. It's a nice touch. Stuffed dates were incredible. I realize it sounds odd, but the flavors are a great combo. The only oddity about this place was parking. Be ready to parallel park on the street. Very odd parking situation.

If I had a family I could see us going here every Sunday after church. I got a Reuben because I'm on the prowl for the best Reuben around that's not my own and so far this has been the best. Toasted perfectly, proportions were perfect all I needed was a little less cheese and for more corned beef coverage. Fries were seasoned nicely. Onion rings were not BAD but they were mid, edible. They were down a few employees when we visited (the sign in the door said that they were looking for a chef), which is probably why it took quite a while to get our food. That said, our server was polite and attentive and kept our glasses full before and during our meal. Decor isn't the focus here--aside from a few pictures and other wall decorations, it's fairly stripped-down. You can tell that this is a popular place, as many of the tables were full, and people kept coming. You get the feeling that this is something of a gathering place, which is nice. There were lots of families, couples, and groups of friends. My aunt and uncle split the club sandwich and said it was very good. I got the salad bar, which was unlike the salad bars that I've had elsewhere. While there are some of the usual salad fixings--lettuce, chopped tomatoes, olives, minced onions, and diced peppers--there were also tons of mixed salads, too. There was tasty coleslaw, zippy pickle and pasta salad, and rich potato salad. It was like being at a mini church potluck and being able to take a scoop of everyone's family recipe (perfected over decades, of course). I was delighted by how fresh everything was (I'm pretty sure that the tomatoes had come out of someone's garden, and I want to know their secret), and the pickled beets were super tasty. All in all, I'd say this is a good option for a bite if you're stopping on your way to or from the Driftless Area. Do try the salad bar; it's tasty bit of soul-hugging nostalgia. Somewhat limited options for those with dietary restrictions, so probably not a good choice if you're dealing with allergies, sensitivities, etc.
