The other company's estimate came back a little high, so when my friend told me about Triangle Repair Group, I decided to check them out. And I'm so glad I did! I used their website to request an appointment, and their customer service representative, Alex, called me soon after to schedule a technician to see what was going on. The tech, Paul, quickly identified that the issue with my 2.5-ton Rheem package unit was a leaking evaporator coil. He showed me the problem (you could hear it audibly hissing!) and asked if he could follow up that afternoon with a quote to replace the coil. Paul was friendly and helpful and explained things at an appropriate pace. Alex sent me a quote later that day. I was surprised when the cost came back significantly lower than the other company: turns out the part was covered under warranty! I was pretty happy they found that out. Since I had to go out of town, and the HVAC was located entirely outside the house, I asked if I could schedule the repair for while I was gone. Sure enough, Paul was able to get the job done a couple days later. I came back to a comfortably cooled house. Because I'm "that guy," I decided to open up the HVAC to check out Paul's work. A+, super workmanship, clean job! I think and hope we'll be able to get many more years out of this system. I was very pleased with TRG, Paul, and Alex, and I look forward to using them again when I need repairs or a new system... though, obviously, I hope I don't need either anytime soon.

I was hoping to get just a couple minutes at most of someone's time to ask a few questions about the unit, but I was pleasantly surprised when Reggie, the service manager took upwards of an hour going over not just my system, but my ductwork and layout of my home in hopes of providing me maximum efficiency. I remind you, that I did not buy the equipment or have the install done by Tower Heating and Air, as I live about an hour away, but Reggie still took the time out of his incredibly busy morning to help me out. It is hard to find customer service like this these days, but Tower Heating & Air provides just that. They have gained a customer in me moving forward, as I will be contacting them about a new water heater in the very near future. Thank you again to Reggie and his team for going above and beyond for my family. -Travis

I can't say enough good things about Doug and Holm Heating & Cooling. I've used Doug before and…read morehave always been happy with his work, but this latest experience really showed the kind of customer service he provides. Our AC stopped cooling over the holiday weekend, so I sent Doug a text hoping I could get on his schedule after the holiday. He responded within minutes. After already working a long installation that day, Doug came to our house on Sunday at 6:00 PM because he wanted to make sure we had our AC back up and running. He quickly diagnosed the problem, had the part he needed right on his truck, and got everything working again that evening. I was honestly shocked that he was willing to come out that late on a Sunday--especially on a holiday weekend and after already putting in a full day. The fact that this level of customer service still exists is pretty incredible. Doug is knowledgeable, dependable, fair, and genuinely cares about taking care of his customers. As a repeat customer, experiences like this are exactly why I continue to call him and recommend him to others. I haven't contributed to Yelp in a long time, but logged back on just to share this experience. If you're in the area and need HVAC service, save Holm Heating & Cooling's information. Doug is the kind of person you want to have in your contacts when you need help. Highly recommend!

Finally, to give one last opportunity before I wrote a review, I called 2 weeks ago and was told the technician would call me back that day. Not surprisingly I heard nothing. I can only assume that the tech is assuming this job isn't worth his time as he'll make more elsewhere. Really wanted it to work out with these guys. I used Hobgood Mechanical during the recent sell of my house for a complete HVAC system check-up. I…read morewas a For Sale By Owner, and wanted to make sure I had checks & balances and that everything was in order for the sale. Scheduling my appointment was quick and easy; Destiny was absolutely wonderful and offered premier customer service! The technician arrived a little early for the appointment time which was great with my busy schedule that day. He was warm and friendly, and the check-up didn't take as long as I expected. After the check-up he walked me through and explained everything he checked and the condition of my HVAC unit, coils, and more. I felt comfortable that I chose the right company. During the closing of my house, the buyers continued to tell me they felt like there was something wrong with the a/c and wanted me to either replace the 5 year old unit, or reduce my selling price by $6,500 although the unit was cooling perfectly. To satisfy the buyers, Hobgood came out early again on a Saturday to check the unit with the buyers present; Robert at Hobgood inspected the HVAC again and told the buyers the unit was just fine. Later the following week, I received an invoice from the buyer's realtor for over $6,000 from Hobgood to replace the entire unit. The realtor told me that the coils, HVAC, and many other things needed to be replaced and the buyers wanted the that amount reduced off of the sales price or else they were going to cancel the contract. Confused by the entire situation, I called Hobgood and spoke with Destiny, who immediately called Robert to figure out what was really going on with my HVAC... Apparently, Robert told the buyers the HVAC system was just fine, then the buyers asked Robert to send them an invoice for the full price "Just incase" the complete HVAC system ever needed to be replaced. Then, the buyers sent that same invoice to me to demand a reduction of my sales price stating the unit had many problems. Upset, I immediately called the buyer's Realtor and told her what I learned from Hobgood and that I was not lowering my price one cent, I told her that they could cancel their contract if they wanted to because they were being so very shady in trying to get me to drop the price from day one. Needless to say, the buyers did cancel the contract since I refused to drop my sales price. My house did end up selling the very next month and the final buyers had absolutely no issues with the HVAC. Thanks to the honest business practices at Hobgood Mechanical, I ended up saving over $6,000 on the sale of my house. If you're looking for a company that is honest, has integrity, offers premier customer service, has competitive rates, and is conveniently located in Creedmoor, I highly recommend Hobgood to everyone! Thanks for everything Hobgood Mechanical!

I've had multiple experiences with this company over the last 4+ years. It started off well, until…read morethe problems started adding up. A whole new HVAC unit was installed in my attic by this company, they stepped off the rafters and put a hole in my ceiling. Okay, no big deal, but they fought us and tried to blame us for the hole. They ended up fixing it- thanks. Issue after issue with this NEW system. Replaced the mother board, flushed the system multiple times ($$$!!!) and nothing fixed it. Got a new company out- and they quickly assessed the problem- the thermostat wasn't talking to the system, so a $200 fix and the system is working. Next issue a bit later, the system stops working again. Come to find out there was never a secondary drain shut off installed, a new drip pan was not installed, it was caulked where there were cracks!! So as it filled with water, water leaked down two stories to the main floor and we have water issues on the main floor. They also didnt install the only PVC drain properly. They propped it up so it was higher than the lowest point so water would never drain out of it anyways. ABS has royally screwed us over. I will never work with them again. I highly recommend you think twice before you do, as well.
