I was passing through Rochester and needed a coffee break! This place has a free parking lot but plenty more free street parking. At first I was confused because it seemed to be a plant store, but they are located inside the store to the far left when you walk in! The staff here was really wonderful! I had questions and they were happy to answer! I decided to try their spring fling latte which had rhubarb and a thyme cold foam. Yes you read that right. It was an almost savory cold foam. While I give them props for stepping out of the box with this coffee, this just wasn't my favorite. My friend got a chai drink and that was very tasty!! This place has SO many cute items inside and around as well! I would definitely come back and just try something different! The vibes here are bright and so cute! This is definitely worth a stop if you are in the area! read more

This is a great little breakfast/brunch spot in downtown Rochester. I met a friend there for Coffee and also got a delicious breakfast sandwich. There was a decent line, but the staff moved people through quickly, and overall the service was great. The coffee is quite good, and they have a selection of pastries as well. read more

This place is a treat to your eyes. It's in between a nursery and a greenhouse farming. It has a beautiful views and a fresh air. There's a light band playing inside. Anyone can go sit there and relax for many hours with amazing creative coffee drinks that they make along with multiple other options tolike there was a live band playing when we were there. The people are very kind that the services been outstanding. I ordered hot cold brew. It was good creative way of making it, and there was also an amazing spices sauces that they were selling, which can definitely be something that you can buy from there plenty of parking inside and if you come on Sunday, this place will be jampacked because people will be buying plans from the nursery as well. It's all connected internally . Cheers. read more

Ok first off this place is so cute! It was pretty busy so it was a bit loud inside. Seating was limited and we also weren't able to get a table by an outlet. However, we were still able to get a few hours of work in here. I love how much natural light comes in! We tried the horchata cold brew which was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. The real star of the show was the TIRAMISU COLD BREW!!! Whatever you do, you NEED to try this. I believe it has a mascarpone cold foam and the ladyfinger is a beautiful touch. Not only was the idea unique, but it was DELICIOUS. We literally ordered another one before we left LOL read more

I really love this place. I've been living here for a year, and this coffee shop has definitely been a favorite of mine. I love coming to study, meet with friends, and even embrace the greenery of their greenhouse (occasionally bringing home a new plant :D lol). Parking can be a little bit of a stretch sometimes during their busy hours. They do have a small parking lot. Today I really tried not to be a difficult customer (I was once a barista too). They had a seasonal drink, tiramisu cold brew. I had requested if it could be made into a latte instead & the staff was so kind to do so! I really appreciate their kindness and efforts. It's such a lovely place, great ambiance, and wonderful staff. 11/10 recommend. read more

I absolutely love this place. Every time I have visited Rochester, I have, without fail, made a stop here either to work or grab a beverage. The setting with the adjoining plant store is absolutely perfect. It can get busy and a bit loud but I barely notice when I have my headphones on. The drinks have mostly been good! I have had a couple that weren't so great, like the Chai latte, which seemed more like a sweetened milk. Otherwise, the other teas and coffees do the job. The baristas are very friendly as well! This place is definitely a vibe. read more

If you're a cocktail bar you should provide a good listing of cocktail options. Must be 300 bottles of liquor on the shelves and only list 6 cocktail options. I'm not a seasoned cocktail drinker so having a menu would be helpful. Service was very good. read more

Such a unique coffee shop with interesting flavors. I ordered a hot latte with vanilla, hazelnut and white chocolate sauce. It was so sweet and I love sweet coffee. Service was fast and didn't have to wait long for my order. While my order was being made, I walked around the plant store next door. There's plenty of seating inside the shop as well as seating outside. Can't wait to be back read more

I love Cafe Aqui! Local coffee place in Rochester, with fantastic coffee and delicious cafe food. Their pao de queijo (Brazilian cheese bread) is fantastic!!! Their scones are also delicious, always perfectly flaky and not too sweet. Staff is awesome! Always attentive, they seem genuinely thankful for one's business. Café Aqui is located inside a flower shop (Sargents, which is also spectacular), and you can sit in the green house, which makes you feel like you are drinking your coffee in a tropical forest. Perfect for Minnesota winters! Highly recommend Cafe Aqui read more

