The staff on-site was great. Diego kept checking in with me and being transparent. They did a very clean job. Left not one spec of dust behind. The only thing I want to call out is that original inspection came back with one quote, and on site they said I needed more done upstairs. I would of hoped they caught that prior-- so we opted out for now. But I'm not taking down the stars because I don't know the complexity of finding more damage when you're actually in there. Service Requested. Needed to replace and upgrade my insulation to R-38. Selected this vendor after requesting several bids. Quality. Installation of insulation went well. Crew of two workers and one supervisor were here from approximately 10:30 AM to 6 PM. They did not disturb me while working in my office. They covered entrance to attic with plastic and managed to transport product through upstairs window. No damage to home. Minor bits of insulation were on floor but not a problem to clean up. One minor issue: I was expecting them at 8 AM but they arrived at 10 AM. Crew was from Tracy and work was here in Sacramento. If you select them, ask where will the crew be coming for day of work and expected arrival time. Value. Selected this group based on comparing the five bids submitted and prior Yelp Reviews. They were neither the highest or the lowest bid but in-between. Their bid also included installation of bluetooth operated fan to keep attic cool during hot days which was cheaper than other bids. It was higher than the other quotes, but CA Attic is actually licensed and insured, which was something I needed especially because my job required roof work. Manuel, came out with his partner and actually did the job. He was quick, clean, efficient, courteous, and importantly he documented the project before and after with photos and videos. My crawl space was a mess. Rats had torn up installation and ducts, there was soil mold and everything was damp. They replaced the whole unit including duct work back in November and did it in a timely manner. They were all very friendly and trust worthy answering all of our questions. The heater worked great and kept us warm. Now that it's getting hot outside we started using the ac and the whole house was in the perfect 70's except for my room. Our home was built in 1941 and depending upon the season, has always had trouble staying warm or cool. I chose CA Attic Solutions after seeing their work on Yelp, plus they're local. Their responsiveness was amazing. Professionally dressed representative provided a detailed explanation of our current situation and a reasonable quote for the work I requested. They then responded with Immediate text, email and calls with updates, arrival times, even that they were in route. Job preparation and clean up were completed before and after the work, for each of the two days they were working. Don't get me wrong, having your old insulation removed is noisy and messy, especially since my old cellulose insulation had turned into dust. It measured only 3" before being replaced. With a spotless attic, they sealed all cracks and openings with spray foam and began to insulate to my requested R49 blown in fiberglass insulation. Recently I noticed that my dryer is taking too long to dry the clothes, and I took a look at the dryer vent outside and it was fully clogged from what I can see. It has a fine mesh on the vent that prevents the lints to go out. I have no idea how to take off the mesh and clean the vent so I called Kamal. I called him after hours and he still answered my call and scheduled my appointment. Kamal and Sultan arrived early the next morning. They work very efficiently. They took a quick look at the outside and took off the mesh, they then cleaned the dryer vent hose completely for us too. After the work was done, they also did a good job to cleanup. The service was efficient and responsive, but Nadim is not to be trusted. In addition to the attic work, they replaced our old whole house fan. The new one was a smaller ceiling footprint, which he knew, but on site they told me it would be extra to patch the hole. Without paying extra they would have left a gaping hole in my ceiling. When they put the new fan in, the put it on the left of the hole. When I asked for it centered to the hallway I was told of course they had always planned to center it, they were just putting it there to get started. It was trimmed already on the non-hole side! When I asked about the 8-hr timer noted in the proposal, he had to look up the proposal to double check what he promised. When confirmed we walked out to the truck where he showed me a timer switch and explained that it would be installed in the ceiling, and preset for a time limit. That seemed weird but he's the expert, right? The next thing I know his employee was tapping on a random wall in my hallway to install two new switches--without discussing with me! When I caught him I was told by his staff that the timer should be installed in the house next to a new high/low/off switch. They were going to put in a new switch (again, without discussing it with me) because they didn't have a switch box large enough to add a switch to the existing plate. So not only were they going to put a new hole in my hallway wall without asking, they were going to leave a dead switch. The topper to all this was when I was told our HVAC ducts had leaks and they could replace them for $6500. They CAUSED the leaks when they did the attic work. There was zero airflow in the attic before, but somehow it was our problem to fix. We declined and had a trusted professional fix the ducts. When I requested a partial refund, I was rejected and told to read the terms and conditions. read more

I don't usually write reviews but wanted to do this for Kamal so that I can support his small business, especially during this difficult time. My dryer's warning light came on recently saying that the vent was 80% clogged. I was so worried because this was the first time it's happened after moving into a place that has laundry. Luckily, I found Kamal!!! He was super responsive, professional, honest, and a hard worker!
