Came here for a Sunday roast after a visit to the V&A. Opened at 12 which was perfect as we were the first ones inside and got a seat at a table near the bar. This was for people who did not pre book. The staff were very friendly and attentive with our table service. 3/5 Chicken roast - was just ok. The chicken could've been charred a bit more 3/5 Chips - was just ok 3/5 Creams spinach - was just ok 5/5 Bloody mary - probably one of the best bloodies I've had in London. Stopped in for an early dinner with my husband after stumbling around the adjacent Knightsbridge on our last night in London. Upon arrival, a loud triad of obvious Americans stumbled out, clearly angry that they'd been turned away without a prior reservation. An elderly male couple stumbled out right behind, 1 of whom was exceedingly drunk, strangely apologizing for such in a slurred stammer. 'If we can get a table, we're in the right place,' I whispered loudly to my husband, as he edged around the two drunkards at the door. While we had no reservation nor haughty attitudes, my husband managed to charm up a booth, and a delightful time ensued thereafter. Natasha, a delightful young woman with 5 months tenure at the Queens's Arms, welcomed us, took an order for what became several rounds of drinks (Pornstar Martini & Spicy Pineapple Margarita), and gave us a brief history of the place. 'We're in a really posh mews 'round here,' she said in a textbook British accent while leaning in seductively over our booth, electronic tablet clutched tightly to her chest. 'The former car garage across the alley repaired nothing but the most expensive exotics, and Princess Diana used to rendezvous with boyfriends in her friend's flat 'round the corner!' Riveted, we placed an order of appetizers: beef shin croquettes, calamari, and miso chicken skewers. 'Any food allergies?' Natasha inquired quizzically, as she tapped our initial order in for fulfillment. 'None, well-,' my husband began, 'he's not allergic but he doesn't like seafood,' he continued, gesturing accusatively towards me. 'Yes,' I replied with mock-haughtiness, peering over my glasses: 'no fish on my plate nor in my bed; established 1982.' Natasha howled with laughter and took off to work the rest of the room. We placed main orders of the Beer-Battered Atlantic Haddock & Chips (not mine) and the Chicken Milanese with rocket salad & chips. Both were quite decent, although I admit I was very disappointed they were out of the Beef Brisket & Portobello Mushroom Pot Pie, a top seller. Natasha brought us a couple glasses prosecco to celebrate our last night in London, my birthday that had just passed, as well as our recent wedding anniversary; an absolute sweetheart of a woman who completely made our last night in town a joy. We thanked her profusely on our way out, and wanted to somehow go further for what she'd unknowingly done to top off our weeklong trip to Europe. Desiring nothing more than a review placed here at the lovely Natasha's request, my hope is we've accurately illustrated our dining experience at the Queen's Arms, Kensington. Sunday brunch at the Queen's Arms! We ordered the 16 ounce tomahawk chef's special. Ordered medium rare, but it came out probably a touch TOO rare. The restaurant service was a little hectic, but was still pleasant. Gravy was flavorful, carrots and cauliflower too, and their lattes were probably my favorite thing about the meal. We were visiting London, and decided to visit Queens Gate, my husband's old stomping grounds. We looked on Yelp and saw that the Queen's Arms was in walking distance of our hotel. Also, I was glad we were able to book a table ahead of time. We started the evening with drinks and appetizers. The Strawberry and Passionfruit Refresher mocktail was delicious, and I really enjoyed the crispy mozzarella. For my main entree I had the Glazed Chicken Sumpreme which I highly recommend. The service was excellent, and the manager came out to make sure we enjoyed our meal. Wonderful experience overall! read more

Great hidden pub minutes from Royal Albert Hall. Here during "heat wave" but dinner at 5:30 with windows open and cool breeze, vibrant packed pre concert crowd spilled outside, just fun. We visited The Queens Arms twice during our time in London. It was just a short walk away from the apartment we stayed at. First, we had sourdough bread with butter both nights. They bring the whole beautiful round loaf. The first night the bread was divine - airy and fluffy and tasty. The second time it was thick and sort of undercooked, not impressed. We ordered various appetizers and main dishes, and everything was delicious and flavorful. They have a nice variety of beer and cider on tap. Let's not forget amazing Sticky Toffee Pudding! Service was attentive. We would go back for sure. read more