As soon as you walk into Cafe Aqui, you feel the energy--it's a cozy, vibrant space tucked inside Sargent's and surrounded by lush greenery. The vibe is warm, alive, and beautifully decorated with plants everywhere, making it a perfect spot to relax or catch up with a friend. It's clearly a popular spot--the line kept growing while we were there. Their menu is solid, offering a good variety of coffee drinks and light bites. We tried the special Daydream Flat White and the Horchata Cold Brew. It was my first time trying horchata, and it definitely stood out--refreshing and very different from your usual cold brew. The Daydream Flat White had a nice flavor, but the lemon notes were a bit strong for my taste. Still enjoyable, just could have been a bit more balanced. Food-wise, we went with the Rosemary Lemon Scone and the Savory Bites. Both were fresh and flavorful--definitely recommend. Overall, a great experience in a unique setting. Worth a visit if you're in Rochester and love a good coffee shop with character. read more

So adorable and cozy - i am a caregiver and at Mary Bright building for 4 days - then to find this? What an unexpected treasure that I didn't realize I totally required. What a clever idea to partner with a Garden Store. AND the staff is very kind. 6 stars!! read more

Literally the best latte I've had to date. That's a rather bold claim coming from a prior barista who is very particular about coffee! Their espresso is amazing and the flavors they offer complement the coffee instead of masking it. The cherry on top is the super cute plant store that they are located in! read more

Warm welcoming coffee and staff. So enjoyed relaxing with my book, coffee, and the plants.

Are you kidding? I'm obsessed. A coffee shop in a nursery is a definite vibe. I got the Pão de queijo... I may dream about them... will be back for those. Their honey latte (locally sourced) is so good. Yum. 1000/10 stop here, you won't be disappointed... also they have the biggest, baddest, most beautiful hanging fern I've seen. read more

Super cute place -- I'm glad my colleague recommended this! I went for one of their summer specials: the lavender honey sparkling lemonade. It was good, but very, very sweet. I couldn't finish it all because it was too sweet (but I'm not a big sweet tooth). It is also a bit pricy for some items, but the ambiance is awesome, and there's plenty of space to sit inside or outside in the greenhouse area to get some work done. If I lived here, I'm sure I would be here all the time. I wish Chicago had a space like this! read more

Stopped by to give their empanadas a try. I was a bit shocked at the size, they were so tiny-- bite sized empanadas. I had the goat cheese & tomato one and I highly recommend it. So good. The chai latte was good too. I find the coffee shop to be cute, love that there are lots of plants and light. Its definitely on the pricey side, but I rather give them my $ than to a chain coffee shop. I would come by again if I'm ever in town, probably just for coffee. Edit: I was charged extra for the oat milk, which marked the price up by few cents plus the 20% tip-- It wasn't the empanada that was $6 it was only $4 as owner specified :) read more

Great ambiance, loved the greenery around the coffee shop. Makes for a great area to sit down and spend an extended period of time. Enjoyed the latte, the espresso was pulled incredibly well. Was not a fan of the horchata cold brew. Was expensive and quietly honestly one of the worst drinks I've ever had. Lost a star for me just from that alone. I'd stick to their regular coffee. read more

Five stars! Love the ambiance of a nursery and plants! I hate that I love this place so much cuz it's kinda hipster, but what can I say - this is my basic white girl place & I'm unashamedly guna promote it!! Love a good lavender latte, iced mocha, or a London fog. Delicious cookies too! read more

I had to laugh when my son said that this was the place he wanted to go for his birthday lunch. I had offered anywhere in Rochester. But he comes here for coffee and food several days per week. He raves about the coffee. It is primarily a coffee shop. Service was great, friendly and funny too. Sort of like stopping by a friends house for snacks. The hot chocolate (with extra chocolate) was excellent. We had the empanadas and they were excellent too. Buy the sauce. I wasn't expecting much but they really were excellent. 5 stars because it is such a welcoming place and despite a limited menu, they make excellent food. I wish there were more spots like this. And the plants are an added bonus. read more

