Great chocolate milkshake -- excellent ingredients !! ( no bad artificial stuff) friendly staff had allergen info and got out ingredients. Also had chicken Caesar , Byron hamburger, wings, onion rings , fries. Alas the Caesar dressing was ver bland , and grilled chicken on the salad was a bit off- however both hot / fresh -and served fast.. Fries were ok - nothing special Onion rings had good flavor , as did wings. Burger was very tasty and prepared excellently Wings had interesting hot - slightly sweet sauce

One of the best beers in the world... a can was a slight downer though!

London seemes to have more burger places these days than an American mall and I like it! I am a huge fan of good burgers so I really feel like a kid in a candy store... Byron is definetely in my TOP 3 -burger places. The ingredients are simple but extremely good! Not a huge variety of choises but more than enough... The sides are interesting too. We had courgette fries which were a nice change to the normal potato fries. They also have a nice selection of Brew Dog beers though the fact that they came in a can was rather dissapointing!

As an American who has spent over a year in Europe searching for a decent hamburger has been a personal quest of mine. Finally after endless attempts I found a real, quality American style burger in the heart of London at Byron. The meat was tasty, they actually managed to cook it medium and the flavors were spot on. They have American style fast food fries as well as English chips. Other American favorites fill the menu like onion rings and shakes. They even have real A&W Root Beer, a true taste from home I never saw anywhere else in Europe. The service at the Kensington High Street location was fast and super friendly. Every waitress in the place was friendly and eager to please. If you're searching for a bit of economical American food in London I can't recommend it highly enough. Best burgers I've had in Europe by a mile.

Loved the Byron special. Doneness of the meat was done perfectly! The restaurant ambience is done very well.

When an American goes abroad there are a few daunting worries they are sometimes faced with: abiding by visa regulations, currency conversion, cultural barriers....and the quest for the authentic burger. My beau and I attempted this place a while back after he heard about it from a friend of his. In my book, word of mouth is always good, delicious burger in mouth is always better. I've been here a few times now, and every time I'm greeted by friendly staff with minimal to no waiting time for a table. The atmosphere is warm and well-lit and there are little stylish nuances about the place that you can't help but notice: silly comics and pictures on postcards for the place, or a playing card on your table. The menu may appear limited at first, but in my experience this is usually a good thing for burger joints. They have more than you can handle, and even a drink menu that ups the class a couple notches. I'm pretty sure we took a photo of the label of what their "best white wine" was that first night so we could remember to buy it again later. Who would have thought?! Burger lovers from all over can gather here and know that they even have options for vegetarians or those who prefer the "skinny" bun-free burger (a concept that will forever remain elusive to me) and options for those who are constantly arguing with limited capacity of their stomach. I think my only criticism would be the price of the sides. Not that they're too much, but just that they're à la carte. As any American burger enthusiast would know, most burger restaurants have a meal deal that includes a drink and a side...and it's so conveniently classy that you can just order it by number ("I'll take a #6 please!). But I'm not one to judge. Maybe it's to curb our habit to over eat, maybe it's to allow the burger to proudly stand on its own...maybe it's a genius business scheme because everyone knows that even if we're told french fries (chips) can cause cancer, we know they will always make the burger taste better. Either way, as a proud American I'll join others (US and UK alike) in a coalition effort to recommend this restaurant for the food and service. If this were high school, and each menu item were a member of the school's soccer (football) team, I would proudly say that I've dated most of them. I wandered over to the Byron website and the "Story" section starts like this: "The Byron story hails from the misspent nights of my youth. During a four year stint in America, I ate enough hamburgers to sink the Titanic." And I'm sold all over again.

I was really impressed with the burgers here. My boyfriend had been going on and on about them, so a load of us finally went. He told me to be prepared to pay around £10 for a burger and chips, and I did so although I could have spent much more had I have gone all out with my burger choice. For example, I only had a classic burger with a grilled mushroom. But had I have had a special Byron burger, I would have had to fork out £8 for the burger alone. The burger was pretty damn good, they say it was medium rare but it was a little more to the rare side- this meant it was delicious, juicy flavoursome. With ketchup and mayo and the gherkin INSIDE (they serve it next to the burger for some reason) it was near perfect. I had the hand cut chips and they were a bit soggy, but I like that. I also nicked some onion rings off people and they were crispy, although a little greasy. I did the same with my boyfriend's milkshake, it was very good, but I don't think I could have handled it aswell. Byron's is a great place to go with mates or with family, our waiter was really funny and helpful. Thumb up! I had a massive food hangover the next day though, and felt like I would never eat again.

