My sister and I are not vegans, but we stopped here for breakfast several days in a row on our way to the Mayo Clinic earlier this year purely out of curiosity. We purchased almost all the flavors to bring to the hospital for our family to try, and the consensus was that the ube and the plum lime were possibly the most delicious donuts we've had anywhere! Definitely a brunch spot that many people visit morning/lunchtime. We ordered the Hollandberry Burger and swapped the fries for onion rings (+$2), and also got the Bacon Smoked Gouda Burger with regular fries. Both burgers were ordered medium rare, but the Smoked Gouda Burger came out closer to medium/well done, making it a bit dry. The service was a letdown. Water is served in small mason jars, and ours was never refilled until we requested water after being there for an hour. We also requested sauce. Both never arrived until our table asked for it a second time which took about 10 minutes later to get to us. To top it off, we were handed to go boxes while we were still eating. We realized a table nearby asked for boxes and had been waiting for it to leave. The experience felt a little disorganized. Would I come back? Maybe, but I'd probably skip the burgers and try one of the pannekoeken instead if I'm feeling something sweet, since that's what Hollandberry is really known for.
