Overall a solid neighborhood British pub. It's a great place to grab a pint and a pie. The interior is the classic dark wood and wood floors. Quite a bit of available seating. I would highly suggest making a reservation if you're trying to eat here, especially after working hours and at dinner. The staff is friendly and quick to get everyone served with their favorite frosty beverage. The pies here are a generous portion and absolutely delicious. The other added benefit is the proximity to the tube. You can grab your dinner and get on with your night straight away after your meal. Absolutely awful service. We stayed near by and came in for a drink late on a Sunday. No one let us know the restaurant was closing in 10 minutes, and instead they let us order a drink and sit down before immediately yelling that the place was locking the doors in 10 minutes and we needed to leave. Other people walked in after us, they still served them, and then announced a few minutes later they're closing the doors in a few minutes. All customers were so confused why they continued to serve people if they were closing. A women at a near by table asked about it and the women working was so so rude. I would never go back here and do not recommend at all. Her service ruined the entire experience and name of the bar. read more

We were staying next door, this place gave us the authentic London pub vibe and they had an upstairs dining area so we tried it. Did not hurt that it was crazy busy downstairs in the Pub area so if Londoners like it so should we! We were seated right away, appeared there was only one gal covering service but she was great despite there being several other tables with guests. I ordered the burger/chips and my Hubs did the steak pie. Hearty portions and the food was tasty. I did this delicious rhubarb Cider (Rosie's Pig) with dinner and it was delish. Food was pretty good. I got the bacon cheeseburger and it came with really good fries. the patty was pretty good but a bit over cooked. Loved the brownie with ice cream, all though it would be nice to have more dessert options that aren't necessarily vegan but otherwise pretty good. ambiance was nice too despite it being packed. read more

What I loved most about this pub was the beautiful front design with the black background and contrasting gold letters, absolutely stunning. The inside was also lovely with wood detailing, leather couches, and an impressive staircase. Really an esthetically pleasing building. The server was nice and got me a print out from the kitchen with allergy info so that I could find something gluten free. There wasn't much on the menu that I could have, but I was excited to see and try a new gf beer. I ended up going with nachos and the husband had fish and chips. My nachos were pretty bad, the only cheese was under the paper they were served in burnt in the bottom of the dish. My husband; however, enjoyed his fish and chips and said they were nice and crispy. It was close walking distance to our hotel and pretty affordable. I wish I would have just had drinks here and eaten somewhere else and that would have been perfect. read more

Nice place, excellent location and affordable - definitely not a tourist trap. I tried a bunch of beers before picking one that I liked. We ordered lunch, and we're told the food wait is about 40 minutes. It came out not even 20 minutes later. Generous portions, good presentation. My first pub visit since lockdown! My friend and I specifically looked in a less obvious area to avoid massive crowds. Definitely made the right choice. The Feathers was the only place open around St James's and it's big enough to cope with a fair amount of visitors without getting too busy. It's a massive place and part of a chain but the dark wood panelling and furniture give it a proper pub feel. Good choice of proper beers, too. Table service only at the moment and you are requested to check into their track and trace app on arrival. All staff were extremely friendly and we stayed all afternoon and into the evening. I made fish and chips my first non-homecooked meal in three months. Not the best I've ever had but highly satisfying. read more

Very inviting ambience...warm, cozy interior with friendly service and full of jovial people in the pub! We ordered the pie sampler trio, duck liver pâté and side salad. All was decent. The pâté has a very strong liver taste so it wasn't my fave but still ok. We also came back later for some sticky toffee pudding for our last night here in the UK. Right next to conrad. Convenient location and friendly staff. I only had a quick lunch here but it was memorable. They have a great selection of draught beers. We split a large fish and chips platter. The cod was some of the freshest and biggest I've had. Extremely fresh and flaky with a light batter that lets the fish come through. Excellent tarter on the side and mashed peas. I recommend the £2.50 upcharge for a large platter rather that ordering two full entrees if you want to share. Tourists take note: if you want to sit in the area around the bar (not the main dining room) then you must go to the bar, place your order, and pay. They will bring the food to your table. This save you the frustration of waiting for a server that's never gonna come take your order. read more

I've had enough. Not just this place but all the pubs around london are rubbish. Closing the kitchen for food 3 hours before closing is piss poor. Visiting London is only a good idea if you're 80 years old and go to bed at 7 and eat dinner around 4pm. All the beers are great and staff is generally fairly nice. London needs to figure out their food situation though. Closing the kitchen at EVERY SINGLE PUB hours before closing is a disgrace to the country and a laughable scenario for other countries when visiting. The king definitely needs to consider opening all kitchens until at LEAST 10pm because he is single handedly making his country a laughing stock for all visiting countries. Located next to our hotel made this pub an easy choice! The feathers is a classic Lonfon Pub. Seat yourself and go to bar to order drinks. Fairly busy we sat in back of pub. Nice clean atmosphere. The persons taking the order was ignorant or high and took so long, we paid, and it was after 9:00pm and the cook refused to the order and told her to give us our money back.
