Cute cafe in the back of a bike shop with coffee, crepes, sandwiches, and some other light food. You order at the bar and they call your name when the food is ready. I backed their Indiegogo campaign over a year ago and still haven't gotten the stuff I ordered. I decided to at least get my coffee and crepe. I'll say that I'm not too happy with the communication from the bike shop/cafe. At this point I doubt I'll ever get the hat and bike jersey. The coffee is from Wonderstate and is excellent. The Caprese crepe was "ok". Tons of filler with a few mozzarella pearls and 2-3 cherry tomatoes. The balsamic wasn't very flavorful despite having enough to make the crepe slightly soggy. I'm still waiting on my crowfunding purchase but don't think I'll be back to the cafe for food.

Had the fruit & yogurt parfait - excellent (and very hearty). Can't beat dining with Zen

    Zen :)

One of the cutest cafes I have ever been to! Such a kind and welcoming environment- the staff was very nice and down to earth. There is also a dog (Zen) who will do tricks for treats! He is super friendly and brightened up my day. I had the whip and berry crepes made gluten free, and they were spectacular. I also tried some of the yogurt parfait which completely exceeded my expectations- so delicious! Coffee is great too- I had a latte and it was awesome. Definitely make sure to give Raven's Nest a try next time you're in Northfield!

Spontaneously drove down to Northfield. Walked along the River for a little bit on a sunny (COLD) Saturday. Meandered on to Main Street and then saw a sandwich board alerting us to crepes and coffee at "The Raven's Nest". Co-located with a bike shop but two distinct operations. We decided a snack would be great! From conversations around me, I gather this establishment recently opened. I could not find it on Yelp, so I set it up. The menu had a variety of savory and sweet crepes and nice selection of coffee and tea options. They feature coffees roasted by Wonderstate Coffee. I ordered the Lox and Dill savory crepe and a dark roast coffee. My better half ordered a lemon curd blueberry sweet crepe and a decaf mocha. We sat down a the throw back era tables. The establishment has two crepe plates and you can watch and drool whilst they conjure up your crepe delight! We were both satisfied and enjoyed our crepes and beverages! We'll be back to try more of their creations!! Staff were WONDERFUL and helpful. Hint: if you get the lox and dill crepe be CERTAIN to eat the pickled carrot garnish!!! Wow- yummy! Cheers!

We started our order with bubbles and at the register taking our order was Moriah. She was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. We ordered the Croque Madame and bubbles and sat and waited for our food. About 15 minutes later Moriah brought our food out and greeted us and made us feel very welcomed. We then found out she was the General Manager. We were very impressed that the leadership here leads by example and they step up and do every job. She was a server, at the register and cleaned tables. This is rare these days and not only that she was very high energy and very welcoming. We plan to make another trip to try more items on the menu the food was fantastic and the portion sizes were generous. They also have a beautiful outdoor area.

Our patience ended when it exceeded 35 minutes for only two crêpes. We went up to the front register twice. The response was just five more minutes. Multiple tables that ordered after us receive their meals and yet we waited. Talk to the manager who claimed that 30+ minute wait is very normal. Well, it's not for us. They were unable to print any receipt to confirm a refund. We will wait for Visa to ensure that our money was refunded.

We were the only ones there at the time. The staff did not seem to want to be there and after my sister and I ordered, one of the two employees just went on break. So it took a fair amount of time to get our food. Staff wasn't rude but definitely didn't go out of their way to be friendly. The food: The waffle bites, Nutella crepe, and fruit salad were all tasty! Note: the longer you wait to eat, the chocolate solidifies! By the end we were just scraping the chocolate off the plates. The chocolate was very tasty!! The prices are a bit ridiculous in my opinion. It's delicious no doubt. But the service needs an upgrade and the prices need to be dropped a little.

It was also smothered in sauce. Lots of sugar, so I'm glad we shared one and so is my wallet. It did come with fruit more than I expected based on the listing on the menu. It was a pretty good size so that was good but I got to say spending $20 on a single crêpe felt way overpriced. I was expecting somewhere in the $12-$13 range. I would definitely say it's overpriced. The interior was pretty nice and clean self service as far as putting away your own tray and garbage which is no big deal. There was a couch seating area, which is pretty nice and then then the other side was more like diner tables so kind of a weird vibe inside. I don't do this often but honestly, I can't say I would recommend this place mostly just because of the price.

The young man at the counter offered me an extensive menu of regular coffees, espresso drinks and specialty drinks, all of which could be made hot or cold. They also have a variety of milk selections. Unfortunately, they were out of skim milk today, but he offered to tweak the amount when I told him that the main reason I usually had skim milk was to enhance the coffee flavor(and their coffee really tasted good). Additionally, he offered to make my drink in my personal cup which was great since I hate to use plastic whenever I can. This location is only a half block from United Hospital and all its various buildings and there is no good coffee within that entire complex. It's definitely worth getting a breath of fresh air and taking a block and a half stroll to have a great cup of Joe! By the way, although I tried hard not to look, their pastry case looked scrumptious, filled with homemade pies by the slice and other goodies. Since they are so close to the hospital it's really nice that they also have a lovely display of fresh cut flowers. Next time I'm down here I'm going to stop in for a meal. If the food is as good as the coffee I think I'll become a regular.

There was definitely a good cheese pull. My only feedback would be this would be wholly elevated with some spices, egg, and fresh mushrooms. Service 5/5: these are made once ordered. They gave me a buzzer so I could walk around the market instead of waiting at their stand. Overall was a great experience. They have a lot of great sweet options, and I'd love to see more savory especially for breakfast. Would also be wonderful if they handed it over in a way that you could eat on the go instead of having to sit down and use a fork/knives. A must try at the Minneapolis farmers market!

They are all fresh made and on a busy Saturday you can expect to wait 10-15 min (or more) depending on the line but it is worth it. One thing I did notice recently is that they had additional Crêpe plates that weren't being used so they may have been short staffed which led to a slightly longer wait. The family that owns the stand moves quickly and is so helpful when taking, making and delivering your order. Just have a little patience and realize that if someone in your part is getting food from another stand, they might be done eating before you get theirs. Our crepe of choice is the mixed berry and it is so yummy but every crepe coming off the plates looked equally delicious.