I ordered the basic cheeseburger and I don't think the meat was of particularly high-quality. Also, it was cold. I also ordered their limited time only roasty tater tots. When I went to pick them up, however, they had run out of tots, and so they gave me a pile of french fries that I could dip in the gravy. Not exactly the same thing, but I thought I'd give it a shot. The fries were cold, so it didn't really much matter. The gravy was also cold. The gravy would probably be good if it were served at room temperature let alone hot. Food temperature and quality aside, the right thing to do would have been to refund the cost of the tots, not try to substitute fries without my agreement. If I had the chance to do it over, I'd skip this place.

Located right across the street from the Gloucester Road station it's really easy to find. And around 12:30 on a Sunday there were plenty of seats. Byron's is modern, yet comfortable. Staff is friendly and they make up a mean burger. Both the Hubs and I ordered the BYRON Burger - with bacon, cheddar, shredded iceberg, tomato, red onion and Byron sauce. At £9.25 the dish doesn't come with fries which is a bit of a bummer, and in turn a bit expensive. But we made sure to add a couple sides to try. The fries (£2.95) were mighty tasty. The order come in a nice size bowl that's easy to share. We also ordered up the courgette fries (fried zucchini sticks) (£3.25). I didn't love these...I guess I'd rather just stick to fresh/crisp zucchini instead of fried. Hubs liked them though. We ended with milkshakes to go. Yum. We spent about £32 ($55) on two burgers, two sides and two shakes. Which, generally, is a bit expensive for us but overall - Byron's a really good meal. Burger was seasoned nicely and cooked as asked. Soft bun. And I'm usually not fan of "secret sauces" but this one is really tasty, don't go without it.

Sometimes there is nothing better than a great burger meal…read more Recently, I was craving just such a meal. In London, there are many choices available for burgers. There are burgers which are honest, dirty and gourmet. There are also burgers that are fast and cheap - but not great. There are others that are great - but not even close to possible if on a budget. But yesterday, I found a place that was worth the search - and the long walk that I took get back to where I found it. Because what I found was a great burger meal, at a great price! I found Joe & Co. I was spending the day on North End Road in South West London in search of a few things that I knew I could find in the neighbourhood. Early on during my shopping I spotted what I thought looked like a great "burger joint". And much later when hunger pains were slowing me down I decided to retrace my steps back to where I thought I had spotted it. The walk back turned out to be longer than I expected, but I soon realised it had been worth the walk and the effort, as what I had spotted proved to be exactly what I was looking for. As what I found was Joe & Co., where I enjoyed what is probably the best burger meal I've had in London for ages! The greeting when I walked in was friendly and enthusiastic. I was invited to, and did, spend some time looking over the selection of burgers, chicken and hotdogs on offer, before settling on what I hoped would be a great cheeseburger and fries meal. I was offered the chance to "have it my way" with a choice of lettuce, onion, pickle and tomato toppings and I said yes to everything. I sat down at the clean and appealing diner retro table and didn't have to wait to long for my choice to be brought to the table. It looked amazing and tasted even better. In addition to the toppings the burger came with, there is a generous choice of additional sauces available at the table - and not in those nasty little packages that I usually struggle to open and usually end up spraying as much on myself as on the burger. The burger was perfect and the fries were some of the best I have ever had. It was, as hoped, a great burger meal. And at a very reasonable price. As I was finishing up, I was asked by, (as it turned out) the owner of Joe & Co, who is actually and reassuringly called Joe, how my meal had been and I offered my compliments and congratulations for a great meal. He was obviously genuinely pleased and interested in my comments, telling me that they had been open only a short time and the efforts being made to provide the best meal with the best ingredients. I told him that he was succeeding entirely! I hope Joe & Co does well, as it deserves to. It's a bit further down North End Road from some of the trendier and more glam spots that are found in the area, but just as it was worth a bit of a walk for me to go back and enjoy the treat that I hoped to find, I can assure anyone else that they won't regret taking a few more steps and building up even more of a hunger for what Joe & Co has to offer. I'll be back again soon for another chance to enjoy the best burger on offer in London.

I noticed the center of the lobster tail was a bit undercooked and didn't taste fresh. Also, the claws were very dry. I ended up getting a really bad stomachache after dinner that lasted the entire next day. Maybe I just got a bad lobster, I don't know. But for me, the burger was the only thing that was tasty here. All I can say is that I have tasted very fresh, juicy lobster at other restaurants compared to this place. For a place that's supposed to be known for lobsters, this establishment was a major disappointment.

Spoiler alert, they are overpriced and need improvement, as do the shakes. The burgers at the pub across the street are probably a better bet, unfortunately. Burger was received as ordered, double-stack. Their house beer cheese is tasty and the beef is flavorful and juicy. However, the patties are poorly formed, largely unseasoned, and small (6oz, hence the double). Mixed feelings on this but a burger shouldn't be domed in the middle nor should it be without basic seasoning unless it really is superior quality. And even then! We also ordered a freakshake, something they're known for. Our server said they were out of multiple ingredients to make it, so we switched to an alcoholic shake (Reeses with a shot of rum, as advertised).
