We honestly couldn't have asked for a better first experience! I especially want to recognize two employees because they truly made our visit so special. Aubrey was absolutely wonderful from the moment we arrived. Since it was our first time, she made sure we felt welcomed, helped us understand everything, and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. She was so sweet, attentive, and genuinely made us feel comfortable. You can tell when someone truly cares about making families feel welcome, and Aubrey definitely gave us that feeling! Lexi was also amazing! What stood out to me was how naturally she interacted with the kids...not just ours, but pretty much every kid around her. She was playing with them, engaging with them, and making sure they were having fun, and you could tell the kids absolutely LOVED being around her. She has such a natural way with children, and it was so sweet to see. You can genuinely tell that she loves what she does and enjoys working with kids. Having employees like Aubrey and Lexi really makes a difference. They turned what could have just been a fun day out into such a welcoming and memorable experience for our family. We left already talking about when we could come back! Thank you, Aubrey and Lexi, for making our first visit such a great one. You both are amazing and deserve to be recognized! Holy cow! How does this park not have any reviews?!!! So we are somewhat new to midland and my kids…read moreand I have been visiting the same 2 playgrounds since we've gotten here. Wanting to venture out and see what else was out there I went to the Midland parks and recreation website and found a list of playgrounds in the area. We decided to go to Grafa Park today and WOW! It. Is. AWESOME!! The playground is HUUUUUUGE! There is so much to do on it: climb, slide, explore! It's super tall too (which, with a 18mo, I had to get up there with him because the openings for the ladders make me SUPER nervous.) But, hey, it was so much fun for me too!!! The slides are GREAT! There is also a huge walking track around the reservoir(???) I think that's what it is. My kids (and I) LOVED it! We brought a sub sandwich, chips and our drinks and had a picnic at one of the many picnic tables here. There are also plenty of benches and shade trees too! So glad we found this park! We can't wait to come back!!!!

This is a very sweet park which we are so happy to have found! It's not so big but there's a…read morewonderful play structure on one end and a big lawn with a walking trail on the perimeter. And best of all, lots of SHADY TREES! We've found an evening walk here to be a nice way to wind down the day. It's very relaxing as there's often a cool breeze funneling under the trees and a high gate between the park and the road to protect from all the cars. Nestled enough within a neighborhood that it isn't dusty (locals know what I'm saying!) and full of people playing with their dogs and families until sun down, so it feels very safe. About the dogs - they've always been good boys and girls and we have had no problems at all with them. However, we have found a lot are actually off leash when they play so just an FYI, if it's not your thing.

The trail is so west TX with mesquite trees and dry dirt everywhere. We saw a cute quail flying by and then scurrying across the trail. The dogs loved it and there's also a dog park for them across the street. The nature center is also next to a golf course. It was a great start to our day and beautiful watching the sun rise.

As a stay at home mom of 3, we have been trying out new playgrounds around the area. (I went to the…read moreMidland Parks and Rec website and got a list of the playgrounds/parks... this one looked decent from the pic so we decided to give it a try.) Upon arrival, kids were excited. We had the playground all to ourselves! They ran to it and unfortunately were super bored after like 5 minutes. It was a bummer that there aren't any swings at this playground... my littlest can spend hours on the swings alone. While the kids played, it didn't help that it was like "only" 80 degrees out and the slides were SCORCHING HOT. I couldn't imagine in the dead of summer. This playground definitely shows a ton of wear. Not sure when they put it up but the hot Texas sun has destroyed the surface. There are a number of benches for the adults. One of which was on a giant slant. Not sure what was going on with that... All in all, I don't think we'll be returning to this playground. My kiddos had more fun playing in the dirt under a giant tree than playing on the equipment. We'll try some more!

Pioneer Park is a nice little hidden city park. I like that it's close by our home. The kids seem…read moreto enjoy the play equipment... I personally don't think there is a *ton* to do on it. Miracle play equipment includes: 1 big slide, 1 little slide, 2 big kid swings, 2 baby swings, 1 saucer swing, a couple climbing ladders, those "weird 3 ball climbing thingies" and a "cat walk" type thing. I do like that the playground has that squishy rubber ground cover in case of falls. There are also some workout equipment for adults including an arm press, rowing machine, leg press and a "gazelle" type thing. A decent-sized walking track goes around the area as well. Not sure how long this park has been around but it appears that it used to have a bunch of trees here but the empty open squares throughout the concrete leads me to believe many of the trees died. 2 picnic tables and numerous benches are here as well. There is an older single soccer field here as well. Only 1 goal remains which leads me to believe they don't play real games here. A youth soccer team was practicing while my kids played on the playground. Usually there is no one here when we come. All in all, a decent playground to mix it up. Not the greatest but I like that it's usually just to ourselves.

Everything was good up until the point where i took my kids to the play area(where they have the trampolines) There was this guy supervising the area, he might have been a teenager or early 20s ,, asked me why my kids were "stubborn" i was shocked as to why someone that is supposed to have patience with kids being that he is working in the kids area, expressed liked that about my kids..immediately after that i went to manager.. (i dont think it was manager) but the lady was helpful she immediately send the guy home. I had left my husband watching the kids in the play area...When i come back it turns out that that same guy had told my husband that" why do they keep coming back " ( my kids to the trampoline area) mind you it was $35 for unlimited play in trampoline and playground area ...my husband defended himself and told him "because i paid." Cashiers were nice,,, that moment in the trampoline with that guy just ruined it...they have him working in the wrong area..

This place is also referred to as the Watersong Wild Space. The weather could not have been more perfect on that Sunday, January 4, 2026. It's not the most amazing place due to the dry climate and flat lands, but for Midland it was a cool find - plus it was all free. Free parking. Free entrance. I could definitely hear the droning tires on the Interstate nearby, but viewing nature was refreshing. A caliche road leads to the parking lot. Look out for mesquite trees that might scratch your vehicle up if you get too close. The biggest drawback had to be that dogs are not allowed. No bicycles allowed either. Just please have your party dispose of their trash properly at the main pedestrian entrance. Closed on Monday.