I want to love this place, because the ambience and atmosphere are lovely (plants from Sargent's!) and everything is thoughtful and intentional, but I gave 2 stars instead of 4 because I cannot reconcile the egregiously high prices -- $6.50 for a 12oz latte with no flavor -- with the quality, which is mediocre at best. The prices are just unacceptable and frankly insulting. The base price is set unjustifiably high, everything above and beyond is an up-charge, and 12oz is considered a "large". Prices aren't even this high in NYC, DC, LA, or Seattle. I find it really concerning that establishments in Rochester think it's ok to set a price point this high simply because of the Mayo Clinic and the captive population that resides or visits here, but as long as people are willing to pay the premium, businesses won't price reasonably and I see this as a fundamental problem. read more

Very cool use of space, pretty good espresso, slow as molasses. You can order, cruise the whole greenhouse and your drink still won't be ready. You can order, drive down the street and fill your car with gas and your drink still won't be ready. You could order, buy patio furniture next door and your drink stiiiillll won't be ready. Literally 10-15 minutes. read more

The matcha latte was very refreshing while enjoying the ambiance of Sargent's Greenhouse. I do wish that the matcha was not as grainy as it was when served. Maybe the powder needed a bit more whisking. The flavor was great! read more

Lovely place to chill and enjoy a very tasty Chai Latte, friendly staff - inviting atmosphere, sadly I have yet to try the empanadas (always get there too late) But did enjoy other delicacies. Parking is a breeze and location is great. Love that one is surrounded by plants and garden ornaments, makes sitting there on a winters day much more pleasant. My husband had a hot chocolate and actually enjoyed it (he is VERY picky) Thanks for thinking of us souls who love to go for 'coffee' and just want to sit and chat and relax, this would be the perfect venue. read more

Owners are super friendly. Best latte in Rochester. Truly good coffee /coffee drinks. Great pastries -particularly the salted chocolate chip cookie. Baristas that remember your name and order and greet you like matter to them. Only downsides are ... A bit pricey for everyday and PLEASE add a larger size - sometimes you want/need an extra large! read more

We went here for a working day in a coffee shop and it's the nicest place to sit and work for a few hours. There is a nice, large parking lot out front and the cafe itself is located within a plant nursery. In order to get to the cafe, you get to walk through a local plant shop. The cafe itself is really pretty with large windows with lots of sunlight streaming through. They had a variety of pumpkin and fall flavors but I went with the trusty chai latte which was really nice. My partner went with the dirty chai (chai latte with a shot of espresso). Both were good! There were a lot of outlets and all the seats by the wall. Overall, a nice change of scenery and a productive day! read more

This place is a wonderful little coffee shop located inside of Sargeant's. Plenty of seating inside and outside and they have a nice menu of coffee drinks (including nitro cold brew) and ice cream that they get from a creamery in Wisconsin. We got the adffogato as well as the cold brew. The coffee was really nice and the quality was better for the same price point than some of the other coffee shops in town. Also the service was great and everyone was very nice! Will definitely be back! read more

Such a picture perfect little spot. I love that you can sit in the greenhouse and all the natural light from the sunroof in the cafe. The iced latte was perfection and I enjoyed the salted chocolate chip cookie. I would say the service is incredibly nice but they are not efficient in moving the line forward on a busy Saturday. The cashier didn't help provide guidance to move customer choices forward and that made the line move incredibly slow. But my drink still came out quickly. read more

Really fun holiday open house, smores, Santa, live music. The coffee was awesome too. Hope they do it every year.

We look forward to coming here with our dog every weekend. The staff are wonderful and always deliver his pup-cup by hand. Such a sweet dog friendly spot in town. A great place for humans too! We love our almond milk lattes and pao de qiejo (brazillian cheesy bread bites mmm). The ambience of the surrounding greenhouse is an added bonus! read more

The coffee tastes good, however, their undersized drinks and food are WAY over priced. Their small coffee is about the size of a Dixie cup and their large is about the size of a normal coffee shops small drink (yet costs $6.) They sell two-bite empanadas for $4.00. Offering 2% or nonfat milk would also be a good thing... read more

the inside was super nice but matcha was not good color was grey and syrup was grainy

What a cool spot for a winter day! In the back of the greenhouse, I followed the sound of plucking guitars to a back corner with tables where I enjoyed my tea and scone. The scone was delicious and the service was quick. The ambience was to die for, I could have spent all day here. read more
