I truly love a mom and pop coffee shop! This one definitely did not disappoint! The employees were friendly and helpful with explanations. It was busy here on a Thursday morning at 9:30. They have tables inside and outside for seating. I was surprised to see breakfast sandwiches and burritos on the menu. I tried a Jamaican Cool Brew with Sugar Free Almond and a Bacon and Egg Burrito with Guacamole. The food and drink were delicious! When I took the photo I had already eaten 1/2 of it. So.... We saw this very cool looking coffee shop driving around Rochester yesterday. So my lady friend and I finished breakfast downtown and thought hey let's get a beverage up there. Drove through MOKA on my way out of Rochester and it was the perfect spot for a mid afternoon pick-me-up. I got a medium iced lavender honey latte, a seasonal drink. This was sooo tasty and refreshing with the right amount of espresso. It was right around $4 too so not a bad price at all. They're drive through only and they're quick! read more

Theirs is by far the best coffee I've had. I wish they had one of those inside Mayo Clinic campus. I've tried their White mocha and black and white mocha and both of them were 5/5. It is an exclusively drive thru location, and the service is very quick! The iced coffee isn't too watery like most of the places. They happily make a new drink for you if you don't like what u ordered or if it doesn't taste the same. The people who work there are super nice and greet you with a smile. The prices aren't bad at all. Most 12 oz handcrafted coffees are between $1.80-4. I'll go back to them every time I'm in Rochester! read more

Moka is a favorite spot in Rochester. Visiting family there is always accompanied by a daily visit to Mocha. Super nice staff and great coffee. It's drive through only and service is fast. Amidst the Starbucks and Caribu Coffees that are everywhere this is a really cool change of pace. read more

The best coffee in Rochester. Local company from the Wisconsin/Minnesota region. The Jamaican roast is one of the smoothest and most flavorful coffees I've ever had. The people are very friendly and the service is great. Moka works as a drive through coffee shop, but it makes some of the best coffees. So the coffee is great, but it's not a sit down and meet up with friends kind of coffee shop. read more

It was a typical brutal winter morning with my car thermometer displaying negative temperatures and snowflakes mercilessly assaulting the windshield as I waited in line at Moka's drive thru. Suddenly, I was brought out of my internal debate on whether today was the day my body would succumb to the cold or not, surprised to see a barista had come out of the safety and warmth of the little coffee hut to take my order. Yes, that's right, in the negative degree weather and actively assaulting snowstorm the barista walked through the snow to my car window so that they could get started on my drink order sooner. To this day, 2 years later and in a marginally warmer city, I am speechless. This story is just a small anecdote to display how this company treats it's customers. Moka has that intangible way of warming a customers heart in addition to serving a warm cup of joe. I have since moved to another city, but always find myself missing Moka when I think fondly of Rochester, MN. read more
