    Lobster Benedict

Best breakfast we've had in along time and we eat out a lot. The flavors and presentation were upscale, while prices were reasonable. It's located downtown Rochester, Second floor in the skyway of The Hilton Hotel. Not sure how easy parking would have been as we had a courtesy vehicle drop us off. We'd definitely revisit!

My third visit to Benedict's in the last two years. I look forward to breakfast here when in town! Service is friendly and excellent, parking is super convenient in the garage, menu is modern and satisfying, and this time we really loved the Huevos Rancheros, and the monkey bread is a treat not to miss with your coffee!

I always enjoy my breakfast at Benedict's. Great food and friendly staff. The French toast was painted with friendly little clouds of whipped cream.

I came here on a Saturday morning to try it out after seeing them on the Rochester Restaurant Week list. They were very busy given it was the weekend! I was seated at the bar and got the monkey bread and California Benedict based on the menu. I thought it was good in terms of how quickly it came out and the peppers were definitely spicy and gave the Benedict some flavor for sure. The monkey bread was just a bit sweet for me but it was so fluffy and well made overall. Overall the lighting was great and I appreciated the Bob Ross bobblehead in front of me keeping me company. Definitely would want to come back here with a friend rather than alone but it hit the spot for a quick brunch I needed. :)

Bennie's and lattes were delicious! Service was speedy! Inside was very cute. Just an odd entrance if coming from the street, had to enter through the hotel lobby and go upstairs to the entrance.

This restaurant is owned by a true chef owner & just happens to be located in the new Hilton 2nd floor. I've been coming to this hotel for months and seriously regret not having tried Benedict's in person sooner. I've had the food through room service, which was fine but seeing it fresh and close in person is so much better. I'm Splurging at the end of cancer treatment and getting the butter pot lobster Benedict with avocado and old Bay hollandaise. My husband is getting the corned beef hash with braised cabbage, smoked green onion mustard and two eggs over easy. The chai latte is delicious and served at a breakfast bar, which is super fun. The ambience is a modern Mel's diner vibe with an African art shop & spa right outside the door. The food was better than expected. My husband ate every bite! We both loved the tater barrels. (So fun & whimsical like several other brunch items) Great choice for brunch with cocktails and friends!! Worth the trip!

One of the reviews caught my eye - "how is this any different than Perkins?" Ambiance was great, was a bit busy (so plan ahead), and prices were a bit steep for some breakfast food. It was also a bit challenging to find location wise if you were not staying in the hotel itself. The statement holds true as there wasn't really anything that makes this place stand out. Agreed that the food was a-ok, but it was missing the "Wow" factor. Service was very slow, the chips that came with the meal were soggy, and they completely missed a side dish that my dad had ordered. Ordered - Brunch Burger (3/5). It was better than McDonalds but not at a level you would see at other places offering "premium" versions of this American classic Would I be back? Possibly, but to try perhaps their more traditional breakfast options.

3.5 stars. Benedict's is in the hotel where I was staying so it was super convenient. The service was great -- my server was very sweet. I came in around 6:45am for a quick breakfast before heading to a work meeting. I do try to keep vegan whenever possible (except cheese sometimes), so finding breakfast options that were walkable was a challenge. I figured I could make it work at Benedict's. I ended up getting avocado toast (no egg, obviously) with a side of sweet potato home fries. It was about $16 for the plate. The toast was good, as were the potatoes, although the toast was a little puny (maybe because I didn't have the egg). I'm used to seeing avocado toast piled high with toppings. It was tasty though. I don't know if I would necessarily come back here as my top choice, as the avocado toast is really the only meal that is vegan friendly and there are other places where avocado toast is cheaper, but the convenience and service were great. I did like that sweet potatoes were an option, as I don't usually see that on a menu. The pancakes and things other people were ordering looked great, too.

