Loved this place, they have a HUGE backyard. Service was great pour server was very attentive, dog friendly. It is a family style place so don't expect Michelin star quality, but they have a large menu and everything was cooked perfectly. Great bar with great martinis. We decided to go here based on a recommendation from someone we met at our tee time. He told us we had to try the ravioli and it definitely did not disappoint! We wish ordered 2 of these since it came with 5 raviolis. The brown butter really elevated the dish and we end up soaking up our bread with it. We also ordered the Carbonara pizza which was also pretty good! There's a nice outdoor patio where we saw folks bring their pets. We did end up sitting inside because we were a little cold. One thing to note was that you are able to get one refill of bread but after that their charge $3/basket. read more

When visiting the Santa Barbara area we decided to stop by Ca' Dario. When walking into the established we were welcomed in right away. The ambiance of the restaurant was classy and clean. We decided to sit outside in the terrace because the weather was beautiful that day. They not only brought out bread for us but also asked if we'd like a second helping of it. We ordered the Margherita (Pizza), Prosciutto Cotto (Pizza), and Fettuccine Alfredo with added Chicken. For drinks I got the unsweetened passion fruit iced tea which had a nice flavor and was very refreshing. All the food was delicious but the service was even better. The restaurant doesn't look too big from the outside but it actually has ample dining inside with bar counter seating as well as patio seating. We ordered Sottocenere pizza. linguinette alle vongole, and pappardelle alla boscaiola. I loved the Sottocenere pizza the most. The combination of mushrooms, mozzarella and truffle oil on this delicious pizza crust was fabulous. The pappardelle alla boscaiola very flavorful and the pappardelle was cooked perfectly. I felt the linguinette alle vongole was good but a bit too salty. Service was ok, could have been better . After my water was refilled, it tasted differently from the first glass I had tasted. There was a disgusting after taste which I immediately pointed out to our waiter. His response to me was that he could give me a new water but it would taste the same because it all came from the same place. I was annoyed by his response and just told him to forget it as we were about to pay for our bill and I had my water bottle in the car. But I felt strongly that he should have just believed me, apologize politely and just give me a new glass of water. So unfortunately that left a negative memory for me. If I'm in Santa Barbara again , I would dine there again because the food was very good. read more

This place is delicious in an unassuming spot of the Target mall. The interior is actually quite nice and they have outdoor seating that is private, quiet, and peaceful. The dishes are delicious and comparable to the other location in Santa Barbara. The bolognese is full of flavor and the pasta is perfectly al dente. The seafood is cooked well and the raviolis are also exactly as I remember them. Service was good, nothing to complain about. There is never a lot of people inside so you likely won't have to wait. We had the pleasure of having our Christmas Eve Dinner here, and even as a large family group, they were very accomodating and their service was seamless. Thank you to our server Marina who was spot-on with food suggestions, and she made sure we all were happy during this special night. Her support staff was also very friendly and helpful. I am visiting from out of town and found myself looking for a place to eat that was typically after lunch hours but before dinner. I was lucky to find this spot. Everyone was very nice. The next day, we were in Goleta again. We were so enthralled by our previous experience, we decided to go to Ca'Dario again. We split a fresh, crisp Caesar salad and a pizza capricciosa with artichokes, burrata, olives, mushrooms, and prosciutto. The ingredients were super generous, leaving us totally satisfied. As it happened, we had just met some new friends and we asked them where we could take them for their birthday lunch. They said that their favorite restaurant is Ca'Dario in Montecito. But I have had it with the greediness! I ordered their Tortellacci pasta tonight 'to go' for dinner, and this is what I got. I put my hand in this picture for size reference. And my hands are quite small! This was a TINY leftovers size tin that was only about a QUARTER full. It is ridiculous to pay $30 for an entree, and to still be super hungry after eating it. That's the bottom line here. It took me about 5 minutes to eat this little bit of pasta (the tiny bites of ham seem like just a garnish), and no bread or anything came with this meal. (It's actually a huge stretch to call this a meal.) I know prices are high everywhere, but $30 for an appetizer size amount of PASTA is way over the top. And I am still so hungry. Everything was delicious, even the free bread which was really good ciabatta. I ordered the spinach and ricotta ravioli and it was great. The restaurant extends all around a centrally located kitchen so if you're at the entry door don't judge how popular it is from the number of people you can see seated- it goes all the way around the back. The service in person was great. I called ahead of time to make the reservation and the wait staff member on the phone was super distracted and kept getting our reservation time wrong. I was afraid the rest of the experience was going to be similar, but she was the exception luckily. read more

