Had a Sunday breakfast at Benedict's Morning Heroes and it was a great experience. It's a little tough to find the first time - tucked up in the skyway - but that almost adds to it. Once you're in, it's a really cool space. Bright, energetic, a lot going on in a good way. You've got that steady breakfast crowd, coffee flowing, plates coming out - a fun place to sit and take it all in for a while. I ordered the Nordeaster lobster Benedict with hashbrowns and it was excellent. Big chunks of lobster, perfectly poached eggs, and a rich hollandaise that didn't overpower everything. The hash browns were crispy - just the way I like them. It's one of those meals where every bite is just...really good. You catch yourself slowing down because you don't want it to be over. The meal and experience were really, really good the whole way through. Coffee was solid too - kept it coming and it did the job. Overall, easy 5 stars. We had an amazing breakfast here! Don't let this slightly out-of-the-way location deter you. This was an awesome breakfast spot and the restaurant is pretty adorable. We had the sharable monkey bread (wish it had more cinnamon, but that's my personal preference). My wife had The Standard and the eggs were cooked perfectly (over medium) with bacon, breakfast potatoes, and sourdough. She's not really a breakfast potato person, but I kept reaching across the table to nab her perfectly twice fried hunks of deliciousness. I had the Chorizo & Cheese Tot Hash. I was a little surprised that it came with four (giant) tots, but once cut up it didn't matter. The chorizo was... odd. I'm from L.A. and whatever this chorizo was it wasn't made with the traditional seasonings I would expect from a chorizo. Nonetheless, it was absolutely delicious and I ate every bite. The sauce really put the whole thing over the edge. Can't wait to come back and try something different to explore the menu further on our next visit to Rochester. read more

It's located downtown Rochester, Second floor in the skyway of The Hilton Hotel. Not sure how easy parking would have been as we had a courtesy vehicle drop us off. I came here on a Saturday morning to try it out after seeing them on the Rochester Restaurant Week list. They were very busy given it was the weekend! I was seated at the bar and got the monkey bread and California Benedict based on the menu. I thought it was good in terms of how quickly it came out and the peppers were definitely spicy and gave the Benedict some flavor for sure. The monkey bread was just a bit sweet for me but it was so fluffy and well made overall. Overall the lighting was great and I appreciated the Bob Ross bobblehead in front of me keeping me company. This restaurant is owned by a true chef owner & just happens to be located in the new Hilton 2nd floor. I've been coming to this hotel for months and seriously regret not having tried Benedict's in person sooner. I've had the food through room service, which was fine but seeing it fresh and close in person is so much better. I'm Splurging at the end of cancer treatment and getting the butter pot lobster Benedict with avocado and old Bay hollandaise. My husband is getting the corned beef hash with braised cabbage, smoked green onion mustard and two eggs over easy. The chai latte is delicious and served at a breakfast bar, which is super fun. The ambience is a modern Mel's diner vibe with an African art shop & spa right outside the door. The food was better than expected. My husband ate every bite! We both loved the tater barrels. I ended up getting avocado toast (no egg, obviously) with a side of sweet potato home fries. It was about $16 for the plate. The toast was good, as were the potatoes, although the toast was a little puny (maybe because I didn't have the egg). I'm used to seeing avocado toast piled high with toppings. It was tasty though. I don't know if I would necessarily come back here as my top choice, as the avocado toast is really the only meal that is vegan friendly and there are other places where avocado toast is cheaper, but the convenience and service were great. As a local, I like to come here on weekday or Sunday mornings. I prefer to sit at the bar and enjoy a cup of warm coffee and a small breakfast. The bar staff is very attentive to the guests and offer to warm up your cup without being asked. The bar is U shaped and there is a TV located on one of the sides. As a solo guest, I think the ambiance would be better if there was a TV located somewhere the entire room could see it or have more seating in that area. I went in to watch the inauguration and was not able to see the TV from the opposite side of the bar. I waited until guests left before moving to the other side with my food and drink. read more

My husband and I tried the Jimmy special and Corned Beef Tot Hash. The hashbrowns were well seasoned; I've had unseasoned hashbrowns and those are terrible, so now I am very sensitive to the seasoning for hashbrowns. The corned beef tot hash was AMAZING! 3 is ONLY because the food was edible and the waitres was good, BUT the food was just ok and she should have told us about the extra gravy cost. Three of us ate: monkey bread with both toppings, pancakes, eggs, hot honey Benedict, biscuits n gravy, bacon. Bacon was raw. Out of 3 different types of eggs, the poached were the only ones cooked perfectly, so that was good. Other 2 were undercooked. Gravy, while quite full of the chicken sausage, was dry, not enough actual gravy and you couldn't even tell there was a biscuit in it. Asked for more "gravy", which did come wetter, we were charged $4.00 for about 3oz of gravy and were NOT told when we asked for it. So, while it did make my meal slightly better, it reduced the waitresses tip and caused me to write a very honest review. I wouldn't have written a review at all complaining about the "OK" food. That was not ok! $90 for 3 people to eat OK breakfast, ridiculous! Will not return. Much better option down the road. Sucks cause this is where I chose for my birthday breakfast while in town for cancer treatments. Oh well! Lol Monkey bread in pic. Looks better than it tastes.
