Celebrated my bestfriend's birthday at Ca Bianca and it couldn't have been a better choice. The space itself does feel a little dated, but in a charming, classy old school way. It feels warm and intimate rather than trendy and overstimulating. For dinner I ordered the lobster ravioli special, super rich, definitely on the heavier side, but sooo delicious. I ate ALL of it and felt guilty after but it was worth every calorie. I skipped alcohol this night, but looking back at these photos I kind of wish I had ordered a glass of wine to go with it because it would have paired perfectly. The food was delicious and the space was perfect for the occasion but the servers and bussers really went above and beyond to help with the festivities. They were so attentive and thoughtful throughout the entire meal. One of the best service experiences I've had in a while. Overall 10/10. I came during winter but swear to be back during summer to enjoy the lovely patio seating and update this review...

Stepping into CaBianca's is like stepping back in time. This restaurant is in an 1876 victorian mansion. The attention to detail in this restaurant can't be missed from the architecture down to the roses that adore the tables. The food highlights the northern region of Italy. I had the Carbonara with spaghettini, pancetta, shallots, cream, eggs and pecorino along with an Isola margarita. They have a vast wine list that includes Italian wines along with local wines from Napa and Sonoma County. You can also bring your own wine for a 15.00 corkage fee. The service was prompt and attentive while also giving us time to visit. This restaurant has the perfect space for an intimate dinner to a private event. Our party noted they went to a baby shower in their outside garden. This restaurant shouldn't be missed if you visit Sonoma County.

We have been many times over the years but this may have been our best meal there. Excellent bread with olive oil and balsamic was brought out as usual. The appetizers were all excellent and quite large; Dungeness Crab Cake special, the Impepata was so good, full of clams and mussels, I brought the broth home to make a crab bisque, and the Carpaccio was also excellent. We all shared Caesar salads which was very tasty and just the right size as we had ordered appetizers. The entrees were uniformly excellent, Pork Chop, Pasta Carbonara, and the Pasta Funghi. I'm not a vegetarian by any means but the Pasta Funghi was outstanding. To full for dessert. Prices are actually very reasonable for this area and this quality and Jorge was a delightful waiter.

It's hard to find really good Italian food in this area, but Ca Bianca is definitely up there with places I really like. I ordered the carbonara and a limoncello drop, and both were really good. Service was great, too. I loved the cozy, at-home feeling of the old Victorian house. I already made a mental note to come back in the summer, they have tables on the porch, and sitting out there on a warm evening sounds perfect. I'd love to come back and try another dish.

I returned here with my fiancé and, of course, felt deeply moved by its beauty and ambiance. Ca Bianca is truly unique in its setting and is a special place for that reason alone. It is romantic and captivating as it is in an old Victorian home. Service was prompt and efficient and we enjoyed our fresh pastas for Valentines weekend. Cannot wait to return in the summer to have a meal in their enchanted garden.

Such a charming Italian restaurant located in downtown Santa Rosa for more than 25 years. It's in a beautiful Victorian house that was built in 1876. They offer house made bread (served with olive oil and vinegar) as well house made pasta. Ingredients are fresh, local and organic. The cuisine is authentic Italian from various regions of Italy. We came here for a holiday family dinner and had an exceptional experience. There were 3 orders of carbonara and I ordered the butternut squash ravioli. We all finished our plates. The complimentary bread was so soft and I love dipping it in the oil and vinegar- delicious! They have an extensive wine list and some craft cocktails. The Italian lemon drop with a sugar rim went nicely with the ravioli. The service was great - everyone was friendly and very attentive. I need to get here more often- it's a gem.

Solid Italian restaurant in Santa Rosa. I was visiting for a work trip, and we were here for dinner. The restaurant is a historic Victorian home - beautiful and fitting. The staff are really friendly. Everything we ordered was delicious, from the gnocchi to carbonara pasta to chocolate ice cream. Everything was great. I highly recommend this restaurant to those visiting the area.

Really great Italian food + the garden is beautifullllll Our hotel recommended this place, and it was a short walk from downtown Santa Rosa! The restaurant is in a unique Victorian house -- I loveeee the garden entrance and also the garden patio (highly recommend to request to sit here). Very romantic!! Love the ambiance and vibes (: Dog friendly as well! There's also covered patio seating, a bar area/ seating, and traditional seating inside the house. We ordered FUNGHI PASTA + FRUTTI DI MARE PASTA, we finished every bite!! That's when you know it's good! I believe the tagliolini pasta (which is in those 2 pastas) is house made, and some pastas are not housemade. So definitely get the house made pasta! Service was friendly and seemed very well versed. Highly recommend this place for special occasions or a romantic date night!