After a quick Yelp search, we decided to stop in here on the way to Kensington Palace from the V&A Museum. It was a Saturday afternoon just before 4PM, but it didn't seem busy upon first glance as many tables were open. With further inspection, we noticed that every single table had a reserved sign on it. After speaking to the workers, they said that they had one table that wasn't reserved until 6PM, so we were welcome to sit there for a few hours. We were only planning on having a drink or 2, so 2 hours was more than enough time. I was thankful that they made the accommodation, but a little confused as to why they didn't wait to reserve the tables. The outside of this pub is pretty unassuming, but inside is decorated beautifully, and they have fresh flowers on each table, which is a really nice touch. read more

A gem! Friendly ambiance, fantastic food and quick service. At 5:30pm Natasha was able to quickly find us a table for 2, although the pub was very busy and most tables were reserved. Natasha and the servers were very attentive throughout our visit. I had a lovely harissa lamb meal cooked to perfection. By 7:30pm ( on a Monday) it was less busy. Down the alley from the main thoroughfare, we discovered the pub having grabbed directions from Yelp. We arrived at 3PM and found maybe a dozen patrons. By the time we left at quarter past four, every table was taken and reserved signs covered half of the occupied with later times written with names. We were greeted immediately upon entering and seated at an available table. The staff were welcoming and attentive. Our beer order came out quickly and then our food order came out super fast and super hot. She had the chicken piece with fries and I had the fish and chips with smashed peas. The fish was obviously fresh caught with the skin still attached, but no bones. Deep fried with a tasty light coating, it was delish. She liked her chicken offering too. I stumbled upon this quaint pub while on business in London several months ago. While small, it accommodates around 20 customers for food. The service was quick and friendly. The excellent food was unexpected. I had the pan roasted cod with prawns and capers along with a nice weisse beer. I can now see why there was always someone waiting for a table for dinner I sat at the bar after dinner and struck up a friendly chat with another patron who lives locally and frequents this establishment. Again, this is a small place and it would not suited a group of 5 or more. But, isn't that what quaint means? I can't wait to visit again. read more

When in London, eat as the British do. Was looking for a great fish and chips spot close to our hotel in Hyde Park and Queens Arms we chose and off we went! Took the tube down about 6 stops from Bayswater to Victoria and walked a short distance to the restaurant. It was a very cold and rainy night so the restaurant wasn't too full which worked great for us. We were seated immediately and ordered an appetizer, a small plate, and a large plate with a side of bread for two people and it was more than enough food. For the small plate, my husband has always wanted to try a scotch egg, so we ordered the chorizo scotch egg on the menu. Then we had the grilled goat cheese with roasted vegetables and asked for a side of bread. And for the main event, we had the iconic fish and chips. The scotch egg was delicious and the egg was perfectly runny, but not too runny. The goat cheese fish was amazing with little bits of balsamic vinegar reduction and pesto throughout the plate so glad we got bread to wipe the plate of the sauce and spread the cheese. And now, let's talk about this massive fish and chips! It's a giant cod fillet that it breaded and fried to perfection!! It was crunchy on the outside and hot and flaky and oh so meaty on the inside. Everything about this was perfection. The best fish and chips I've ever had in my life. The chips (fries) that came with this dish was also delicious and nicely salted. And as tradition would have it, served with tartare sauce and smushed peas. Definitely share this dish as it's very very big! read more

Wonderful find! This pub was recommended in a FB group for Sunday Roast and did t disappoint. Easy to make reservations for 11 in our group. Not everyone had roast, but everything was delicious. We had attempted to find a nice pub with more local flavor. We lucked in to the last free table- all others appeared reserved. Restaurant had a fairly laid back feel; almost a London Hipster vibe. Waiter was fast to take our order and made good recommendations. All I wanted was the fish and chips, which were excellent. Family chose a few other dishes, all were enjoyed. I was pleased to see Beavertown Neck Oil on tap. Cask beers are interesting to try, but sometimes you just need a cold IPA. Excellent blend of modern and traditional.
