It seems like every time I go into this store I encounter a new level of bulls#*t. They would not match a price for me, told me they can't do it and just stirred at me.

Walking up to this I thought it was huge but not as big inside as I thought. No aquarium or trophy room like the Harrisburg location. Staff was helpful, store clean & orderly. Didn't care for the rather pushy independent sales people in the store.

Felt like I just walked into Outdoorman. Great shopping with friendly people. My wife found the perfect flip flops for our cruise.

I would call this a "baby" Cabela's as it is much smaller than the ones we have visited in other locations. Still, it has lots of sporting good items for any fishing, and camping activities. The 3 stars is for the lack of ammo product available for hunting. Of course, with the times as they are, it seems to be the norm at most gun and sporting good stores. Still, it was impossible to find even 22 rifle shells. Sales associate suggested ordering online, but when hubs tried, he was told everything was on back order. So I guess one can buy a new gun but no ammunition available to purchase. Go figure.

Great Santa experience today! (Visited Dec 12) Staff in store and at the Santa experience were all friendly and accommodating to our 4 legged children.

We had a great experience at Santaland within Cabela's with our son. They offer kids crafts, photo with Santa and an option for kids to write a letter to Santa. While our son cried the whole time taking a photo with Santa, this year's santa was a great sport and was patient enough to really tried to get him to smile. Thanks for the experience, Cabela's! The Fort Mill location offers a wide variety of merchandise for hunting, finishing, camping and they have a firearms section. They sell Yeti items!! They also have a hot food section where you can purchase sandwiches and snacks and drinks if you get there hungry or play for a while. There is a dedicated power sports section. They have a decent sized fish tank with quite a few different big fish including catfish, pike, etc. and while the location isn't as big or doesn't have as much animal decor to look at as the locati n in Pennsylvania that I've been to, it still a large facility and offers you a chance to shop, relax by the fireplace and play checkers, take a break at the cafe for a quick bite to eat and an annual santalnad event. A+ for family friendly place.

We play a game "when" we go, which is usually a last resort. We count how many employees we pass that neither greet or ask if we need help.

Para USA - A LOT of Failure to feeds. A $1400 1911 should work out of the box and not need service. Endemic if you read the 1911 forums.

Formerly known as Para Ordnance, Para USA makes 1911 style firearms…read more Para originally entered the market with a high capacity, double stack 1911. This gun is massive. With a double stack magazine of 14 rounds, only those with large hands and the strength to tote this behemoth could handle this huge pistol. While they still make the P-14, Para also makes traditional single stack guns and the LDA (Light Double Action). The Para SSP LDA was my first 1911 style pistol. This gun is all stainless steel with a single stack, 7 or 8 round magazine. While many complain about Para's reliability, this gun has never had a malfunction despite firing thousands of rounds. The LDA system is very different from a traditional 1911. Instead of carrying it cocked and locked, the gun functions in double action only mode. Despite being double action, the trigger pull is amazingly light. Because it is so different from traditional actions, it takes some getting used to. Once I was familiar with it, this gun was very accurate. Now that I have moved on to traditional single action 1911s, I don't shoot my Para much, but it is still a fine pistol. If you're in the market for a 1911, and you can get a good deal on a Para, I recommend you check it out.

Solid, ate whatever rounds I gave them and were a wonderful gun with a lot of firepower. Fast forward to 2014. My wife bought a para black ops 14.45. The pistol, from the get go, had a variety of problems. The night sights went out, the safety, if touched would move (and stop the next round from chambering) and out of 14 rounds, 12 Failure to Feeds. I email Para a variety of times and never every got a response. I posted for help on the forums. No help there either, other than from other members. I called and was put on infini-hold when I did manage to get through to their customer service and never once - after hours and hours - made it past the front gate. Finally., I traded it off. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this particular pistol to anyone. If you are thinking about getting a double stack 45, I would suggest there are other ways to go.