We had a lovely time here! The dinner and dessert were delicious! Very rich, flavorful, and felt like we were having a special Italian dinner, because we were. The service and atmosphere added to this experience beautifully! We originally were going to eat indoors, but it was a beautiful evening and they had recently opened the patio, so the waiter kindly reseated us at a very nice table under the beautiful trees on their patio seating! It was truly a lovely experience and evening.

I didn't realize Ca Bianca was a 19th century home! It looked beautiful with lights all around the plants, and inside was just as beautiful. S E R V I C E: I came here to celebrate my Mother in law's birthday. We had a reservation for 6 of us at 5pm, and it was pretty crowded! Parking could be a hassle for anyone since its parking area isn't that big. We were seated right away, and our server was awesome. F O O D: I really enjoyed the bread they served us while we waited for our food. I had to stop myself from eating too much of it! My main course was their Pollo Ripieno, and it was pretty tasty. I was hesitant about the puff pastry, but it worked well together with the chicken. The portion size did feel a little small for me - and for the price, I was expecting more. O V E R A L L: I can't say I see myself coming back here, unless family wanted to. I felt like the food was mediocre for the amount of money we paid.

Amazing food, amazing service and amazing ambiance. Alejandra was our server, and she was outstanding; she didn't miss a beat, despite serving our entire room and a couple of tables outside our area. Food is delicious and the pastas area must, as they are handmade. All was fresh and you can tell they use good quality ingredients. We didn't have any cocktails but opted for our own wine; corkage is $25. Parking is easy as they have their own dedicated parking lot, but there are also lots of street parking. This place is VERY lively. If you're looking for a quite area to sit, I would suggest on the deck. The areas we were in were lively with lots of parties of 6+. Would totally come back again!

Made a reservation easily thru Open Table for a Tuesday night for Mrs. & I. We were seated right away and waiter asked if we wanted anything to drink. We were given ice cold water & bread with dipping Olive oil and Balsamic Vinegar which was nice touch. I ordered a glass of wine from a fairly extensive wine list. My wife ordered their signature jumbo shrimp dish & I the seafood of the day: sole with mash potatoes and vegetables. I also ordered their soup of the day: cream of mushroom. All the food served hot on warm plates. Our entree were beautiful in presentation & returned empty. Great dessert choices and speciality drinks after. The atmosphere of the restaurant is 1800's and the owners have a great job providing a welcoming feeling to the restaurant with friendly and attentive staff. Visit at night is recommended as the outdoor lighting of the historic home is beautiful. N

Can you bring your own wine bottle?

Yes but you'll have to pay corkage. I don't know what they charge at Ca Bianca. It can range from $10 to $30 or more. Also, there are limits to how many bottles you can bring and, again, it depends on the restaurant.

Is there a corkage fee?

Yes, last time we were there a few weeks ago it was $18.00 per bottle

Are dogs allowed on patio?

Yes..... I saw 3 of them on the patio this evening

Our server was incredibly friendly, and the entire room shared the same warm, easygoing vibe. The small, speakeasy themed space was already packed at 5 PM, so reservations seem like a must. Everything we ordered was well-prepared and delicious, but the standout dishes were the beet salad and the shrimp & grits. The beet salad had a perfect mix of textures; chopped pistachios, tender beets, and crunchy radishes over a pillowy ricotta. I finished the salad wishing there was more. The shrimp & grits featured a potlikker sauce that absolutely lived up to the hype; it made the dish. I wish the shrimp & grits were served in a bowl rather than a shallow dish. I found myself chasing the sauce and polenta around the plate, trying not to push it over the edge. That said, if it were in a bowl, I might have just drank the sauce, so perhaps this is the restaurant's way of preserving a bit of dignity for its guests. Next time, I'm hoping to visit when oyster po' boys and fried green tomatoes are on the menu.

