Ginger's Garden Cafe is absolutely one of them! I LOVE ginger, so naturally I had to try the orange carrot ginger drink, and it was amazing--fresh, bright, and exactly the kind of pick-me-up I wanted. It's surprisingly hard to find a really good beet salad these days, and theirs was exceptional. It was also a LOT of food, so I happily had some to take away. I also tried the falafel salad, and the falafels were delicious and juicy, with an amazing dressing and feta that brought everything together. What I especially loved was how I felt afterward. Everything tasted fresh and nourishing, and I walked away feeling energized rather than sluggish or weighed down like you can after eating at so many places. It was just a refreshing, guilt-free, feel-good meal. They have a really great menu with so many things I'd still like to try. Honestly, I wish places like this were chains instead of all the fast-food restaurants everywhere--I'd happily eat this way while traveling! Highly recommend giving Ginger's Garden Cafe a try. Their burritos and fries are my go-to favorites. The burritos are just top-notch, but I have a soft spot for their fries -- it's kind of an inside joke for me. Fries are usually just "fine" or "good," but theirs? They're very good. The owner is incredibly kind, and their baked goods are fantastic -- especially the peanut butter brownie, which I can't recommend enough. Their soft serve is also really good, and I'm excited to try some of their candy next time. I even took a non-vegan friend there, and he really enjoyed the food. Beyond the food, the team is so nice, and they have a little vegan market with some really cool products. I bought about half a pound of vegan bacon from them, and now I'm making all kinds of breakfast sandwiches at home. If you're in the area, whether you're vegan or not, Sweet Hazel is a must-visit. Karl is one of the reasons me and my family have come back to Root'd because of the connection he has made with my children and the genuinely kind soul he is. While I can't speak for others, Karl has always provided us with an amazing serving experience and has really made us feel at home at Root'd, while the food is great, his service is what has always stood out to me here. Before other people go judging him on one shitty night he had they should realize that he is just trying his best and one bad night does not define Karl, because I have seen so much more out of him. Imagine if you judged everyone based on one night off their life? Doesn't seem very fair, does it. I have gone to Root'd long enough to know the consistency and value that Karl brings to this company, and I hope everyone else can realize that too. I believe less is more and really enjoyed that it wasn't unnecessarily filled with too many ingredients. The two different sauces marinated in the bread and made each bite that much tastier. The bread was fresh and filling. Highly recommend if you're looking for a yummy sammy. Ordering was easy and I waited in their outdoor dining area while it was being made.
