I enjoy going to this store just to see what new things they have. When you enter the store the cashier always greets me and asks if there is something they can help me find. Even when they're busy the great me when I walk in! I get my feed for my chickens here and several times associates have offered to help me get it loaded in my cart and when I check out they offer to call someone to help me load it in my car. They have one gun counter guy that is awesome and really knows his products! All of them are very helpful and I have purchased a few guns from them over the years and so have my adult children. It is a smaller store and sometimes doesn't have the best stock but the people have always offered to call other stores to see if they have stock for me. For those that have had bad experiences here, I'm sorry to hear this but my visits have always been positive. read more

Came to this location today in order to find some items that were out of stock at another location. After first walking into the store, the cashier who saw us looked away and did not greet us. When looking for wood pellets for small animals. We circled the store location 2 times before we could even find an associate to ask where it would be located. When we asked where to find the item, the associate seemed more annoyed that we had asked him where to find it. He gave us an answer of "you have to go to the cashier, we don't leave that stuff around for people to just take". After this reply, I figured I'd just order online and pick it up at our normal location. While I was here I thought I'd look for some raw hide bones for our dog, to which this location seemed to not carry or were totally out of stock. Again, trying to find someone for assistance was more work then the reply was worth. This was my first visit to this location, it will also be the last time I come to this location. Customer service is a joke. They do not stock the store fully. This location was a total mess and not clean. read more

Tooele CAL Ranch is always helpful, even with my rediculous questions. Most of the time I go in there with no clue what I need and they always help me find it. Today the manager Michelle, was amazing. I've been searching everywhere for kids kayaks. And she not only took me to them, but also helped me out to my car with them. She was beyond friendly. Went in with my entire crew for boots, spent $1000. Didn't have my size, so they said get a bigger and we will order the right size, so u can exchange. Went 6 weeks then I went by , they immediately said it will be in Monday but didn't even ask my name. Went back in a week, they said we'll check and call you, never called. So tonight I went out looking for a pair of work boots for my husband. Before we left home, he grabbed a pair of his work socks and off we went to CAL Ranch. We found him a great pair of Ariat boots and proceeded to go to the front and check out. After my husband paid for his $164.00 pair of boots, he threw his socks into the box and we started out the door, when the lady at the register said "You got socks too?" Looking at my husband as if he stole them. Why we would come into your store and pay $164.00 and proceed to steal a pair of socks??? Now- if this store has a problem with people stealing from them, which is where I'm assuming her acquisition came from then it would be cheaper for CAL RANCH stores to put on thief devices on all their items rather than accusing customers- this is a VERY Expensive monitoring system that leads to customers NOT RETURNING!!! read more

This is so unacceptable. Baby chicks are dead and decomposing in with other chicks. We had to physically remove one from a feeder which was stuck and the other was dead. I had to place a tiny baby back in with chicks it's size and breed. Baby chicks were in with nearly full size chickens. The older chicks were killing tiny chicks and nearly eating them. All chicks water was covered in shavings. Their food was completely gone. Chicks were getting stuck inside the food containers. When I complained to an employee both teen boys laughed and didn't care that chicks were in horrible conditions and they were dying. It's not okay to just let chickens die and decompose and NOT REMOVE THEM. Who does this? Baby chicks are breaking their necks and dying. Why is this okay? Don't scoff at me when I have to take actions myself and remove hazardous containers where chicks are getting caught in and dying in. I will be taking further actions and calling a manager. This entire store is a mess and needs some improvement. If you are going to sell animals at least make it presentable... Don't scar children and let them see birds like this. Make the chicks seem happy and remove dead ones. Give them a continuous water supply and remove food containers that are empty. Then also keep baby chicks with babies and older chicks with older chicks. It's not that hard. Shame on you and your employees.. read more