The vibe is effortlessly chill, with whimsical decor--think antique lamps, an old record player, and lots of little details that make you want to look around. The whole place felt alive in the best way--buzzing with conversation, laughter, and people clearly having a great time. We didn't have a reservation, but lucked out with seats at the community table. Bonus: the other guests were super welcoming, which just added to the fun, communal feel. We hit happy hour, and wow--it's a good one. Tons of interesting bites and a solid drink lineup. I went with a whiskey sour, my friend had the ginger beer on draft (very refreshing), and we shared the prawns, Brussels sprouts, and creamy mac & cheese. Everything was seriously delicious. Shoutout to our server, Melanie--friendly, attentive, and totally on it, even with the place packed. A couple things to note: it does get loud, so maybe not your spot if you're after a quiet, intimate dinner. Also, the happy hour menu listed Brussels sprouts but didn't mention bacon--I'm vegetarian, so that was a bit of a surprise. (It is noted on the regular dinner menu, which I admittedly didn't check.) All in all, such a fun, lively spot. I'll definitely be back for more bites and cocktails.

There's almost zero damping and no acoustic management whatsoever. It has the appearance of an attractive venue without the functional reality. It was incredibly painful with the voices of all the talking along with the music ringing in our ears. The conversations of people were amplified by the design of the facility to the point where they were competing with the fully amplified '90s band that I heard called joose. In addition, they appear to have no comprehension about how to actually create an appropriate acoustic management system. There are no damping systems, no soft surfaces, it's like they didn't even ask anybody who knows anything about anything about how to do acoustic design. It's entirely appearance based. We will never return here again for anything other than a cocktail or maybe a karaoke event. It was a waste of $20. Per person. We effectively paid $40 for a couple to be acoustically tortured for 2 hours. We kept hoping it would get better but it didn't I thought maybe once more people came in they might help but it didn't help they just got louder. I can't believe that nobody else has complained about this before.

Service was always prompt and welcoming as well. There is a good variety of food with the stars I think being their escargot (the garlic butter being the best). Lots of little touches of snail decor around the restaurant is really cute. I've had their ahi Niçoise salad and it is excellent. The potatoes and ahi were a surprisingly good combo for me. Oysters are a refreshing appetizer but I recommend the frog legs (tastes almost like a very lightly fried thinner chicken wing). I often paired it with a side of mushrooms. My family has gotten a variety of their menu. Onion soup is good and ahi tartare is great to share and munch. Warmed baguette bread and butter are always available. They have such good appetizers I think they even beat out the entrees. But I can say their steak and poulet/chicken frites are not bad too. I'm very glad they can do substitutions for the frites with roasted vegetables and got my poulet with green beans instead which still were a good pairing for the meat. Desserts are great too to share and finish your meal. Creme brûlée is standard in a lot of places and theirs hits the mark but I love Augie's Crepe Suzette more! A tangy orange based crepe topped with vanilla ice cream with bits of crispy orange bits throughout. I hope I come back again to try more dishes. A lovely spot in downtown. Cozy decor and the restaurant is in the middle of all the downtown Santa Rosa action. The bread and butter were so good. And complimentary, which I feel is rare these days. Salade Lyonnaise was surprisingly good for this reluctant veggie eater. The bacon vinaigrette really gave it a meaty flavor. I wanted to try the terrine but the group vetoed me for the pate and I was pleasantly surprised. It came with a little bit of salad, mustard, and pickles, and the whole thing ate really well together. Next came the sweetbreads and I think I was only sad there wasn't more of it. I liked this best of the apps. Got the half dozen raw oysters on half shell. Those were okay, I think I could skip next time. For mains, I got the duck confit. The duck itself was okay. I think I expected it to be more tender; and it was a bit oversalted for my taste. The potatoes and fig jus though... wow I would order this if it was just a side. Also, again, appreciated that there was a salad with this, I thought it was a nice touch that brightened up the dish. I probably wouldn't get this again but there are other mains to try. I tried the dishes ordered by others at our table. I thought the steak was super chewy. Definitely the worst steak I've had from a Stark restaurant. It is the worst steak I've had in recent memory. It also had very little sauce, but maybe I was only looking for the sauce because the steak wasn't any good. I thought the duck sausage dish was a bit salty. The poulet frites was probably objectively the most well-prepared protein out of what we ordered, in terms of seasoning and texture. We were pretty stuffed so we didn't get dessert this time. The service was interesting. Front of house were very welcoming and friendly, what you would likely expect for hospitality. Servers were not very welcoming or friendly, but maybe it's trying for French vibes in that way. (Jk.) It was maybe giving new server. That said, by the end of the meal I couldn't really knock it because the servers were prompt in responding to all our requests. Overall, I think the visit was like 3.5 stars because of the bread and butter, good apps, and prompt service were good, but the mains were all pretty disappointing. I will definitely be back to try more of the apps and maybe a dessert.
