I can say I have officially found my nail place! I've been too many locations and my nails have never chipped, broken, or grew out weird with CA Nails. Anyway, this shop is family owned and they take their time when it comes to your nail care. If you like nail dip, they put a base coat, main coat, extra coats on the tips, and a top clear dip coat. Again, my nails have never ever chipped! my nails have came out beautiful every time by different techs. Their names and nail colors are in my pictures. Also for a pedicure, they're the only shop that really takes out your ingrown toenail! They are WINNING. I initially avoided this place due to the reviews but there is a California Nails nearby that this could be easily been mistaken for. Make sure you go to the location in the same plaza as panera bread. Make sure to call for an appointment as they are normally busy but you can get something for the next day or in the evening if it's for the same day. read more

What a disappointing experience. I called to make sure I can get my eyebrows done. Was told it would be a 15 minute wait. I arrive wait more than 15 minutes. Told to go to the back. Left to wonder when I will get my eyebrows. I walk out to find the tech that was supposed to be doing my eyebrows doing another dip or gel and was simply told to come back tomorrow or a later date. Came in for a pedicure on the 10th of September during my pedicure the gentleman that was doing my pedicure Had cut into my cuticle to the point I was bleeding but he still proceeded on with the pedicure and had painted over the cut. A few days later I noticed a little bit of redness around my big toe which is where it got cut so I started putting some cream on it in hopes that it would go away. But it did not instead I am now left with an infected toe and I'm now on antibiotics because of this. I have never had this problem before with this salon so I am extremely disappointed and honestly don't think I will be returning in fear of getting another infection. read more

This is a horrible shop,The management is very unprofessional refuse to provide licenses. Did a horrible job on my nails charged me a lot of money and within two days I had to have my nails repolished. I've been here 7 or 8 times since moving to chester and I somewhat enjoyed the service. The owner is nice and means well, he tries to make sure each customer has a great experience. As for the techs it's probably about 3 good ones. During my latest visit the tech cut my cuticle which still hurts and drilled so deep on my toenail while he was doing my pedicure that i started bleeding. When i brought it up to him he just tried to have small talk and tried to convince me that everything was okay. I'm just upset that my nails look like this after only a few days. read more

I went to get my eyebrows waxed yesterday afternoon. They were busy and I hadn't scheduled an appointment so I didn't mind waiting. Eventually I was taken back to get waxed. I noticed it was more painful than usual, but I hadn't had my brows done in a couple of months so I brushed it off. She finished waxing my brows and showed me the final product. Nothing was wrong when I looked until I got home. My skin is burned and hurts so badly. I felt like she was in a rush to finish and kind of had an attitude. I liked CA Nails, but they've been slacking recently so I won't be going back and would recommend you spend your money elsewhere. read more

I decided to get my nails done after finger printing appointment for a potential job. This is not my regular salon, but it was close, so I decided to just go there. I'm sure like many people since the pandemic, my own nails have flourished, so instead of getting acrylic applied to them again, I decided to get just a manicure. Now I figure it would be pretty reasonable. The young lady they placed me with barely spoke, I told her I would like a manicure, she places my hands in lukewarm water, nothing else outside of some pebbles in the bottom of the bowl, ok. She then asks if I wanted my cuticles cut and pushed back, with somewhat of a stunned face, I said yes, I'm sorry guys, I just assumed that made up part of the manicure process. I'm sure there are some people who might not do it for medical reasons. Ok, that's done, she tells me to wash my hands. Some where in there, I'm expecting a hand massage, didn't happen. She'd asked previously if I wanted gel, I said yes. She proceeded to dip my nails and did that MANY times, and it was quite time consuming, but I don't have a job, so no where to go and been in house 99.9% of the time since Corona, so I just relaxed and let her do her thing. Ok, it's over now, I get to the register and the young man says $50.00, I bout peed my pants!! I might not look like what I'm going or been through, but long story short, when performing a service on someone, don't surprise them by doing something other than what they asked for and then giving them a not so "HAPPY ENDING"! I had no idea that what she did would cost so much, hell, I would've gotten my raggedy feet done for all that!! We're all trying to make up or make ends meet since the pandemic, but you guys can not do it at the expense of the customer (remember, we're dealing with loss income as well). Do better by letting your customers know exactly what they're getting, take the time to explain it so they know exactly what the cost is. The pricing board was definitely misleading. I will NEVER go back there. I refrained from saying anything, because I didn't want to be perceived as the "ANGRY BLACK WOMAN", but hindsight, I wish I had asked for the manager to make a formal complaint. I so wanted this to be a nice experience because of the anxiety I've been feeling since all of the chaos. Maybe I'll get it right the next time. read more

Would not go again. They did a very sloppy job on the powder manicure, leaving excess all around my nails on my fingers. Both my thumb cuticles were cut and painted over, although they did use alcohol to clean up what they could. This is my second attempt with their services and my last. While the people are nice enough, I don't enjoy paying $40 to have my nails poorly done and my skin cut. read more