    Mini Donuts with Nutella

The ambiance is a nice casual vibe with an artsy feel. The service was pretty good but wish they had a menu of their restaurant week specials. I wanted to love the donuts but it didn't taste like a donut. It is more like a fried ball that is a bit over cooked. The inside is nice. It's not a bad taste. The Nutella on the side is nice but I wish the Nutella was inside it. It's unique. If you like a crispy caramelized dough ball, this would fit the bill. There's some great options here. This just wasn't my favorite

The spot was buzzing on a Saturday morning, so I decided to check it out based on the great reviews. I tried the Pesto Chicken Breakfast and Smoked Trout Benedict. While the food was decent, nothing stood out as particularly memorable. For me, it didn't quite live up to the hype, and I wouldn't wait in line again to eat here. That said, it might be worth a visit if you're nearby and craving breakfast staples in a lively atmosphere. Would I recommend it? Sure not much else around.

Went here to celebrate my anniversary with my wife. The food was delectable. Our favorite star of…read morethe show was the Duck Drummies, the sauce paired well with the meat. Just wanted a bit more sauce. The salmon was cooked well with a crispy skin underneath. Flavors played together nicely with the textures. We enjoyed the dessert as the textures (there's a theme here) had great interplay with the flavors in the dish. Only wish that pastry was hot. The ambience is nice and chill. It can feel a bit cramped but gives kinda a speakeasy vibe meets hipster. Note that finding parking is a bit challenging here. There are two booths on the window that would make excellent date spots. The reason for the rating is due to the service. I made a reservation for the spot and made reference to it being our anniversary. However, nothing was done to reference the reason for the dinner. I had never been there and didn't know about the booth availability. The place was busy but we didn't get much attention (menus were left on the table, didn't get small plates to eat the Drummies properly, got one refill of water toward the end, etc). I felt bad about this rating because I've read people enjoying the experience. However, this is what I experienced. The food is great. Service could be better.

Looks like they change the recipe throughout the seasons. Save room for dessert. We ordered the fresh baked cookies. Thats right, fresh baked cookies. Baked when you ordered them. Loved it! So happy with our visit to Bleu Duck. We will be back on our next trip to Rochester.

She never left us waiting for service and offered some great suggestions on the menu. While we know this is a brewery, they also serve batch cocktails, instead of a full bar. We started with their version of an old fashioned, which wasn't our first choice but they were actually tasty albeit a bit sweet. Since the weather was below 0, I craved something hot and comforting. I ordered the Beef Stroganoff which was tasty. Included braised local beef, mushrooms, onions, garlic, parmesan, cream sauce, dill, house-made fettuccini, topped with sour cream. The sauce was light so you didn't feel like it weighed you down. My husband ordered the birria tacos. Beef brisket, white onions, mozzarella, cilantro, corn tortilla, green salsa, beef broth, lime Although they were tasty, they were quite greasy. Prices were reasonable. I would come back again and try the pizza.

A friend highly recommended Forager Cafe, which is why I went there with high expectations. Hmmmm,…read morehow can I say this....I was disappointed. I ordered their black and tan beer. A tasty choice (check out the photo). Then I asked for a reuben sandwich with a side of fries. I really liked the two-tone rye bread. There was modest amount of corned beef. Notice I didn't say 'generous.' The kraut, Swiss cheese, and thousand island dressing were a solid compliment. BUT the fries.... Check out the photo and look at the fries. These were double dunked in oil, greasy and sogged out, slightly charred, and meh tasting. I looked over at another patron's plate of food and saw her fries looked perfect. Golden, single dunk in oil, and crisp. Can I add a sad face emoji here? I called over the bartender and had him look at my fries, then look at the other patron's, and tell me the difference. He saw what I saw. I told him what was wrong with mine and asked why. He apologized and said he'd take 50% off my food bill. I saw him go back to the kitchen and have a conversation about my fries, which I appreciated. He didn't blow me off and let the kitchen know they dropped the ball. I've eaten at a lot of places from dives to fine dining, and I think the sign of good eatery is one that can excel at the basics.....like french fries. Plus, when you have your "A" staff working in the kitchen, but your staff sends out subpar fries to a customer...what does that say about the kitchen staff and leadership? Will I go back? Not sure, but there other places I've eaten at in Rochester that are consistently good. If I ever have family or friends in town and we go out to eat, we're not going to Forager Cafe.
