What a great night. They just keep getting better. Everyone was having a blast . They have very big plans and they just keep making it happen. Of course it all comes down to the staff everyone's amazing.

I learned more in 10 minutes from Richard than I had with any other golf lesson. Highly recommend a lesson from him.

I already knew its reputation and had read countless reviews, and after a few months as a member, I couldn't be happier with my decision. The course is immaculate, and I can't wait to see it in full color this spring. I've already attended several club events, all of which have been a lot of fun. The staff is consistently friendly and professional, and the pro shop is well stocked with a great selection of logo apparel, clubs, and accessories. Mike Zhiss has been fantastic in answering membership questions, and I've had three lessons so far with Jim Lusk, the Head Professional, with plans to continue working with him weekly for the foreseeable future. Scott, the General Manager, has also done an excellent job making my wife and family feel welcome. Guilties Bistro deserves special recognition. Whether you're just looking to enjoy a cocktail after a round of golf or sit down for a full dining experience, Guilties delivers. The food is phenomenal, the presentation is excellent, and the service is outstanding. The daily food specials offer a wide variety and are consistently creative, fresh, and well executed--this is a place you genuinely look forward to visiting, not just a convenient clubhouse option. If you're looking for a family-friendly club with a top-tier course and a welcoming atmosphere, Verdict Ridge should absolutely be on your list to tour. Give Mike a call.

A young man immediately picked up my clubs and put them on a cart and instructed me to the ProShop. There I met Jacob who got me checked in and I was smiling with the news that my Monday round of 18 holes and a cart would only be $55 bucks, what a great value! I made my way to the driving range to hit some complimentary balls and also test out the putting/chipping green. My group of 4, was able to tee off right at 1140a with an assist from Mike T, the Starter. I will say, this is a very challenging course. There is a lot of changing elevation throughout and a fair amount of water that comes into play on a majority of holes. There is a creek that criss crosses throughout and some small ponds as well. You'll find the fairways wide open, however you'll be challenged for ball placement as the majority of fairways will funnel to the creek or water. The greens are very fast, they are undulating and generally small for the most part. The views are amazing! It's built in a development with Million dollar homes that line the fairway and circle around the green complexes. There are adequate water stations scattered throughout and there is bathroom at about hole #8 where they have cold face towels in water that will refresh you. I didn't try the food but I did check out the menu and it looked like a good mix of hot and cold options. Even on a Monday it was very busy and our round of 18 holes took about 4.5 hours. It was tough with 93 degree temps and 60% humidity. Just a few nits that were not major but a bit disappointing. Even though they had a food/beverage cart parked by the Club House, there was no one to operate it. In several areas, you will be confused on where to go for the next tee box because there is no directional sign. The carts were all gas, not a single electric cart and they struggled getting up the steep hills. The pace of play was longer than expected, not a big deal when the weather is great but when it's 90+ degrees and humid, you will suffer as there is no Ranger to keep things moving. This is a semi-private club and only members are allowed to play Friday to Sunday. Overall it was a five star experience, sadly it's quite a drive from where I live in Fort Mill but I was glad to check this one off my most of the B-Man's top 10 CLT area courses.

Since then an independent management group has taken over. I met some friends for a 'tune-up' round in preparation for a charity tournament we're playing in. I called a week ahead to make the tee time and asked about their practice facilities. I was told they have a driving range, practice putting and chipping area. I drove from Fort Mill and got there an hourly early only to learn the range was shut down for 'over seeding'. There is no practice chipping area only a putting green. As I was entering the Pro Shop, I saw a sign that said 'Snack Bar'. Once I checked-in and got my cart key, I asked what time did the Snack Bar open. the lady said "oh, we don't have a snack bar". My response was " you got a snack bar sign, but no snack bar". She just stared at me. This course is ragged. I don't like the lay out, too many blind shots and poor sight lines. The greens and tee boxes were OK but the fairways were in bad shape and if you are out of bounds, you will lose your ball or be heavily penalized. There are creeks that criss cross the course with power lines above as well. There are some ponds but none that create difficulties for your shot. I was going to play 18 but after 9 holes, our group decided to stop play. The lady in our group was disappointed there were NO Red or forward tees, the gold or Senior tees are the most forward tees, sorry ladies, the City of Gastonia will receive your comments. The electric carts were in good condition and the ProShop was small with not very much gear for sale. They do sell beer and they have soda and snack food vending machines. I doubt I will return, just way too many other good options near where I live.

Today I played the front nine with a 130p tee time, it was 87 degrees and 60% humidity so it was not ideal weather but not unbearable for just 9 holes. Even though Hurricane Debby had blown through four days before dropping 4 inches of rain in Fort Mill, it had dried quickly and conditions were good. It was cart path only on the #5 hole. Built in 2001 and designed by Clyde Johnston, this is the most updated and modern of all the 4 Leroy Springs courses. It's a challenging course which will test your mid-iron game requiring strategic strategy off the tee and approach shots. They have GPS on all the electric carts, a nice large driving range where you can hit off grass and mats as well as a designated chipping area with a small bunker and a large putting green. Really nice ProShop for all the golf gear including mens & women's clothes, shoes, gloves, hat's, belts, towels and a wide selection of golf ball brands. Nice snack bar at the turn with good menu options and a large dining room. You can also use an App called 'birdie' to advance order from the snack bar. The only downsides are the lack of water coolers along the holes and there is only one bathroom on the front nine. Hole #5 is perpetual cart path only. There is no beverage cart, even at the height of the hottest summer days. Many green side bunkers creating side hill & uneven lies.
