Best thing we have ever done!!…read more Not only is Allison so knowledgeable and passionate about teaching our babies the key survival skills to handle water interactions, she goes out of her way to make each session fun and enjoyable ~which if you've ever watched a lesson, is not always the case because it's all business in the pool~. We had both of our girls in her spring session and it was a joy to get to see them gain confidence in themselves and learn what to do in the water. The growth in the 6 week period is astounding. If not just for the fun activity to keep these crazy toddlers busy, I believe it also helped them gain their independence and helped us feel like we've prepared them to the best of our ability by signing up and attending lessons with Allison. ISR with Allison, in my opinion, is the only true type of swimming lesson worth your time and money in the area. We researched all other programs offered in the midland/Odessa area and they're not comparable to ISR with Allison.

I went to speak with Mr.Esikati about what I needed to do to complete the course from central Texas and he (an old married man) proceeded to HIT ON ME (a 17 year old girl), telling me that I was "sexy" and other nonsense whilst offering me no solution. Needless to say, I got out of there as soon as possible. Several weeks later, my mother and I requested a portion of the $400 paid for the course back due to incompletion and we received no compliance from Mr.Esikati. While I was assigned one instructor, (who by the way is awesome), all of the instructors Floris has selected are helpful, knowledgable, patient, approachable and professional. All of them helped me a lot in one way or another. I'm very proud of my accomplishment and I could not have done it without them. This place is also referred to as the Watersong Wild Space. The weather could not have been more perfect on that Sunday, January 4, 2026. It's not the most amazing place due to the dry climate and flat lands, but for Midland it was a cool find - plus it was all free. Free parking. Free entrance. I could definitely hear the droning tires on the Interstate nearby, but viewing nature was refreshing. A caliche road leads to the parking lot. Look out for mesquite trees that might scratch your vehicle up if you get too close. The biggest drawback had to be that dogs are not allowed. No bicycles allowed either. Just please have your party dispose of their trash properly at the main pedestrian entrance. Closed on Monday.
