Cute little place with a menu written on a chalkboard . Prices comparable to the chains but with coffee tasting far better. On the way to whitewater state park on cool, fall afternoon, I wasn't in a coffee frame and mind and tried the hot chocolate, instead; made with dark and white ghiradelli chocolate. Because it was made with ghiradelli, it didn't taste like the powered package mix that has me asking why I just paid high-end coffee pricing for something I can get at the store and make myself. It wasn't until after I had ordered inside that I noticed Cabin Coffee also has a drive-through. Bonus! The cold, snowy, winter days will make that little feature well-used. In fact, on my trip back through the next day, it wasn't snowing or cold, but I tried the drive-through anyway, and ordered a latte. It was perfectly made, not too watery and not too weak. CCC is definitely a place I'll visit again the next time I'm in the area.

BEST COFFEE SPOT EVER. They were fast, super nice and the drinks were delicious. It was $19 for three coffees, but the sizes were big. It was definitely worth it!

I hate to come down on a little business, but I hope this helps them get some employee training. Cabin Coffee Co. is really cute to look at, but it was honestly the worst coffee I've ever had in my life. Ever. EVER. And I have had some BAD coffee in my life! (I've also had amazing coffee.) Imagine my surprise on a cross-country drive with my sister after we drove way off the freeway based on the Yelp reviews we saw here and we paid NEW YORK CITY prices for coffee so bad that we COULDN'T EVEN DRINK IT! And believe me, girl, I will drink some bad coffee, especially if I've paid $4.50 for it. I ordered a 16oz Iced Non-Fat Vanilla Latte. My sister ordered a short Café Au Lait. (This may have been the first Cafe Au Lait the girl at the window had ever made.) While my sister got a dishwater-flavored travesty that she actually spit out the window, I received a chemical bath of fakey-fake over-sweetened confusion. I tried three tiny, chemical sips, then drove to the gas station next door where we threw $8 of coffee in the garbage. We didn't trust the girl at the window to remake the drinks. They were THAT BAD!!! And we'd had such trouble helping her understand our simple order that we didn't even bother with asking for a refund. Why did we doubt her communication skills? We gave her our order SEVEN TIMES before she could understand it and type it into the system. She then proceeded to make the "drinks." Boy howdy. I can't believe I tipped her. I really hope that Cabin Coffee Co. can turn things around because every town in America needs phenomenal coffee. But until they do, just remember that the golden arches are gleaming nearby. It's basic coffee, but it's pretty decent... and it only costs a couple bucks. It may not be artisanal or life-changing, but at least it doesn't give you a tummy ache or wipe out your petty cash. I will ALWAYS support a local business first, but you have to earn that continued support by having a great product. Oh, Cabin Coffee. We were so excited. And we were so disappointed! Please change!

Can't wait to get to that cinnamon roll!

Slow, way over priced for coffee and food. Don't bother with the drive through. Friendly service though

