Stopped here while in the area for an inspection. Convenient location. When I arrived the staff seemed professional and showed a willingness to assist. My car was immediately pulled into the service area. After that I waited for a while. A little over an hour. I'm use to a 20-30 minutes in and out. Several cars after me were finished way before mine (one having an inspection). No follow-ups during my wait. While I am appreciative of all the recommended maintenance services to keep my vehicle in good running conditions - the delivery of this report via email to me never happened. No estimates provided without me asking for the price of one specific part. The rep saying, oh very expensive....To me this tone came across as if a certain assumption was made on what's affordable. The communication was very odd to me if I came in only for a vehicle inspection. Had the report arrived via email as promised this experience would've been much better on my end. Lacked the promised email. No real value to report here inspections cost the same everywhere. They did not did not send over said report. Based on my experience, C&C wouldn't be at the top of my list for any of my vehicle repairs. Update 11/21/25: summary received a day after this review via email. read more

Let me just say this service center is a life saver and Tyler is top notch. Car broke down literally in the parking deck of the hospital as we waited for our baby to be born. Tyler called around and found a truck that could fit into the garage to tow and got all repairs done within a day so we could get discharged on time and for a reasonable price. Way overpriced! I should have gotten a second opinion, but I just didn't expect an auto shop to be so flagrant in their scamming. When I checked the bill they had charged me almost $2K in labor for a couple of easy jobs that should have only taken a few hours each. I think they may have been charging labor time for the car sitting there overnight. Don't go here, there are a lot of better shops! read more

I have taken my car here twice in the last couple months for issues and they have both times gotten me back on the road quickly and with out breaking my wallet! I told them what was wrong with my car, and brought it in for an appointment hopeful to get it repaired. After 6 hours and them not contacting me at all, I finally walked over and they had just started working on it. They made no repairs, and only regurgitated back to me what I had already told them the problem was. I used to be a big fan of this place but I will not be coming back. They overbook to try and get more people in but I really feel like they just took my money and wasted my time. read more

I could not love this place more. I can schedule my state inspection online and they respond almost immediately to confirm. I went in for my state inspection yesterday and they were SUPER FAST, SUPER HELPFUL, SUPER PROFESSIONAL. I've had experiences at auto mechanic shops before (as a female), employees trying to sell me on things I did not need. C&C has not ever tried that and I've been going for the last year. I brought an old car with a number of problems to C&C to get an evaluation to decide whether it was worth fixing up. They were ready to take it right away, and within a few hours I had a quote for the repairs. They found time to talk me through the needed fixes, and my decision about whether to fix the car or not. They were understanding, helpful, and the quote was priced at going rates. They were also fine with keeping the car overnight even when I declined the repairs, and had some useful advice about car makes/models to look out for when I picked it up. I took my car in to this shop because my check engine light came on and my car was running hot. They did the diagnoses and said my radiator needed to be replaced due to multiple cracks. They quotes me that the job would cost $860 to do everything. I could not drive the car somewhere else due to the overheating issue or more damage would happen to the car. I told them to fix it. I googled the average cost to get a radiator replaced in Raleigh and the averages showed between $150 - $750. So they charge much higher than other mechanic shops in the area. Secondly, I left my car there and they hit the garage door when backing my car out. They created a scratch marks on my car. They said they would fix it but they were highly unprofessional about it. They told me it would take a couple weeks at the minimum to get the job done. They lied to me saying that most shops could do the job for about 200 bucks, so they would just take $200 off my bill instead of fixing it. The only was highly rude and condescending to me the whole time, instead of explaining what we could have done, he was telling me I was wrong and he had more experience than me. If you want good customer service, look somewhere else. The owner will talk down to you and be rude to you if you try to speak with him. Take your car and money somewhere that deserves you. read more