We visited 230 pm Christmas Eve for my daughter's 28th birthday. Theres was an army of cooks getting ready for dinner and a few diners a this odd hour. We had a carafe of good wine shared among 4 people the 4th wasnt much of a drinker Lilly. It was good the waitress recommended it. We ordered 2 garden salads split between 4 people and they served bread with oil and vinegar. For the main course I had linguine and clams , mom had eggplant Parmesan, Érica hand Edwin had entrees which very good and they finished them but I don't recall the name. First time at Ca' Dario. What can I say. Everything was wonderful. The ambiance, the atmosphere, wonderful and relaxing. Right from the start the service was excellent. They made sure we had water or carbonated water and our drinks came right away. Very good bread with olive oil and balsamic and fresh Parmesan... yummm. I had the 20oz Ribeye with the northern beans. My wife had the Eggplant Parmesan And Asparagus. I have to tell you the food was top notch. I don't say that very often. The steak was Medium rare as ordered. Perfect. I felt the whole time the staff were trying to make us feel as comfortable as possible. And that's hard to find these days. So Bravo Ca' Dario we will def be coming back. read more

We had a seat on the patio; I would be wary of the temperature when deciding where to sit, as although they had heaters, it was still rather cold! Ca Dario is a hidden gem in Goleta. Even as local, we forget sometimes it's there because it's a hidden place. However, it's is a place worth dining. The dishes are what you'd expect from some fine dining places but definitely with casual environment and consistently friendly staff. Their branzino which is often hard to find is a favorite. Their risotto and lasagna are really, really good. The portions are worth the price as well. Actually, this is one of the places where the UCSB bring their campus guests so that should tell you something about the quality and reputation. I highly recommend this place! read more

We came here for dinner while on a weekend away in Goleta. We were very happy with the service and the restaurant is a nice cute somewhat laid back place to get good Italian food. The food overall was good and we would come back but there were a few small things that could be improved. My wife got the Fusilli Tartufati and this was delicious definitely the best of the two dishes we got. I got the Spaghetti Alle Vonge and enjoyed it quite a bit. However it was a bit spicier than I anticipated and there was just a bit too much garlic in my opinion. I'd still get the dish again but maybe ask for a bit less garlic. For drinks I had a glass of white wine that the server recommended and liked it quite a bit. My wife got her favorite cocktail an aperol spritz but it was made with lemon which isn't usual and they made it not very good unfortunately. For desert we got the Tiramisu and it was delicious! All the food was very fresh and tasty we would definitely come back if we're in town again. read more

