Stopped in because I was at discount tire across the street. We waited at the window for a long time, drove around to the other window. Still waited, went back to the other One waited more thought the place was closed, but the open sign was on. We seen employee sitting on the floor playing on their phones. ( did not see them wash their hands before making our stuff.) We had to knock on the window to get attention. Employees were not the most pleasant but the coffee was half halfway decent.

    Iced honey lavender latte!

I stopped by here this past Sunday morning with my wife for our morning coffees. Lumen is located in the same strip mall as Walmart (much further back though) and is a drive through coffee shop. Actually getting in and out of the place doesn't exactly feel intuitive even if it's not terribly difficult. Since it's a drive through coffee shop there's not much to say about the building other than it had two windows which you can order from. For my coffee on this morning I departed from my usual Americano whenever one of their specials, a honey lavender latte caught my eye. Since it was hot out on this day I also decided to get it iced. After a couple of minutes wait I was soon on my way with coffee in hand. Whenever I first tried it I really enjoyed it! There was a hint of coffee flavor to it but the real stars were the sweetness from the honey and the nicely muted flavor of lavender. As a matter of a fact I liked it enough that it was quickly gone and I was left wishing for some more. The bottom line for me is that I would head to Lumen again in the future. Even though their drive thru layout isn't the most intuitive my coffee here was really good.

One of my favorites for the morning joe. My fav is the Americana. They have lots of different and unusual choices though.

Love having a drive-thru coffee place in Northwest Rochester! Their coffee is great, and I love that they offer Daube donuts as well!

A friend highly recommended Forager Cafe, which is why I went there with high expectations. Hmmmm,…read morehow can I say this....I was disappointed. I ordered their black and tan beer. A tasty choice (check out the photo). Then I asked for a reuben sandwich with a side of fries. I really liked the two-tone rye bread. There was modest amount of corned beef. Notice I didn't say 'generous.' The kraut, Swiss cheese, and thousand island dressing were a solid compliment. BUT the fries.... Check out the photo and look at the fries. These were double dunked in oil, greasy and sogged out, slightly charred, and meh tasting. I looked over at another patron's plate of food and saw her fries looked perfect. Golden, single dunk in oil, and crisp. Can I add a sad face emoji here? I called over the bartender and had him look at my fries, then look at the other patron's, and tell me the difference. He saw what I saw. I told him what was wrong with mine and asked why. He apologized and said he'd take 50% off my food bill. I saw him go back to the kitchen and have a conversation about my fries, which I appreciated. He didn't blow me off and let the kitchen know they dropped the ball. I've eaten at a lot of places from dives to fine dining, and I think the sign of good eatery is one that can excel at the basics.....like french fries. Plus, when you have your "A" staff working in the kitchen, but your staff sends out subpar fries to a customer...what does that say about the kitchen staff and leadership? Will I go back? Not sure, but there other places I've eaten at in Rochester that are consistently good. If I ever have family or friends in town and we go out to eat, we're not going to Forager Cafe.

We met some friends here for supper on Friday evening and were seated right away. Our server was…read morefriendly, attentive, made some good suggestions. The food was good, fresh and tasty. My only complaint was the size of the side salad that I ordered with my burger. It was by far the smallest side salad that I have received at any food establishment. In fact, I honestly thought it was a joke. Overall, the service was amazing the food was good. There was live entertainment there that evening and the performance was good, however when the volume is such that you cannot have a conversation with the people at your table, it's a bit too loud. I must be turning into my parents.

I only stopped at the counter, checked out the offerings, and picked up a few things to go. The place was nice and charming but the seating didn't look too comfortable. Decided to give this place a try after being in the area. Quick review: Food was VERY tasty!…read moreService and ambiance... definitely lacking.... I walked in and saw you could either order on a large touch screen on with a person at the front. I don't mind touch screens, so I went to start my order. The problem is that there are no pictures... so you're not 100% sure what you are ordering. I stopped the order and walked over to the case to order with the employee instead. There was one woman in front of me and she got her items quickly. I ordered 5 items. (See pic below) All of them were fantastic! I really do judge a place by how well they can do a croissant, and this place does them very well!! The employees were very polite but for some reason my order took almost 15 mins to fill... I watched them pull the items from the case, so I'm not sure why it took them so long to do the order. There was only one other person who ordered after me and she had a drink and a box of pastries too... she received her items first. As for the space, it is bland and feels like an old Carribou coffee.... There really wasn't anything that felt "Paris or French" here. Very bland and not very cozy. If you plan on going(the food was very good) order it to go...
