Direction to the ranges are extremely easy to follow; You can't get lost. I was amazed at how beautifully groomed and maintained the facility was. Staff up at the range were incredibly, professional, polite, welcoming and kind. Visitors were well behaved and acted appropriately. Overall, staff facilitates a family and safe atmosphere. Price point was extremely fair. Good value! I'm looking forward to my next visit. Today - Saturday - 27 December was a very busy day; - Weather was gorgeous; Nonetheless - Parking was easy and getting around the facility was not an issue. A+ Well designed and kept up!

Impressed by my first visit to this facility, which appears to be a partnership between Cleveland…read moreCounty government and the NC Wildlife Resources Commission. Seems to be a well run partnership at first glance. Suggestion: prior to visiting, head to the website, watch the orientation video, and complete the online waiver. They'll have it waiting for you to sign at the office. The office is your first stop, where you'll sign the waiver (after watching the video, if you didn't already watch it online) and pay your fees. A single fee gives you all day access via wristband, and just a couple dollars more pays for the target stands you'll be using. One free target comes with the fees. Staplers and staples are provided free at each range. Office staff can answer your initial questions and get you in-processed quickly, then let the range officers know you're coming their way. Suggestion 2: weapons brought into the complex must be cased and unloaded. Do this before you arrive, and everything will go smoothly. Range officers are helpful, friendly, and not drill sergeants. Listen to them, follow their instructions, and enjoy the day. They've all got different personalities, of course; the Range 2 guys were pretty lackadaisical, while I appreciated the efficiency of the Range 3 crew. The facilities I saw were all clean and well equipped. Nothing fancy, mind you, but still far nicer than most of the public ranges I've seen. It's a shame there aren't more facilities of this caliber dispersed around the state. I certainly wish there were one closer to where I live. But going here was worth the drive. And for those of us who are veterans, there are discounts for visiting on weekdays. Maybe I can take advantage of that some time soon.

He is passionate about gun use and safety. The class isn't dull or repetitive. Each phase of the course is extremely interesting, especially with David during this course. He explains everything and answers any and all questions put to him. He treats each pupil with respect regardless of whether you are a novice about guns or not. There wasn't a dull moment during this course. David is very professional and organized and a great instructor. He made me feel as though I was doing great, especially when it was time for me to use the gun range. I was really very, very nervous and intimidated because I had no knowledge about how to handle or use a gun. He encouraged & relaxed me while at the firing range and I was able to apply what I had learned when taking my shots for the first time. This course was more than I expected, and the instructor was great!! I will be returning for more instruction and practice at the firing range!! A great instructor, thank you so much David, you made me feel so welcome and comfortable even at my age!!! I thank you for your vast information and your time!! I will be seeing you real soon!!!

The owner and instructor David Blanton was extremely passionate about gun safety and laws and really kept each section fun and interesting. My husband and I received very useful information concerning real life scenarios, gun safety, respect for the law and weapon, & really had fun getting out there and shooting. Very professional and organized, I would definitely come back just for the experience and knowledge. He does the class out of his residence but everything worked and the class of 12 really enjoyed it. Thanks for your time, knowledge, & energy, David!

Jesse and his team made each of us feel so comfortable and at ease on the range, and we each had individual attention on improving our weaknesses. If you're the type that is easily intimidated, this is for you. If it's your first or four hundredth time on the range, it's for you. I can not recommend them enough. (Also, found out they do fundraisers and so churches and other companies can host them and they'll donate to your cause.) I went for the conceal carry class because someone didn't keep track of when paperwork expires and had to take the class over.. but, this was an amazing class, way better than the first one I took. The best thing about it was the fact I felt it combined instructional time by shooting 100 rounds when you only need 30 rounds for the actual qualifier. I haven't seen a more patient instructor able to adapt to all skill levels and able to give the corrections to grip/stance/etc in the way the individual needs to hear it. This is definitely worth the quick trip from Charlotte and one of the most cost effective classes I've taken.