I came in here on Monday July 12, 2021. To get a pedicure. The gentleman that did my pedicure. Didn't say one word to me. He tapped my foot to get me to move it or put it in water. He looked straight at my face several times. When we were done. I asked the girl that was doing a pedicure next to me. What his name was. She said it was Ty. I asked her if he spoke English. Our pedicures were the best I have ever experienced with a hot stone massage. My nails turned out wonderful. My mother and I were extremely pleased with our experience. I go to the same lady every time. Her name is Katie. She is sweet and I love the way she does my nails. I tried another person there once, ehhh. I'm going to stick to Katie. She shapes them perfectly and takes her time. She does pedicures well too. This place is a little hike from where I live but it sooo worth it to have a stylist that does your nails just how you like. I don't get a bunch of fancy designs so if that's what you're looking for you may not have the best luck but if you want even nails that are shaped exactly right and painted flawlessly, she is your girl. Okay first of all when you walk into the salon it smells sour and like corn ships. My friend and I sat down we were never greeted until after 5 mins then we waited as expected. The young man with the low bun took my friend he was doing her nails and never took the polish fully off she asked him if he could he said he was going to file it off ...okay cool. She had glitter on her nails and instead of him taking the time to take it off he puts acrylic on top of it she asked him to take it off and he gets mad and says somebody else can do your nails. She told the older guy and he got smart and told her she could sit and wait. We waited 5-10 mins nobody helped her. So we left. We felt as if the customer service was horrible! I have been going to CA Nails for years off and on. The first time I stopped because the service became poor even though I was a regular customer . I decided to give it another try but today has made me change my mind for good. I spent three hours in the salon with my daughter and did not receive what I came in there for, but was still charged full amounts. I came in wanting two polish changes and a take off set for myself and dip powder for my daughter . My polish change was sloppy and I had to wait for a long time before someone came to me. My daughters polish change got upgraded to a gel polish when that was not what was discussed. My chrome polish for my nails would not take to one hand after multiple attempts which led me to have to just say I can return tomorrow because I have been here for three hours too long. The result of this situation was to take 5 dollars off the 20 polish change that I was charged for when it originally should have been 8-10 and for them to tell me that they did not charge me for the chrome polish because it didnt take but the polish that I have on,hot pink, which only was put on my nails because thats what the chrome needed in order to work was charged to me. Even with my attempts to say I will return the next day to have my finished product I was advised I would be charged for the services today and the following day. This establishment has had the last of my money and at this point I would not recommend it to anyone. Like I said I have been a loyal customer for some time now and have given them alot of my money and to receive the services which I did was very unacceptable and infuriating. read more

They use something to scrub your heels that looks eerily like a DollarTree flat cheese grater :( The girl who did my pedicure rubbed the bottom of my foot so hard - like acupressure gone awry and they are certainly not trained for this - that I woke up the next day with a huge black and blue bruise on the pad of my foot; I could barely walk. I visited this salon in November 2015. Not a good experience... The "nail technician" was very rough with my nails and hands and did a poor, sloppy job. I was in no way impressed. A nail salon is supposed to be a relaxing experience. Unfortunately, my nerves were frazzled when I left this place. The place did not look exceptionally clean which should have been my first clue to leave. When I told the technician I did not like my nails, he began speaking to the others in his native language. If I can give less I would! First customer service is grossly lacking. I was left waiting for about 10 minutes. After the service was complete, the technician tried to charge prices for services I did it receive. She had to get someone to try to justify the price. This was the worst pedicure I have ever had. I went with my daughter in law and both of us felt like it was torture instead of a relaxing time. My lady was rude and put scalding hot water on my legs and sprayed some chemical into the water that burned my legs. My daughter in law got freezing cold water on her legs and her lady took out so much cuticle that she bled. Then they sat there talking obviously about us in their language which is rude. Ive gone to this salon a few times now, and it's OK. The owner is pretty annoying, and I would never go back to see him as my nail tech. He constantly hit on me, and kept asking me to ask one of his nail techs a question about her boyfriend? He was focusing too much on others and not on me and my nails ended up not looking great. I took my friend here today because I heard their prices were great, but we weren't greeted when we came in, and not to mention, their customers still staring us down after we made it clear we could see them. We were there for about an hour and 4 other women came in (WALK INS LIKE US) got greeted, and pulled up to a chair. Every employee wouldn't even make eye contact with us. The WORST place I have ever been to get nails done, all I went in for was to have a new Shellac color put on how can you mess that up? One person started on my nails and I had to tell him what to do he was literally pulling the Shellace off my nails with cuticle cutters. I told him this is suppose to be soaked off not peeled off mind you I sat there soaking for 30-35 minutes which it only takes 15 minutes max to take the Shellac off and the young lady Na whatever you do don't let her paint your nails polish all around my cuticle needless to say i will never ever go back to CA Nails. read more
