I see the negative comments on here and I want you to understand this a USED car lot so with any…read moreused car lot it's buyer beware. You are given 10 days to test the car out and return it if not running right or just don't fit your vibe . My suggestion to you get the car put it through the paces in the 10 days. And if you don't trust them or think something is off about the car take it to a shop you trust let them do a bumper to bumper check if something was doctored on it they would be able to see it .. also look deep into the car I mean go around it check the trim tires etc ... ever heard of the term drive it around kick the tires ? Do your own homework on the car .. Now I will say my experience with the Bloomington store has been nothing short of complete professionalism and friendly staff .. they answered all the questions I had. Trust me I was waiting for them to trip up on something and show why they have a poor rating but nothing happened. We got a really nice 2022 Jeep . Wife loves it ( happy wife happy life ) and I don't have to pay for endless repairs. Win/win. So ask a lot of questions they have all the information on the car if it was in accidents or factory recalls if it doesn't then you can't hold them responsible for something they didn't know .. Bottom line if you don't like car max then get your credit score up and go buy brand new I promise you they work on commission so they don't care about you they want payday .... As a whole I will give car max a 4.5/5 when you call the number to set something up with the person the phone they are very pushy and don't give all the details they make it sound like the car you picked on line has to be the one you get but not even close to being true . In person they help you forget about the pushy person. Give them a try remember it's a USED car lot do your homework.

This unprepared event had led to a very stressful week, and the only time we got relief was when we made it here. Micheal Costello was amazing, he was so patient even through the anxiety in the beginning, absolutely no hassle, just complete patience and understanding and this calmed me down. After I calmed down, he showed my husband and I more options that we weren't aware of when it came to financing, and found the best plan for us. We were able to get exactly what we wanted too! Honestly, this is the best car dealership experience we've ever had!

TLDR: They installed a faulty part, diagnosed an issue wrong (AFTER I HAD BEEN DRIVING THE CAR FOR…read moreA WEEK) and charged me extra to fix it. 100% their responsibility to get a good part on my car only to have it fail a week later. Clay Dooley charged me an arm and a leg, denied fault for bad used part, then charged me another leg. I had work done on my car back in January. It was a knee assembly. Insurance totaled my car and so I had to pay out of pocket. I took it to Clay Dooley remembering that a family friend used to own the place. After battles with insurance, work finally started in the vehicle. They said that I needed a specific part that they couldn't find. I asked them where they sourced it and found the exact one they were looking for on the website they listed. I contacted Clay Dooley about it and they were mad at the website that the customer found the part before they did. Then I had the part installed into my car- came back with a $1800 bill. It drove fine for a week before the rotor started chaffing and we found a groove. I had my dad check it out, and while reinstalling the wheel we discovered no matter how tight the lug nuts were it was wobbly. We took it back to the shop and they recommended "a new rotor and brakes". I then described what we did and then asked for further inspection. They found the used part had bad bearings. WHY WOULDN'T YOU CHECK THAT BEFORE INSTALLING A USED PART ON A CUSTOMER'S VEHICLE. So they had to install new bearings with a very expensive tool only they had. They wanted to charge me another $600. I said no way this is YOUR FAULT. I disputed it with corporate and they denied responsibility but gave me $200 off. I had no choice but to accept- I couldn't keep driving it the way it was. So it cost me another $400 for a mistake THEY MADE. DO NOT GO HERE!
