Top Sirloin Steak and Eggs
Scott K.

Rating: three stars We went here for breakfast before going to Ren Faire. For a Sunday morning, it was surprisingly slow, and we were seated immediately. The staff was very friendly. The restaurant has an eclectic ambiance with a smattering of knick-knacks from various periods. The house itself is from 1905, and the restaurant has been operating since 1975. The food itself was good. We all liked the potato cakes. I would recommend going here if you are in the area.

Chicken chicken fried steak $21.99

What a cute and unique restaurant! They brought us some complimentary scones with raspberry jelly which was so good. The chicken chicken fried steak was well cooked and the gravy was very good. Of course we had to get what they are most famous for, the pie. Its a little pricey at $8.99 a slice, but its very good and worth it every once in awhile.

Went here with a group. The menu is very large. The service was also very good. The food was ok, I had the sockeye salmon with a side cesar and baked potato. The cesar was the star of the meal. It was dressed perfectly and had nice portions of shaved parmesan on the salad. The baked potato was cooked well, simple with the right amount of toppings on the side. I had neptune style (crab and shrimp hollandaise). The flavor was ok. The veggies were steamed and they were fine as well. Overall great service and cute restaurant, the flavor could have used some more seasoning on the entrees.

free scones ! w raspberry jam + salted butter

a cute little antique restaurant with the exterior of a mini barn ! on the inside you'll find many retro items of typewriters & old antiques, making the theme & vibe of the restaraunt feel old chic in the best way possible. upon entering you can see the bar they have that's loaded with their coffee flavoring pumps, & a huge case lined with their fresh pies. there's seating inside & on the patio, & plenty of space so it doesn't feel overly cramped - it's quiet spacious for what seems like such a tiny place. our server was very kind to us, constantly coming by to make sure if we needed anything & if we were enjoying our food. with your meal, you get fresh scones with fresh raspberry jam & salted butter packets. the scones were amazing - i had without butter & jam - they didn't taste of yeast or super dry ! the jam was alright, a bit on the bitter side, but it was lovely fresh jam that i know others would love. i ordered the eggs benedict with ham, with a side of the cabbage potatoes & a hot chocolate. my partner ordered their cheeseburger with a side of fries. the hot chocolate was delicious ! the whipped cream was sweet & fluffy, & mixed well with the sweet yet savory , milky hot chocolate: finally somewhere where it didn't taste like it was out of a packet ! the eggs benedict was very good, the eggs were perfectly poached, the sauce was a bit light, & the biscuit was a bit over toasted, but even with that it was easily overlooked because it was delectable. the potatoes as well were fresh tasting & didn't taste of being overly salted nor gouged in oil. my partner said both the fries & the burger was amazing, & it was one of the freshest cut of meat he has ever had. i recommend coming here if you're got any good spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner ! or if you're a pie person, to stop in for some fresh homemade pie :)

Corned beef hash and cabbage patch soup in back

Great cabbage patch soup and hash browns for breakfast. And great service. Ordered the corned beef hash and cup of cabbage patch soup.

Don't bother with either of these menu items.

In a word, "no". First off, our server Tiffany was wonderful - attentive and professional. It's a cute enough place- an old farm house with several small rooms you can be seated in. We appreciated that there seemed to be some sensitivity regarding spacing between tables- they are adequately spaced apart. They were out of our first few picks for food, but I'm not sure it would have made a difference. I settled on the Cordon Bleu Bites, and the Truffle Fries. I don't think I've ever sent anything back to the kitchen, and usually cringe when seeing someone do this. But after trying one of the "cordon bleu bites" I did just that. Not sure what the exterior was, but it tasted like Campbell's soup inside. As for the "truffle fries" - the Cabbage Patch disappoints there, too. The fries were packaged frozen, not fresh hand-cut, and decorated with a little cheese. My friend said her chicken sandwich was ok. Consensus? There doesn't seem to be a chef in the kitchen; the food is not great. This lead us to wonder why it's so hard to find a decent meal in Snohomish - such a cute little town. The next time we visit, we'll eat elsewhere.