As a business owner, I've learned the value of great customer service and I love it when I see companies that also value it as I do. C&C Auto Service is such a company and in my book they rank at the top of their industry. This past spring I was picking up my daughter from NC State and I needed to get some things fixed on her car before we starting our long drive home to Chicago. I was short on time and I was concerned that I would be an easy target for a service center to overcharge me. Instead C&C people were extremely helpful, they limited their work to only what I needed and the bill was very reasonable for the work they performed. In addition, while I was waiting for them to finish, I observed them helping another customer. The customer was a 20 something women who was driving a late model Toyota. I overheard the technicians tell her, "I could fix it for you, however, it will cost you several hundred dollars and this repair should be covered under your vehicle warranty. I suggest that you save the money and take it to a Toyota dealer." I was stunned with his honesty and immediately knew I had found the right repair shop. Their honesty, knowledge of cars and focus on giving the customer what they need, puts them in a class of their own...what a great experience! I would highly recommend them!!!!! read more

Appointments are extremely easy to book with C&C and I've had great experiences at both of my appointments. The first time they gave me a price estimate before going through with the process of replacing my rear brake pads and rotors. I was there less than an hour and they were extremely efficient and friendly. Over the past month, my car has been dealing with an odd issue/noise from backing up. I had another shop look at it and they were unable to replicate the noise and figure it out. I was able to book an appointment right away. C&C spent about an hour with my car at my second appointment, did a little bit of work on my car - taking apart a few things and reconfiguring - and resolved the issue. They told me to let them know as well if the sound came back and did not even charge me for the service. Thank you guys for always being so helpful! read more

Scott and Robert are beautiful people. They serviced and repaired several of my vehicles. Chuck was an awesome guy at the service desk. But one day Chuck was gone and then there was old-fart Charles. Charles is why I am not a customer anymore, which is a shame. I must have reminded Charles of some chick that did him wrong in 1982 because he told me "You need to start going to the dealer." Well, I may or may not "start going to the dealer" but I certainly could not ever return there. Also, I bought 2 ACDelco batteries for 2 different vehicles. Both batteries died in less than one year. One of those batteries was completely dead in 4 months. These 2 batteries died after Charles told me to basically go the hell away. So, not a great experience for me. I love this place. Both my boyfriend and myself have taken our vehicles here several times over the past three years and have been more than pleased every time. Once my car hit 110,000mi I decided to take it in to have a checkup and they were very thorough. Then recently, I started hearing a creaking noise towards the front right of the vehicle so I decided to take it by. They took it out to try to recreate the issue, then let me drive to make sure we were hearing the same thing. They asked a lot of questions about the care and maintenance on the car to ensure they had the full picture also (I do most of my work myself). They're not one of those shops that will tell you that you need things you don't. They're not there to gouge you for money, they really just want to get you back out on the road safely and I appreciate that. $93 to diagnose. $ 800 for plugs and two coil packs. No thanks. Went to Tommy down the street. $ 442 for same and he cleaned the corrosion off my battery and gave me a lift home. BS on the comment. I have the written estimate and I do know about cars and what it takes and costs to replace plugs and coil packs. Tommy does not use aftermarket parts either. Very shady business. Guy behind the counter, whose name I won't mention, said he would give me a discount but I would have to pay in cash and he would not be able to give me a receipt. What does that tell you? Edit: I was disappointed to learn that Chad is the owner of C&C. I just want to say that I have no interest in slandering a man or his business. In fact, I detest slander because it is dishonest, and it because of dishonesty that I created this post and gave this business a 1 star rating. Whether or not he has any recollection, I can tell you that this did indeed occur as I do remember it clearly. I rarely give fade back to any business/company that i dealt with, but after going to C&C and experience the best service it has to be known. Not only they are professional, they were honest with the findings and fair with the price. They also try to work with your schedule and even take you to back home if you don't have a ride. And when the fixed my car, they took it to my work so I don't have to go to get an uber. Now.... that is customer service. read more