I only gave 4/5 stars bc the portions are small for the price ($23 for my dish) which I had to force myself not to finish so I could try it when it's cold and for extra bread, it's a $2.50 charge (they started us off with 4 pieces). How do I say "The absolutely worst service at a restaurant that I have ever had!". Booked a table for 11 for Saturday nighty at 7pm. Young man came out to take our drink orders. Got the first two people and then left for ten minutes until I went and found him and asked him to get the rest of the orders. Ordered main courses, which trickled out of the kitchen over 20 minutes. One order completely forgotten and served much later. Three in the party ordered wine by the glass; two came out filled to the brim, one came out filled about 25%. I ordered the grilled veal chop and others pasta dishes. A completely different waiter came out and started taking dishes away before people had finished them. I had to ask him to bring them back. I was 2/3's done the veal chop and almost everyone else had already had their plates removed. I had my mouth full and was cutting into the veal chop and the waiter came out, look at me, and asked "Are you all done, sir?". He proceeded to try and take my plate away, which I grabbed and we had a tug of war over. As he walked away, he said "Anyone want dessert?", and didn't wait for an answer. Thirty seconds later he put the check almost on my plate. I finished the veal chop and walked to find the waiter. I asked to talk with the manager. He took about 5 minutes to find a young lady who came over and said that she wasn't the manager, but that she could "call him on the phone". I paid the bill which included a required $55 tip for large parties. I have been to Ca"Dario in Santa Barbara perhaps twenty or thirty times and always had a wonderful meal and excellent service. DO NOT GO TO CA'DARIO GOLETA. Inexperienced and rude wait staff and they are guaranteed to ABSOLUTELY RUIN your evening. Oh, and the veal chop was massively fatty! We've been to the Ca'Dario locations in Santa Barbara and Montecito several times and were happy to find this one in Goleta when we needed dinner ideas close to my sister-in-law's house. We went on a Sunday at 6:00 with six adults and three children under three. An unwieldy party, for sure, but I was still kind of surprised at how obvious it was that the staff was not happy to see us. There was this palpable attitude like Ca'Dario was an upscale restaurant where one should think twice about bringing children. This struck me as a little bit laughable--the restaurant was in a giant suburban strip mall; there was a giant TV hung over the bar. Every other table we saw had either children or old people or both. The service wasn't outright hostile, but it was definitely off. There was a straight-up dirty fork at our table, which I took to the bar when I needed to order a drink and couldn't get anyone's attention. We also asked for a smaller fork for our three-year-old and were told there were none available until I asked whether they had any disposable flatware that they gave out with their pick-up orders. The plastic fork was an obvious solution that allowed our kid to eat his pasta without further complaint. The food and drink were good, on par with what we've had at the other locations. I had a glass of white wine and the linguine with scallop, asparagus, and truffle, both from the list of daily specials. They were solid. I also shared a burrata appetizer with my husband, which was great. I've never had a bad dish from Ca'Dario. It's a reliable place for a satisfying plate of pasta. We eat pretty often at the Ca'Dario in Montecito, which is both more elegant and less evidently hostile to children. The Goleta location was fine, but I don't feel a compelling need to go back. read more

Could have EASILY been 5 stars. Gonna bash a manager. Just keep reading... But first! I would like to say the whole experience here in general (up until incoming bash)was top-notch. I went on a random Tuesday night with my 8 year old. The service and attention she personally received were kind and very much appreciated. Sometimes, it's hard to find nicer places that treat kids like they aren't just appendage of their parents. The food was amazing. We ordered the quail and house soup. It all started going a little sideways with dessert. I will say the lava cake was delicious, but we ordered it specifically for the lava appeal. Kid was so full at that point and wasn't even pushing for dessert. She was going to pass on anything more altogether until the lava cake was mentioned, so we went for it. Upon cutting into it to reveal the gooey molten center, we were met with a very moist, but a very much solid, inside. Kid was disappointed. I got our servers' attention the next time she walked by(made sure we didn't eat the dessert aside from the initial taste test) and politely explained the situation. She was great and took our plate to the kitchen. The next thing I know, I've got the manager plopping the plate back down in front of us, and flashing the menu, exclaiming that "while it may seem like it was a lava cake, *lava* is actually just the *kind* of chocolate, so it's not actually the kind of *cake*." Uum. That's a weird way of phrasing, "We over cooked a batch, and I don't want to lose money on a $14 dessert." Due to not wanting to embarrass my extremely non confrontational child by pointing out the bullshit directly TO Mr. Insulting Doo Doo Head while in a fairly close quarters and crowded restaurant.....and since we very much enjoyed the previous atmosphere.....and REALLY not wanting his creepy epstine island vibes(sorry, but skeezy-stuffy-bullshitter-that-thinks-hes-getting-away-with-blatant-dumbassery fits that bill...) around me any longer than necessary, I chose to, instead, smile and send him off. I then started to (only a little louder than normal...) converse with my child on what a lava cake is, how it's made, pics and articles off Google, and how some people just choose the wrong speech before knowing their audience. I will be back. I will order that lava cake again. And if it's molten, and if Mr. DDH is working, you bet your ass I'm sending it back and speaking with him about undercooking baked goods read more