Chicken pot pie with puff pastry (petite size)- The filling was yummy, but there was too much puff pastry compared with the amount of fillin

After years of passing this restaurant by, I finally stopped in with a group of family members one Sunday afternoon. The Christmas decor inside was festive, and the set up of the restaurant was reminiscent of a family dining room. Each staff member we interacted with were polite and friendly. We were brought a plate of scones and jam to savor as we decided on our menu choices. These were delicious. I appreciated the variety of options on the menu. The kids menu was great! I ordered the chicken pot pie. The filling was delicious, but the puff pastry on top was a bit much (disproportionate to the amount of filling). The consensus after we ate was that the food was fine, but not anything out of the ordinary, and perhaps not worth the price. TL;DR: Pros- wonderful staff, yummy scones to start, homey feel, large variety of options on the menu Cons- (Not really a con but) The food was not quite worth the price, and not anything extra special.

yummy chicken and to die for potato cakes

It seems that one of the most challenging things in life is deciding where to eat. My friends and I ended up at The Cabbage Patch in the beautiful town of Snohomish. It's located in a house conversion restaurant right near the river. The food, service and ambiance are on point. I will tell you they have some beautiful bathrooms I have ever seen. I'm in love and can't wait to go back.

Unhappy with the service and food. Not sure what the big deal is about this place, it felt dirty and stuffy to me.

This is probably the best fish and chips ive have up here in washington (idk you would call it fish…read moreand chips; but its fried fish and fries) ‍ and its a fish house restaurant not a fish and chips; but whatever; either way it was really delicous. I like it better how the fish fried w/ panko instead of old fashion batter. I like it better than Proper Fish; but again idk if thats truely comparable. It was rainy and we had the doggos so we had order the foods to go and ate them at the car. The sevice was fast and the two ladies working were super friendly. What we got: Alaskan cod 4.5/5 Nicely fried and the fish good as is without any sauce. Halibut 5/5 This was our favorite out of the two; realy nicely fried and the fish is just so flaky and taste great as is. Onion ring 5/5 My wife love onion rings and she said this was the best so far; it was perfect amount of batter and nicely fried as well. Both fish were great; the fries......its alright. They mightve fried them a bit too long; we still finish them tho Including tips; i paid $80 for all three; but i wouldnt mind paying knowing that its gna be great! We will be back for sure and tried their other offering; specially when the patio area is open; and i hope they are consistenly good.

I come here about 2-3 times a year- I live 2,200 miles away in the East. Yeah far way…read more I love their fresh sandwiches and homemade soups. It's a real treat for me - staff here is nice and friendly I could go to a new place here in downtown Snohomish but Gorilla Bites has never served a disappointing meal. Go with what you know:)

Tried this spot for a weekday lunch and had a pretty good experience overall!…read more I went for the salad bar. It was decent and definitely filling. As a vegetarian, my protein option was pesto tofu, while the other options were salmon and tuna. They had all the usual greens and vegetables, and everything was served cold. There were a few in house dressings along with some store bought ones. I tried the balsamic vinaigrette and a honey ginger dressing. It was good, but I think it could be better. My husband ordered the pesto tofu sandwich with Moroccan soup, and that was the highlight. The sandwich was delicious, and his only regret was not getting the full size. The soup was also really flavorful. The place itself feels cozy. The food came out quickly, and we finished everything in no time. Parking is street parking, which might be tricky, especially on weekends. Overall, a good experience. I would definitely come back to try more sandwiches or burgers, but I would probably skip the salad bar next time.

We came here as a late Mother's Day celebration - a party of 7. I'd made the reservation for 6…read morepeople but forgot to update the restaurant so they needed a few minutes to find a table that would work. The manager was very nice and super helpful and what could have been a big problem on a very busy evening turned into a few minutes of waiting outside on a sunny day. The food was good (WOW - especially the Parmesan Artichoke dip. I expected it to be the usual, creamy dip you get everywhere but this had a hit of garlic that made it SPECTACULAR.) But the BEST part of the evening was our server, Brenton. He was funny, kind, very good at his job, checked in with us at exactly the right times and just generally made the evening a great one. Am rating 4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons: 1) They have no gluten free options. Not a GF bun, bread., pasta nor pizza dough. I understand not having many, but to have no GF choices is just not great these days. My husband with celiac disease had very few options. 2) Need more and reservable outside seating. Especially on the beautiful days (like this one was) - having to sit inside was a big bummer. They had more tables outdoors but we were told those were waiting areas and that we couldn't eat there. Anyway - a good spot and an even better one if they made just a couple changes.