I'd give C&C 5 stars again & again! My brakes were giving me issues for weeks & after driving cross country, I continued to hear a screeching sound everytime I braked. I found C&C on Yelp & brought my car in. Turns out, the previous mechanic did a poor job at fixing my brakes which were causing major issues. Not only did Chad & the C&C mechanics fix my car, but they went above & beyond by calling the previous mechanic and their corporate offices to ensure I didn't have to foot the bill & constantly communicated with me so I was aware of each update. Honestly, this was one of the best auto service experiences I've ever had. One of the things I look for when I take my car in is whether the company gives me specific recommendations on what to do - not give me a list of 54 things that I could do. I want a personal touch and authenticity when I take my car in and I want someone to give me recommendations based on what THEY would do if they were in my shoes. C & C Auto Service did just that. My husband found C & C over a dozen years ago. Since then then my son & I have also relied on Chad, Scott, Jason & the crew to keep our cars in good condition. Since my husband & I own cars in their older teenage years, upkeep & maintenance is crucial to keeping them going (us too). We have found this team to provide honest, fairly priced & quality repairs & service over the dozens of times we've used them. They don't try to upsell & add on costs. They have at times found minor issues when we thought there was a significant problem. They let you know when they can do the repairs (which is almost always within a day or two) & they get the job done, & done properly. They also offer a yearly membership to get 4 oil changes, wiper blades, a discount off the state inspection, & a percentage off higher cost repairs. Yay C & C! I've reviewed this place elsewhere but need to get on the record with the treatment. A few years ago I took my car here for an oil change after cross referencing reviews online. I needed full synthetic for my car so I bought the oil myself to save a few bucks and let them do the rest. The oil cap was never tightened and within less than a week my oil light came on. When I took it back pointing this out and demanding they make it right they made me PAY FOR THE OIL CHANGE AGAIN. Saying they couldn't be held responsible. My entire engine could have been blown and they were the last people to touch the mechanics. BOOOOOOOOOO. Do not recommend. read more

Went here today for the first time...I was a little leery because of the reviews by folks who only have reviewed C & C and nothing else. Great experience though! Went in without an appointment, had no problems getting my oil changed within half an hour, and they were more than glad to use the oil and filter I brought, which lowered my total bill to $20! They also checked the code for my check engine light and told me which one it was. Super friendly service, clean and serviceable (and air conditioned!) waiting room. Overall, a great experience with some honest, upfront car guys. Only four stars just because this was my first and only visit so far. read more

Absolutely phenomenal customer service. I needed to replace my driver's side, side mirror -- on the day before Thanksgiving. I knew my chances of finding a garage that could get their hands on the one I needed AND have the time to attach it were slim. I fully expected to have to procure a mirror myself. As you can imagine, I spoke with a lot of harried, harassed, and downright rude individuals that day. Every garage I called curtly informed me they either didn't have the part and/or could not get it done that day. They didn't actually say the word 'stupid' at the end of their sentences but you their tones implied it. When I called C & C Auto, Scott was kind and informative and wasn't trying to get me off of the phone like the guy at another popular, highly rated garage was. Scott got points just for his kindness. If he would have said they could not have scheduled me for service that day, I was already grateful for his service. As it was, he told me they could do the job. Right when I was going to tell him I'd call back as soon as I found a mirror, he told me he would call one of their suppliers to see if they had the part. I was speechless. He actually said it as if that was the business' normal MO. I know now that it is. He not only found the part, he also had to drive close to an hour to pick it up. When I got there, he was just as friendly and helpful. He told me how long it would take and then pointed out nearby restaurants where I could grab some lunch as it was around that time. He made sure he had my mobile number so he could call me when my car was ready. I mentioned that I might need a car inspection soon and if so, might as well get it done while I was there. He checked the DMV and my inspection was due two months prior. Oops. Scott informed me that a mechanic would do the inspection but he could take a cursory look at it. He had noticed my front tires didn't have enough tread to pass the inspection. When he took a closer look he found a nail! Even I know that could have blown out at any time.The other front tire was almost as bad.. Scott again called around to find the tires that I needed and went to pick them up. That's the second errand he ran for me. To top it all off, the prices were good as well. This place is honestly out of my way but I will make the time to use this garage whenever I need something done to my car. They have more than earned my loyalty and respect. read more

My Prius was giving me a warning & check engine light. Since I work at NCSU, I took it to C & C so they could pull the error code from the onboard computer. In a short time, they pulled the code and even made a call to a import shop. They told me the other shop said to look into a recall for the part that was in alarm. In my opinion, they could have told me I needed work done and I would have been none the wiser. Though C & C didn't do any repairs on my car, I appreciate when a business has honesty and integrity.
