Of course I'm near Rock Hill SC and just had to stop at Nichols Store!! Actually grabbing lunch here today got a solid menu! The staff for the kitchen is fantastic! The menu is very reasonably priced. Ham and Cheese Sandwich for $4.69! Wow!! Of course I splurged for the Chili Cheese Fries!! Oh I guess I'll peruse the Outdoors Side of the Store while I'm here! Easy 5 Stars !! read more

Needs training on dealing with manufacture warranties on certain items. The company sends a voucher or QR code and says take it to the local store where ya got it to swap out. Nichols ain't having no part of it. "Do it online" is the response I got. Had already done it online, thats where I got the QR code to bring to the store. read more

Amazing selection, knowledgeable staff, but weekends are tough, they are slammed, and customer service drops off, but still the best in the region. read more

Nichols storage very clean very honest I sold a 357 Magnum there and I love the money for it

Awesome stop for when you need stuff for hunting, fishing, camping, or just for protection. Great selection of firearms and accessories. The guys at the counter know what they are selling and will help you find what you are looking for. Don't forget to stop by their deli. read more

Customer service is great in every department. Tons of selections on guns, clothes, everything outdoor pretty much. Amazing value for the items sold. Prices are always very fair. The knowledge of firearms by those who work in the gun department is amazing. If you see one of the store managers named Jeff, sing any song for him and he may just give you a %1 discount on any product. Maybe. read more

Service is always exceptional. Great selection and gives off kid in candy store vibe.

I will start off by saying I love this store BUT! They are letting way to many people in the store with no mask. WAY TO MANY!!! Me and wifey felt very uncomfortable and left the store almost immediately after going in. See pic. read more

Bought a few guns here, great store. Informative employees great selection. Recommend it for anyone!

I bought 2 FEDERAL BLACK PACK bulk cases of 300 blackout ammunition.Expecting to get a 20.00 rebate from the factory.I sent in the upc codes with the form Nichols had given me and waited more that 10 weeks and didn't hear from a thing I called Federals rebate center and was told that rebate had ended.I feel like I have been a victim of FRAUD. I would think twice before doing business with Nichols Store or Buy any Federal brand ammunition.I consider them CROOKS and would not trust them to stand behind and of their merchandice! read more

Best store ever! Great inventory. Always great customer service! Great business model! Nothing but greatness here.

I purchased a new Cushman Hauler from Nichols Store in 2021 for about $9,000. Nichols is a Cushman dealer. It has been driver less than 20 miles since I purchased it. This spring it began choking out and would not run so I took it to Nichols for repair. They kept it for months blaming the manufacturer for back ordered parts and finally called me at the end of August to pick it up. They charged me almost $600 for the repair. Now, it is having the exact same issue so i took it back to Nichols. Last week Nichols called me to pick it up. When I arrived, they told me that they could not fix it and told me to take it to Carolina Golf Carts. WOW! Before I posted this review I emailed Nichols last week asking for a response, but they never even replied to my email. I certainly would not buy anything else at this store. read more

I thought an individual in the gun department had a little bit of an attitude. Otherwise the store has about everything you could want. Prices on hand guns were a little higher than MSRP at other local shops so I don't see myself personally doing much business with them. read more

My husband and I stopped at this gun shop on the way back from Charlotte. The store is a lot bigger than I thought it would be and they had a huge selection for anything you were looking at. My husband was in heaven! Overall, the best thing about the place is the customer service. The guys behind the counter were the nicest people and they were constantly checking on us to make sure we were okay and didn't need help. I know we will definitely be making a stop here anytime we are in town! read more

Nichols Store - Sporting Goods Near Me - Rock Hill, South Carolina

Zero stars. Extremely rude staff. Terrible customer service. Will not be back. Entered the store this evening at 5:35 and was promptly ushered out by an eager staff trying to close early. Why post open until 6pm if you want to close at 5:40? This is my second bad experience with this place. read more

Bought a Glock a couple days ago and went back today with my wife & M.I.L. and we all were extremely satisfied with both the products and customer service. Dealt with Josh (gun dept.) and Jeff (grill/smoker dept.) and both of those guys know what they're talking about. Aside from their knowledge, both were personable and professional. Got a bite to eat before going home with a Traeger smoker and a couple of other items (all quality products) and couldn't be happier. To be honest, all employees at Nichols are personable, I just happened to interact with these 2 fellas and everything was cool beans. I'll definitely be back to shop in the future. read more

