Visited this orchard on a nice late October Sunday and had the best afternoon! It is $8/person for a 1/4 peck of apple picking (tasting allowed) and can pay more for bigger bags. As a group of four we greatly enjoyed walking around the orchard and finding our favorite apple varieties. Afterwards we stopped at the little cafe for some apple cider donuts and beignets, all which were warm, fresh, and absolutely delicious!! Ended our visit by picking a few pumpkins to take home for carving/painting! Would definitely recommend for couples and families as a fun fall activity! read more

Beautiful place but looks a little weird when you pull in. Park on the gravel. You have to buy a basket to fill up in order to go into the orchard FYI. no hot apple cider just the jugs. No donuts either. Good prices on pumpkins/ gourds. Lots of apples to pick and they told us where they were currently "ripe." read more

Apple picking was lots of fun for the kids to do. We started out in a play area where the kids could burn some energy. They had sand, swings and a small maze for little kids. They had a blast. When we were ready to pick the apples, a tractor came around every 20 minutes or so for rides back and forth. We purchased a $10 1/2-peck bag up front so the kids could fill it up as we walked along the rows. We bought gourds & pumpkins and the price seemed fair. I noticed also they had a good price on cabbage so I may return for some soon. The only thing I wish for here is the baked goods or cider that other places have. However they are not set up for something like that. All is all, this place was not a disappointment. read more

I had paid to enter their orchard, and the maze with my kids. We had a wonderful time, as there was such a selection to choose from as far as apples. We had filled up 3, 1/4 sized bags, then dropped them off at our truck so we could go through the corn maze. As we came back in we were stopped by an elderly man on an ATV. He had seen us with our bags previously and even waved hello. However the 2nd time seeing him it wasn't as polite. He said that we needed to pay for the apples we had taken, even though I kept the receipt the lady gave me (time stamped today) and showed him said receipt, he still did not believe me. When I went up to the entrance area, the lady recognized me and said that I did pay and that she was confused as to what he was talking about. All I'm asking is for them please educate their staff with what is going on. The gentleman was pretty rude, while I was trying to give my explanation. We typically go to their orchard for pumpkins and other fall decorations, because it's just up the road however we will be heading to other places in the future. Simply accusing someone of not paying even after I showed him our receipt/proof of purchase , is NOT ok. read more

I've been here a couple of times now over 2 years. Pros: it's right in Rochester, convenient. This past year though, we were told they were short on apples. Umm ok. They took us on a hayride to where we should pick apples. You have to get a bag for at least $6 per person. You can share with another for $12 which just means you must pay $6. You can get plenty of apples for that price though! They only had honey crisp and lady reds, and were so tasty. Didn't go on the maze because I was exhausted. I'd come back though. read more

Seekapp has a lot of pros. First, proximity. It is literally less than five minutes from downtown Rochester. Next, there is no charge for going on to the orchard, unlike many other locations in the area. The charge to pick apples is by the bag- I think it was $10ish for one? And you can fill it with any kind you want. There is a free hay ride that takes you out to the apple picking locations. Last, there is a nice little market at the front where they sell already picked apples, pies, veggies, and jams. There are a few cons. The apples are not as high of quality as some of the other locations I have been to in the Rochester area. Also, there are not as many activities to do around the orchard as there are at other locations. There isn't a petting zoo and not a place to get munchies like apple cider and popcorn. It is also relatively small so it gets picked over sooner and crowded faster. Overall, if you are just going for the experience rather than the actual apple, I would recommend Sekapp. It is 30min-to an hour of family fun. read more

Kind of a nice spot to go in the fall for autumn goodies. We love the caramel apples and always get pumpkins there, massive quantities. Not much parking however in the peak season. Summer time they have strawberry picking. read more

We take students here every year. We love the tractor rides, hay and corn mazes and picking apples. It is free to go in. If you are in Rochester, especially in the fall, you should stop in. It is a beautiful, little piece of the country on the edge of the city. read more

Good apple selection and lots of good picking. The staff is mostly young folks who maybe don't have a ton of customer service experience, but it's not a big deal if you know what you're doing. I appreciate that the apples take center stage. Some pick-your-own orchards turn into a carnival/zoo where the apple picking is merely a side attraction. Sekapp has a corn maze, pumpkin patch, playground, etc, plus a pretty nice fall produce market and a couple food trucks (at least on the weekend), but the focus is still on the apples, which will keep us coming back. read more

Have visited this Orchard for several years in a row now. Have always enjoyed it as an outdoor sensory activity with wagon rides, Apple picking, flowers and pumpkins and gourds. This year, much to my disappointment, we witnessed what appeared to be some racial profiling. An oriental family in the wagon riding with us, who spoke perfect English, were told to get off their lazy a** and go get some more apple bags despite they had just been told inside that they had enough bags. The tractor driver then proceeded to collect money from them and stuck it in his pocket. A number of guests on the wagon witnessed this entire ordeal and spoke up loudly. Soon, a 4 wheeler came by, the tractor driver gave him the money, whispered something in his ear and passed the money along asking him to bring out some more bags for this oriental family. Things appear to have changed since last year. The tractor goes out to the field and waits until you are ready to come back. Meanwhile, if you are waiting for a wagon ride out to the Orchard, you could be waiting a half hour or more like us. Last year, he made continual rounds and there was very little waiting. This year, you can not go out to the Orchard unless every person over the age 6 had purchased a bag. One child free with one paid bag for someone over 6. Disabled child or not, it didn't seem to make a difference. Really disappointed in the change. Not sure I will go back there... read more

My family has visited Sekapp's for years. It's a great little place and really close to home. The selection in the fall is terrific. Mums are large and low priced. Pumpkins everywhere. Gourds or all kinds. Amazing apple cider. Apple picking was a first for us - it was a lot of fun and a good variety to pick from. I won't go there again. It is super expensive ( $10 for a tiny bag of apples) and despite everything being outside they don't let dogs in. I was unaware of the no dog policy and when I had my dog with the employee was EXTREMELY rude to me about it- so much so I didn't even bother putting the dog back in the car, we just left. read more
