At…read morefirst they said they were done, but didn't diagnose the issue, so I pressed them and they did a more thorough check. After they were done, they recommended a bunch of work which is to be expected. When I started the car to drive off, it sounded like the muffler was removed. I went from having a car that would drive fine in town but knocked at highway speeds, to one I was embarrassed to even start. I ended up selling it to a different dealer. I would NOT recommend their service department, and will not consider them for future car purchases.

I was impressed with this dealership when we first bought our 4Runner five years ago. They went…read moreabove and beyond to get me my vehicle. Now they sent me a rude email asking me to sell them my car because they have a customer looking for one. So? It's not my responsibility to sell my vehicle I love because a potential customer wants one. I replied back with NO. Then instead of accepting said NO, they decide to send texts. if I wanted to sell my 4runner (which I don't) I wouldn't go that far away from my home. there are toyota dealers closer to me I could unload my vehicle. Overall they aren't a bad dealership but I'm unimpressed with their recent behavior. They shouldn't be going through previous customer's information begging them to sell their car to them.

The car is in good condition and is not using any oil etc. Their sister business Twin City Garage did a repair before I purchased and it is working fine. I would not recommend buying from them at all. I recently purchased a 2019 Cadillac from them and…read moreit has not been a good experience at all. First week I had it, I noticed the transmission slipping. Fine they took it and swapped out the transmission torque converter that was causing the problem. Finally get it back out of the shop just for the next day it not to start and strand me at the store. Have it towed to the shop and the starter harness was damaged when they replaced the torque converter and rigged it up and said nothing about it. They said they fixed it but nope just rigged it again to get me out of the shop. Next, no AC. Took it to the shop to see why the AC wasn't working and the ac compressor just fell apart as the cover was taken off. Asked if they would fix it and if course it was no. So I paid for that to get fixed. And here I sit again stranded at the gas station because it won't start. Save yourself money and time and purchase else where. This vehicle has spent more time in the shop than I have been able to drive it. Not impressed at all. If they had completed a proper inspection these items would have been easily identified and maybe repaired before purchased or at least disclosed so I knew what I was getting... however that's not how it happened.

I see the negative comments on here and I want you to understand this a USED car lot so with any…read moreused car lot it's buyer beware. You are given 10 days to test the car out and return it if not running right or just don't fit your vibe . My suggestion to you get the car put it through the paces in the 10 days. And if you don't trust them or think something is off about the car take it to a shop you trust let them do a bumper to bumper check if something was doctored on it they would be able to see it .. also look deep into the car I mean go around it check the trim tires etc ... ever heard of the term drive it around kick the tires ? Do your own homework on the car .. Now I will say my experience with the Bloomington store has been nothing short of complete professionalism and friendly staff .. they answered all the questions I had. Trust me I was waiting for them to trip up on something and show why they have a poor rating but nothing happened. We got a really nice 2022 Jeep . Wife loves it ( happy wife happy life ) and I don't have to pay for endless repairs. Win/win. So ask a lot of questions they have all the information on the car if it was in accidents or factory recalls if it doesn't then you can't hold them responsible for something they didn't know .. Bottom line if you don't like car max then get your credit score up and go buy brand new I promise you they work on commission so they don't care about you they want payday .... As a whole I will give car max a 4.5/5 when you call the number to set something up with the person the phone they are very pushy and don't give all the details they make it sound like the car you picked on line has to be the one you get but not even close to being true . In person they help you forget about the pushy person. Give them a try remember it's a USED car lot do your homework.