Del's Café -- Consistently Good at Being Bland…read more Let me begin by saying I'm genuinely grateful Del's Café exists. In a small town with precious few options for a homestyle meal, having a dependable family restaurant is something worth appreciating. And Del's is certainly dependable. The food is consistent, the portions are familiar, and nothing is particularly fancy. Unfortunately, neither is the flavor. I've sampled much of the menu over numerous visits, and the one thing that consistently disappoints me is just how remarkably bland the food is. It's almost as though seasoning is something to be approached with great suspicion. Salt, pepper, and mayonnaise seem to constitute the culinary spice cabinet at Del's. Take the fried fish, for example. It's genuinely impressive in one respect: the batter is wonderfully crispy. The crispiness can compete with any chip shop on the global stage. They have the technique down. But the flavor? Virtually no seasoning. With the right seasoning, this dish could easily go to an 11. Instead, it's just crispy, battered fish. The tartar sauce is a real head-spinner. It looks amazing, with visible pickles, appealing color, and all the visual promises of a flavorful accompaniment. But taste it, and there's nothing there. It's essentially a paste with texture, something to wet the fish rather than complement it. How something can look so promising and deliver so little flavor is a let down. And please, don't ask for rice. Judging by my experiences, it seems to be regarded as something of a culinary trespass. The prime rib is another example. A cut of beef that should be rich, savory, and deeply satisfying somehow manages to arrive without much character. I've even found myself having to explain what au jus is when requesting it. The chili is something else entirely. I've been to Texas. And New Mexico. I've had chili. What Del's calls chili is a cultural enigma. I swear it's a bean stew that tastes like a can of baked beans and bean soup with boiled hamburger and a splash of bbq and or ketchup. Then there's the salad bar, which others seem to rave about. I confess I don't share their enthusiasm. You'll find an assortment of prepared "salads," but if you're imagining a traditional salad bar with a generous variety of fresh vegetables and toppings, temper those expectations. I'll leave the final judgment to others, but I've never been impressed. The dumpling soup deserves a mention. It's wonderfully old-school, the kind of dish that evokes traditional home cooking. It's worth trying for that reason alone. But once again, the flavor is missing. Now, lest you think I find nothing worth celebrating at Del's, there are a couple of bright spots. The blueberry pancakes are my number one favorite item on the entire menu. I won't reveal the secret, but there's something about them that Del's gets absolutely right. They're genuinely worth ordering, and I look forward to them. And the pies! Del's makes honest-to-goodness homemade pies and desserts, prepared from scratch. That's increasingly uncommon and deserves recognition. If you have room after your meal, they're absolutely worth trying. There's something special about a restaurant that still takes the time to make its own desserts. Which makes the rest of the menu all the more frustrating. The food looks good, sometimes even great. The preparation can be perfectly respectable. There's clearly a passion here to produce genuinely memorable homestyle cooking. But somewhere between the kitchen and the table, flavor seems to have been left behind. As a member of the community I've brought out of town guests and family to Del's. My bland experience is a shared one. I honestly ask, where is the flavor? For me, my experiences over four years now is grounded in the consistency that Del"s offers. It's bland food. Sustenance. Perhaps the regular clientele prefers things this way; local palate favoring mild, uncomplicated food, and Del's knows its audience exceptionally well. I can't say. I can only describe my own experience. After a few visits I need a break; the absence of flavor becomes genuinely disheartening. Its is disappointing sitting down to a beautiful-looking plate of food and discovering that it offers almost nothing to the palate; like the chicken bkfst burrito last night. Sustenance only. Zero seasoning. I ordered ice cream just to feel. If you appreciate very mild, familiar, unchallenging food, Del's may be exactly what you're looking for. But if you enjoy savory depth, thoughtful seasoning, or even a little umami, I'd suggest leaving those expectations at the door. I'm grateful it's here. I appreciate the consistency, the familiarity, and the role a restaurant like this plays in a small community. I just wish the kitchen would embrace the idea that homestyle cooking doesn't have to mean flavorless cooking. Del's has mastered consistency. I only wish it would champion flavor with the same enthusiasm.

I had their homemade barbecue pork sandwich with cheese on toasted sourdough bread with a side of fries and coleslaw. I like things on the less sweet side, so the barbecue sauce and slaw had a little too much sugar for me. I bet most people would like it. It was worth the stop.

They also sell food, coffee and ice cream. We ended up grabbing lunch - I got a smoked turkey sandwich, my friends got a Rachel sandwich and a breakfast burrito with sausage. Food was good. My friends also got coffee but said they weren't great, a bit watered down. They did have a sign hanging from the ceiling where the line forms for pastries. Even though there wasn't a ton of people in line when we got there we would have been next in line and they kept calling to help the next person but as someone who has never been here I needed to browse a bit to make a decision. But didn't want to tie a staff up while I was looking around. When I was ready to order I said so and the available staff still tried to bypass me despite me standing right in front of them. Also while I was waiting for my friends to decide a woman was waiting by the line sign but they already had a bit of people browsing.. the lady waiting had a bit of an attitude about the line process and the order they were helping people which was crazy but I understood the frustration. We were also skipping in line on the cafe side. While they were changing over duties. Prices were okay for most items. Service and customers came off as a bit rude overall.
