Jesse and his team made each of us feel so comfortable and at ease on the range, and we each had individual attention on improving our weaknesses. If you're the type that is easily intimidated, this is for you. If it's your first or four hundredth time on the range, it's for you. I can not recommend them enough. (Also, found out they do fundraisers and so churches and other companies can host them and they'll donate to your cause.) I went for the conceal carry class because someone didn't keep track of when paperwork expires and had to take the class over.. but, this was an amazing class, way better than the first one I took. The best thing about it was the fact I felt it combined instructional time by shooting 100 rounds when you only need 30 rounds for the actual qualifier. I haven't seen a more patient instructor able to adapt to all skill levels and able to give the corrections to grip/stance/etc in the way the individual needs to hear it. This is definitely worth the quick trip from Charlotte and one of the most cost effective classes I've taken.

But Jeremy's kindness and patience and dedication to his craft is what made me need to review. Given the Delta variant surge, and the ability for vaccinated people to be carriers...I'm not in the best position to participate given my baby niece's immunocompromised status (who, as an infant, isn't vaccinated), and Jeremy worked with me to find a solution that helps me make sure my niece is safe and looked after, but making sure I knew the door stayed open for my own training. God bless TDT and their staff, and their members who go out of their way to motivate and encourage. If you need a gym routine that shakes up the old and in an exciting way, get on the mat and have some fun!!!! I personally can't wait to go back .

Classes are offered 4x a week but you can set your own schedule so there is plenty of flexibility. Give it a shot

He is passionate about gun use and safety. The class isn't dull or repetitive. Each phase of the course is extremely interesting, especially with David during this course. He explains everything and answers any and all questions put to him. He treats each pupil with respect regardless of whether you are a novice about guns or not. There wasn't a dull moment during this course. David is very professional and organized and a great instructor. He made me feel as though I was doing great, especially when it was time for me to use the gun range. I was really very, very nervous and intimidated because I had no knowledge about how to handle or use a gun. He encouraged & relaxed me while at the firing range and I was able to apply what I had learned when taking my shots for the first time. This course was more than I expected, and the instructor was great!! I will be returning for more instruction and practice at the firing range!! A great instructor, thank you so much David, you made me feel so welcome and comfortable even at my age!!! I thank you for your vast information and your time!! I will be seeing you real soon!!!

The owner and instructor David Blanton was extremely passionate about gun safety and laws and really kept each section fun and interesting. My husband and I received very useful information concerning real life scenarios, gun safety, respect for the law and weapon, & really had fun getting out there and shooting. Very professional and organized, I would definitely come back just for the experience and knowledge. He does the class out of his residence but everything worked and the class of 12 really enjoyed it. Thanks for your time, knowledge, & energy, David!

This is a Black owned business, and I was happy to patronize. I also purchased a unit of pepper gel and a book during our break. We did not go to the range during this class but were told we could go on our own time. I tried to use the "contact us" section of the website to get info about scheduling my range practice. I did not get a response, but this review reminded me to look at pictures I'd taken during class. I have emails and telephone numbers for the instructors, so I'll be reaching out tomorrow. In addition to the skeet and trap ranges, there is a pistol and rifle range further down the road, but I haven't seen it and can't comment on it. For skeet and trap, there is one skeet range, one trap range, and one combination skeet/trap range. That means this place is crowded, so you would do well to come on off days and come early. There seems to be some confusion about the open hours, so your best bet is to just call. (The place is open on weekdays, despite some signs to the contrary). The equipment is nothing special, although jams do happen occasionally. Price for skeet and trap is $3.50 per round (20 shots fired), or $3.00 for Gastonia residents. There may be a bulk discount for groups firing a lot of rounds. Ammunition is available, but you must bring your own firearms. Also, they only carry a few types of ammo, so call ahead and make sure they have what you want to shoot. The range master is friendly, personable, and fierce -- do not get on his bad side, and only come to this range if you can do so with a healthy attitude to safety and manners. To get there, first get to Tulip Dr. You will see a sign on the right about 0.8 miles from N. Chester St. Turn right at the sign and drive along a gravel road to the ranges.
