In fact, it's so amazing that I even became an instructor here after walking in and seeing everything. Everyone is super friendly, very well informed, energetic and happy to help! The gym itself includes several well maintained pools; a dive pool where our local athletes train, and compete. Shallow water Mabee pool has gym & swim for kids lessons, adult cardio classes and family swim. The FMH pool has lap swim lanes for athletes and members to swim. The aerobics pool is where the majority of the aerobics classes are held throughout each day, those include, deep water aerobics, HiiTide and independent exercise time slots. There is also the wellness pool where the water temp is kept a little higher than the other pools, in compliance with arthritis recommendations for water walking, physical therapy rehab, as well as arthritis, ai chi, poolates and functional fitness classes. There is also a large state of the art physical therapy department and full gym at this location. And finally the land classes are nothing short of incredible! Barre, let's dance, yoga and more. No lack of options, trainers, lifeguards or instructors at COM Aquatics. Everything you could need all in one place. The front office staff is very knowledgeable and helpful in giving the needed information to get you to the department or plan that fits your needs best.

Nonetheless, there was plenty of available seating on a Wednesday night (6/2). Parking was easy and free. Tickets were $16 to sit right behind home plate (you do not need to buy tickets ahead of time online if you're going to a weekday game, as there were barely a couple hundred people to fill the stands). At first, we were told that based on the section we bought tickets in, that we could get free popcorn, peanuts, and soft drinks. This was not the case. The free goodies were in fact for groups that had wristbands and were part of employers or families that had bought picnic packages. There were plenty of other options anyways that were reasonable - BBQ sandwiches, hot dogs, corn dogs, nachos. I had gotten the big Bushbaby Bush's chicken sandwich for $5.50. I wish I had kind of waited and made a decision after I had walked around to all the food stops, as I'm not kicking myself that I didn't get a chance to try the famous peanut butter jelly bacon hot dog. Wanting to venture out and see what else was out there I went to the Midland parks and recreation website and found a list of playgrounds in the area. We decided to go to Grafa Park today and WOW! It. Is. AWESOME!! The playground is HUUUUUUGE! There is so much to do on it: climb, slide, explore! It's super tall too (which, with a 18mo, I had to get up there with him because the openings for the ladders make me SUPER nervous.) But, hey, it was so much fun for me too!!! The slides are GREAT! There is also a huge walking track around the reservoir(???) I think that's what it is. My kids (and I) LOVED it! We brought a sub sandwich, chips and our drinks and had a picnic at one of the many picnic tables here. There are also plenty of benches and shade trees too! So glad we found this park! We can't wait to come back!!!!

This is a very sweet park which we are so happy to have found! It's not so big but there's a…read morewonderful play structure on one end and a big lawn with a walking trail on the perimeter. And best of all, lots of SHADY TREES! We've found an evening walk here to be a nice way to wind down the day. It's very relaxing as there's often a cool breeze funneling under the trees and a high gate between the park and the road to protect from all the cars. Nestled enough within a neighborhood that it isn't dusty (locals know what I'm saying!) and full of people playing with their dogs and families until sun down, so it feels very safe. About the dogs - they've always been good boys and girls and we have had no problems at all with them. However, we have found a lot are actually off leash when they play so just an FYI, if it's not your thing.

Grown men (see the pictures) are swimming in their normal outside clothes. One man was wearing a full on button snap shirt, he looked like he was going to dinner after. There was one in jean shorts that I could not get a picture of. A lot of children are just wearing their underwear. I also saw a man, one day in underwear. These things are odd and gross and I personally think at a pool this nice should be enforced. The rules are very clearly stated on the front when you pay.

Nice baseball, soccer, and softball fields and general grassy areas. You can book the fields in advance for private games or for more recreational, group sports and there are bright lights in the evening to light up the fields (necessary when the day is 102!). No picnic tables or very much shade though, so probably not the best for just hanging out.

You can rent a gun if you don't have one along with the ammo. For $40 per 100 shots including taxes, this was a great deal even as a non member. Their shop was well stocked and the club house was very impressive and clean. Staff was super and I look forward to take more friends out there. You can even plan events over here. There was one going on but there were still enough stations for other shooters to enjoy the course without any delay or wait. One word of advise, always stay hydrated and carry water especially if you are not on the golf cart. Being in west Texas with the drought, each station doesn't have a water cooler as we usually do in Houston. The farthest station is 1.2 miles away so it can be a challenge. That being said, amazing course and really nice being out there. Make the most of your weekend and go out there. Request: for all the avid shooters, please be courteous to the staff and collect the spent shells and put them in the bin. I am sure the crew would appreciate the gesture and not having to bend to pick these up over 40 station would help them keep the maintenance fees low.

You park right next to the dog park and you can easily walk around the interior of the fence line it looks very well-maintained and there are not a lot of biological landmines which is always important!!