Meca for infidels. Ready to pick your jaw up off the floor literally. This is your store. Screw cabelas and all these other larger stores this store is the place to be. They have anything everything you could ever want. It's enough to wet your drawers when you walk in. Nice polite staff and anything in your dreams that gets you hard. By far on top foremost the best gun shop I've ever been to in 40 years. God bless them and may they profit and take over the world. The antithesis of what a gun store should be. All other stores should aspire to Nichols and they are the Amex black card of gun shops. Props to them and forever may they reign. read more

A good store that has just about everything you need for any outdoor trip. Though they have gone to more expensive side like Sitka but still good selection. read more

First time I had ever been buy this outdoorsman store and it didn't leave me disappointed. The store is much larger than it appears and their selection of new and used goods is great. It took me a minute to find someone to help me which is the reason I went 4/5, but the staff was helpful once we connected. Their prices were very reasonable so when I'm in the area, I'll be checking back in to see what else they have to offer. read more

If you are into any outdoor activities such as hunting or fishing etc then this place will have something for you. Very friendly staff and very eager to help or answer questions. Looking to give that perfect handgun to a significant other for Valentine's Day...they can help. They have a huge assortment of handguns, black powder, and rifles and shotguns. The prices are retail but chances are they will have what you're looking for! read more

I decided to buy a Traeger grill in April2020. I noticed Nichols store was a platinum dealer. It was important to me I bought from company that was authorized to sell AND fix grills. I live pretty far from the store as I'm in Monroe,NC so I wasn't sure they would deliver to me. I called and spoke to Jonathan and told him the smoker I was interested in and asked about delivery. He was very nice and said there was no problem delivering it. They did the seasoning stage for me before delivery. Him and a young gentleman walked me through how use it and how to take care of the grill. He was very thorough and he didn't rush thru it. Fast forward almost exactly a year later, I started to notice a problem in the preheating stage and there was a clicking sound. With the help of Traeger customer service they submitted service order for Nichols Store. Jonathan reached out to me the same day and there was no fussing or avoidance of wanting to help. He told me he would be in my area in a few days and he would pick up the grill and get it fixed. While he had the grill he sent me a couple of status updates which was also great. He had the grill for about a week b/c they had to wait on Traeger to get them the part. He was very thorough ran it through a few cycles at different temps to make it was working properly and delivered it back to me. Jonathan and the young man (wish i got his name) with him were very nice and provided great customer service. It definitely pays to buy these types of smokers from a dealer. I would totally recommend Nichols Store and Jonathan if you are in need of a smoker or grill. read more

Excellent customer service this is definitely the place to go for anything sportsman-related or clothing for the outdoors!! Great selection and staff is knowledgeable and oh so friendly!! read more

This place has come a long way in the past 10 years. If you haven't been, it is a must trip. You name it, they probably have it, this is not a discount store, you pay for what you get, and the knowledge behind it. Not some 17 year old kid in a typical chain store. All that said, i am still very disappointed that for the size, and space still available, for a gun store as top notch as this, there is no shooting range : / A nice outdoor range for rifles and shotguns. And, an indoor range for pistols is what this place REALLY needs!! read more

A friend told me about this place, so I decided to make the drive south of Rock Hill to check it out. Wow! This place is like Bass Pro Shop or Gander Mountain only home owned and in Rock Hill. They have every sporting item imaginable, from fishing supplies, to Guns, to boots, clothing, coolers, the big green egg, even 4 wheelers and tree stands. They have a large selection of firearms. If you are in the market for outdoor hunting or fishing gear this is your place. read more

Wonderful store! Stocks many of the premium brands the big box hunting stores overlook. Every staff member is knowledgeable, and focused on complete customer service. Very few stores around anymore that appreciate customers like Nichols does. read more

I had an issue getting my crossbow worked on. They lost track of it. Then they couldn't locate my scope. Told me it was ready and when I showed up it was still in pieces. When I asked them for a bill they could not give me one so they wouldn't let me leave with it. Then they told me they would email me an invoice. All together a poorly run business. Manager was in effective and the kids they employee are extremely unprofessional. I will never spend another dollar in that place again. If I can't get it online I would rather drive a little further and use a more professional store. read more
